Primitive war is terrible for two main reasons: 1. The screenplay is awful, just awful. Full of ridiculous dialogue, tonal weirdness and developments so crazy that you catch yourself mumbling 'what the ****'? Every few minutes. A good explanation to me would be that Beavis and Butthead wrote the script. 2. The acting is so over the top it felt like looking at a middle school play at times. Did I mention that the dinosaurs were pretty much bulletproof? And there's thousands and thousands of them. And they are ravenous and as aggressive as xenomorphs. The dino's were done well, I have to say. And I so wish this would have been that movie I was hoping for, but no. My god what a **** mess this thing is. Holy crap. Go see it if you want something to talk about in a few years. 'Remember that **** movie we went to go see back in 2025. Oh my god, yeah, what was it called again?' That kind of memory. Hahaha.

A perfectly entertaining couple of hours filled with cliches. Cliche characters, cliche story lines and cliche dialogue. But it's made with care and serious intent. The scenes are well crafted and the actors try their best. Too bad no-one recognized that it's all been done before and often more coherently and with less plot holes that this movie has. It's entertaining enough nonsense for an afternoon, but a shame that this much talent didn't make something more memorable together.

Fascinating and horrifying story well told. Thoroughly captivated by the character study and slow interactions that Scorsese let's play out, unafraid the edit them short. It makes the scenes showing the emotionless violence throughout the movie all the more shocking. The blatant injustice and god invoked justification of many murders gets close to unbearable to watch. And even in the end justice never really gets served. As is usual in our country. Great film.

Based on the trailer, I was wanting the story of this movie to be so much better than it turned out to be. Hoping for a mixture of interstellar and ex-machina, the movie is much more like a Star Wars episode; shallow, plot holled and ultimately not very engrossing. Beautifully shot, the main characters - such as they were - left me untouched in any way. It's not a terrible movie, it's definitely watchable, beautiful to look at in parts, but the story is very underwhelming set against lofty expectations admittedly.

Flawed, mildly entertaining Denzel Washington showcase movie with a great opening and some good tense action scenes. Feel like it could have been much better, if the characters had been fleshed out more and the scenes more coherent. Some scenes go on way too long, while other setup pieces are too short and fragmented. Still, I was entertained.

For whatever reason I found the movie much more enjoyable than the average critic or moviegoer. I was thoroughly entertained throughout. The CGI may have been spotty, but the main characters, the story and the dialogue were quite good. In the end it was just another superhero movie, but for me definitely one of the more entertaining ones.

Surprisingly creative, very entertaining and funny movie, which in the process still manages to make some poignant points about gender roles in our society, capitalism and the pressures put on women to be everything to everyone all at once. Having said that, Ken made the movie work. He was hilarious.

Great movie, characters and story. At the same time a blast because of the wild characters, funny dialogue and outlandish story, it stayed with me because of the disturbing underlying societal issues it cheekily addresses. Will watch it again.

An 8 seems too low a score, a 9 maybe a slight exaggeration. It's a good movie though, a great story and it's well told. It's a tapestry of stories really, from very macro developments (pre-2nd world war through mcarthyism) to interpersonal relationships of the many characters, to the internal turmoil en development within the main character, Robert Oppenheimer. Very creative use of sound, vision, color and abstract visions to convey complex inner feelings/thoughts of the titular character. The performances across the board of the many a-list actors is fantastic as well. The 3-hours running time never felt long to me. Amazing to think this all really happened.

Great entertainment from start to finish, hard to find fault in the movie, the story, the pacing, the action, the characters and the production. Even the humor sprinkled every now and then is very good. The Fiat 500 chase scene in particular is laugh out loud funny. If you're in the mood for an action packed thrill ride, look no further and just go see it already.

Not terrible, not great, decidedly better than the previous installment of this long running movie franchise. The story, the main protagonists, and antagonists improvements over the crystal skull. With the exception of the kid. Why does there always have to be a kid?? Enjoyable yet hardly groundbreaking. Then again, you can only make a first time movie magic once. Still, worth seeing.

