As close to flawless as it gets. Maybe, just maybe, it starts off just a tiny bit slow in my opinion, but I low key couldn't care less.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a rare example of an animated film where every creative element works in harmony. The stylized animation gives action real weight while allowing the world to visually respond to character psychology. Puss is portrayed as a layered figure through the blend of heroic bravado and subtle feline behavior, brought to life by an excellent Antonio Banderas. Wagner Moura’s Death stands out as a chilling and symbolic antagonist, reinforced by outstanding sound design and a memorable whistle motif. The score blends orchestral adventure with Spanish influences, while humor is well balanced and never undermines emotional moments. Goldilocks and the Bears add unexpected depth, and even minor characters feel purposeful. The story’s focus on mortality, fear, and choosing how to live gives the film real emotional power, making it not just a great animated film, but a great film overall.

There is a lot to like here, not least Ray Winstone’s Papa Bear. The forests are Skittle-coloured. The set pieces are wild and kinetic. But it is Banderas’s star power that saves the day.

Kids are going to love it because it’s fun and they’ll be able to spot the different nursery rhyme characters. This adult loved it because it’s funny as hell and the performances were great across the board.

With an excellent cast and style, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is one gorgeous and dynamic fractured fairy tale.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish brings a playful quality to the animated feline as well as a deeper message. When it comes to long-delayed sequels it’s wise to be careful what you wish for, but overall the film manages to nimbly land on its feet.

How bland and forgettable this film is, without in the smallest way harnessing the real performing power of Banderas, Colman, Pugh, Winstone et al.

So far better than the first one ! really nice moment watching it. Death's character is a bit desappointing at the end and I hate the dog.

Entertaining story, but the graphics and animation were horrible! If I wanted to watch anime...well I never want to watch anime. I feel robbed paying to watch this because it was all anime, especially the action scenes.