VERY solid action movie, better than the first one which I liked. Absolutely top notch action sequences throughout, I was sitting on the edge of my seat several times during the movie. The movie felt a little old-fashioned in a way, with notes of 'the wild bunch'. Dating myself a little here. Well done and highly recommend if you're in for an action packed movie. Can't understand the poor reviews, it's a good, solid movie.

Near perfect animated action movie that kept entertaining throughout its long running time. The animation is absolutely top notch, so well done. The story stays light-footed because of the clever and witty dialogue and characters. Special shout out to the main villain 'Spot'. A brilliant job taking him from a running joke to a genuinely scary nemesis. Rightfully being hailed as a high water mark in animation. Can't wait for part two.

Movie rating mostly because of the characters and the oddball humor sprinkled throughout. The downside of watching superhero movie # 832 in the last 10 years is that it's hard to be original. Well made? Sure. Entertaining? You betcha. Novel? Um... No. But well worth the price of entry, I was thoroughly entertained throughout.

It's a clunky movie, lacking any subtlety and it's probably the worst Adam Driver character I've seen him ever play. Stop panting so loudly man! The obstacles come so relentlessly throughout the entirety of the movie that it's almost comical and hard to grasp why the two survivors actually still want to keep going. BUT, it was made with care, and I was entertained most of the time. Among the large variety of dino's the pass the review are some of the gnarliest and genuinely scary beasts I've seen in film. Not a must see by any means, but given the harsh critique that had preceded my viewing, I was pleasantly surprised.

Mildly amusing total fluff diversion of a movie. Can't be taken seriously on any level but enjoyable enough if you just let it happen. On top of everything else, the romantic spark between the leads just isn't there.

Enjoyable movie because of the likeability of the characters, the goofy humor throughout and well crafted fantasy world. Don't watch it for anything deeper than that and you will have a good time!

Stylish as any movie ever made, the movie is an almost three hour riot, that flies by. Filled with fantastic characters and beautiful set-pieces, John Wick and co go about killing even badder guys, and lamenting the consequences of their choices in life. It's a movie about nothing really when you think about it, but then I don't think you want to think about anything while you watch it. Great, great action flick for which you do need to suspend rational thought. Not hard to do though, when the action and characters are this good. Would have liked to have seen more Laurence Fishburn, but then you can't have everything I guess.

Beautifully shot, it's a rough watch for a number of reasons. The story is not only slow to develop, the story it's almost relentlessly downbeat and/or stressful. Because of the limited dialogue and frequent flashbacks, it's hard to develop any kind of feeling for any of the characters. Feels like the movie lasts twice as long as it's running time. Well made, but I won't watch it again! Haha

Biting satire about the deeply flawed nature of human existence. No aspect of human weakness is left unexamined and displayed in a deeply funny/depressing light. We humans don't come off well in this ****. all. Well told, if a bit slow going throughout, it's a good movie that won't leave you feeling good about us as a species.

Good, solid movie which I enjoyed start to finish. The tone was darker and the lack of small humorous moments felt to me like a step backwards from I and II. But then the focus shifted more towards personal demons and regrets in life, which is a hard topic to be lighthearted about. Solid performances all around and I like the creativity of the inner and outward fight scenes of the last fight of the movie. Good movie, but liked II and particularly I better.

The movie is an over te top blast and flew by. Many of the strong man feats are absolutely insanely over the top, but that just adds to the fun of watching. Engrossing story, well directed and cut and the cultural novelty just make it a more interesting watch. The movie did overstay its welcome by about half an hour and the CGI was quite poor at points. Lastly I personally found it hard to mentally swallow the betrayal of the main protagonists. Nitpicking compared to the fun that it was to watch the spectacle. Go see it!

Wildly uneven movie with some great tense action sequences, funny and gory deaths, some really super weird situations and some god awful dialogue moments interspersed throughout the film. The tone is all over the place. Interesting concept with potential, but just doesn't know what it really wants to be.

Nothing wrong with this movie as an entertaining popcorn flick. Nothing special about the storyline either though. But the setting and the quantum realm inhabitants are all very creatively done, and the story never bores. Not movie greatness, but certainly entertaining and worth the watch! Just don't expect anything in the story that you haven't already seen many times before in the Marvel / Starwars universes.

Very creative and wonderful animation. Classic story of falling from grace and ultimate redemption, but done so incredibly creatively and with such wonderful characters, it really is a great movie from start to finish.

Great remake **** movie, but a brutal watch from start to finish. Heartbreaking, it shows just how terrible war really is. Cinematographically speaking it is stunning and the acting is superb. Should be mandatory viewing before signing up to military.

Solidly action packed little movie with good performances by the leads. The side characters, the 'crisis center' the militias and the daughter were perhaps a bit poorly worked out, but the main story was action packed and had a good pace. Despite the killings, to me there was a bit of a Hallmark whiff to it all, with no grey in any of the characters, but not to the extent that it became annoying. Decent action packed movie if you're in the mood.

Well made, thoroughly creepy horror movie. Unsettling atmosphere from the start that really never lets up. That said, the movie doesn't really sway far from a standard horror story buildup and narrative. The strong points are the atmosphere, the main protagonists acting and ultimately the satisfying conclusion which never explains the motivation. Just evil for evil's sake.

Tight little story told with grit and acted out believably by the main characters. Feels realistic, the way the main protagonist slides further and further over to the wrong side of the law. You feel for her and her friend as things start to go wrong. The handheld camera style of filming got a bit on my nerves a little, but other than that, I thought it was a great little movie.

Well made movie that kept me firmly interested throughout. Much more interesting than I thought it would be going in. Ralph Feinnes is particularly good as 'the Chef'. As I was walking out the cinema, another viewer rhetorically asked out loud 'what that was all about!?'. I honestly couldn't tell you, but it has something to do with the meaning of life, the personal cost of perfectionism and corruption of capitalism. Sprinkles of humor throughout kept the fair lighter and stranger than it would have been without. Definitely worth seeing.

Entertaining sci-fi adventure / mild horror movie. Love how Jordan Peele shoots the scenes and does the setup of the stories. The trailer and setup make it feel a LOT scarier than the movie ends up being. Still entertaining and creative, just somehow also a little disappointing.

Let's start with this: it's entertaining, the actors are likeable and there is some nice humor sprinkled throughout the movie. The things DC doesn't get right in my opinion: WAY to dramatic (half this movie is shot in slow motion and strings edge-of-your-seats moments together - it's exhausting!). But most problematic to me is that it firmly stays a comic book movie; a world and plot that are way too simplistic and made up that nothing feels 'real' about what you're seeing. Not real despite the (welcome) imperialistic critique in it's heavy handed undertone. But I was entertained for most of it and I hope DC gets it as right as it did with the Nolan Batman series again some day.

Enjoyed the movie very much. A good story and great leads it kept me spellbound until the end. Have not researched the authenticity of it all, but as a movie it was an impressive experience, watching these fierce women battle and bond.

Thoroughly entertaining, if a bit pointlessly meandering modern fairytale. The leads are captivating and the settings and story (and sub-plots) well crafted. Not sure what the point of it all was, when the story ended though. Worth the watch if you have a few hours to kill.

Really enjoyed this movie, the convoluted story is told with real gusto and sharp editing. And the characters are all wonderfully weird. The dialogue was sharp and witty. I was highly entertained, if the movie runs perhaps 15 minutes too long, and the tongue in cheek humor goes a little off the deep end at the end. Big thumbs up though.

Really wanted this movie to be a lot better than it was. The trailer looked like so much fun. But it was soooo vanilla, really no surprises of any kind whatsoever. Down to the last kill .. never fails. Ugh, what a waste of talent.

Solid, engrossing story and performances. Well told and played out. Some minor illogical behaviors by the predator which only serve to keep the story going which is a shame. And it's a predator movie, so there's some unavoidable deja vue all over again. But all in all highly entertaining.

Big names, exotic characters and locations, some funny one-liners and plenty of action, the movie has many elements that could have made it really good and entertaining. But then they had to make the plot complete and utter nonsense. So you end up with another Big Mac kind of movie; mildly satisfying when you eat it, but when it's done it will leave you mentally malnourished. Haha

I was entertained despite the multitude of movie shortcomings - and there's quite a few. The story is flimsy, non-sensical AND full of plot holes, and still it's a fun watch. The main characters are likeable, the action sets pieces entertaining and there's dino's all over the place. It's the simple pleasures, right? And there's some nostalgia is seeing all the characters from all the movies I grew up with. But you won't find anything 'new' or clever here. Just enjoy the ride.

In the moment, while watching, the scenes manage to exhilarate and evoke testosterone infused manly man feelings throughout. After the movie is done, and the story sinks in, one can only smirk at the absolute nonsense that you just swallowed, hook, line and sinker. Tom Cruise is Ethan Hunt and Superman in a flight suit, it should have been called Mission (Im)Possible 8. But the dog fight scenes and all. that. machismo. are fun to watch while it lasts..

Once the slow, and quite frankly slightly irritating first 20 minutes are over and the action starts, the movie takes off. In turns bizarre and funny, the story really comes together in the incredible poignant and emotional final half hour. Nothing matters so the little things are the most important things in life. We're only here for but a moment, so be kind to each other. Loved the creativity of writers and the energy of the cast. Will definitely go see the movie again. Great watch.

Thoroughly enjoyable movie, even if the plot is entirely predictable (and complete nonsense). But the story is told with full commitment, and the characters are delightfully quirky and flawed. Channing Tatum in particular is very funny, channeling his best clueless and insecure Jumpstreet 21 character. It was just nice to watch an unpretentious, funny movie with heart in these times.

More substantive movie than I'd expected, dealing with PTSD and the after effects of war much more front and center than I'd expected. While the outcome of the story was never in doubt, the trip getting there is still worth while, albeit a bit uneven in tone.

Very good movie. Loved the director's take on the Batman as a brooding singularly vengeful character who evolves as the plot unravels. Loved the villain(s), very well done characters and loved the somewhat convoluted story. Special mentions for the action sequences (fights) and for the Batmobile, which is absolutely sick. So cool. Some minor .. irks? The pace of conversation could be a little more varied. Every single one seemed to go at a snails pace, and everything whispered for some reason. Speaking of snails pace, can Batman walk faster when he's not fighting?

Entertaining popcorn flick which biggest plus is the tone and heart. Everyone involved in making of this movie deserves a kudos for delivering a very satisfying experience. I found myself smiling on and off, throughout its long running time. Well done.

Entertaining satire on modern society and our inability to deal with difficult issues. While not particularly clever, I was entertained throughout. Watching it I was thinking how any republican voting person is going to hate this movie and every democrat voting person is going to be like the Leonardo di Caprio meme figure going smugly pointing at the TV going 'yeah, that!'. The state of our union I suppose - sad as it is.

On paper this movie was a blast; I was looking forward to seeing Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gale Gaddot, all of whom I enjoy as people as well as actors, together in an international heist movie. But the movie just doesn't work. It's tedious and, despite the many MANY action sequences, dare I say boring? No chemistry between Ryan and Dwayne, nor Dwayne and Gale. The story is completely unbelievable and feels like it was written by two drunk teenagers. Plot twist, Russian Goulag, Plot twits, **** treasure, plot twist, plot twist, plot twist! Maybe if I had been slightly drunk myself it would have been better. Watching it completely sober, it was a sobering experience. Too bad, I had such high hopes..

Stylish western, with a great cast. Had an old fashioned 'feel', mixed in with a touch of Quentin Tarantino. Many bigger than life characters and a number of memorable, drawn out scenes throughout. Good watch.

Oh my word what a pretty movie this is. So aesthetically pleasing. Loved the images and the pacing. Loved the cast without exception. Can't really judge how difficult the story is to follow along for those unfamiliar with the narrative, but I found it a mesmerizing experience. The 2 and a half hours flew by. A must see for any sci-fi enthusiast. This is how it's done.

Well made, the action set pieces sharp as as ever, but the movie underwhelmed as a whole. Maybe my expectations were too high, but left the theater disappointed. Disappointed with the villain, a very much underdeveloped character and who is rather weak, for lack of a better word. Speaking of underdeveloped, so is the plot. And then the end.. well go see for yourself. It's well made and entertaining but just wish it were a better final Daniel Craig bond movie.
