I went in to this with LOW expectations and I was shockingly surprised. It's not as bad as some people say, and in fact, overall, it was pretty decent. It has some good suspenseful moments -it's better than a lot of other stuff out there. If you like the genre of horror/suspense then this should entertain you.

The critics are all overly rewarding in their praise of this film. It indeed has a nice style to it, but the "Lord's" voice is difficult to understand and frankly, the story of Nosderatu and Dracula have been done so many times, that the movie is boring. The performances were great, but it just isn't going to hold your attention unless you're some die-hard fan of this story.

Foltks -- this movie is NOT a comedy. It's primarily a very "angst-driven" film that was more annoying and frustrating to me than enjoyable. With that said, it certainly is decent for what it is. It's about twoJewish cousins who go on a trip to Poland to visit the house their grandmother lived in as a child. Along the way, the go to a concentration camp and tour it. The performances are good. Again, it aint a comedy.

There are some movies that should never get made. This is one of them. There is absolutely no script and no point to this at all. Do NOT let the trailer fool you into thinking there's some 'cool' story like "Inception" or "The Matrix" or even "Dr. Strange," it's simply a pointless indulgence in self-serving pretentious nothingness that some some rich guy made and paid for himself. This movie starts off ANNOYINGLY slow. It's simply one annoying party scene after another for almost 30minutes or so. There's nothing moving the plot forward or anything that give the film a "point." When something does happen, then the movie picks up and is fairly decent for the next 30-40 and finishes strong in the last quarter. Channing is OK and the lead actress (another inter-racial thing.... RIP white couples) has zero chemistry with Channing, however, she gives a good performance.

You can't just try to meet some quota!!! Stop with all the WOKE crap and focus on making movies. As for the rest of it, I have to say once the girl was "gone," the movie held my interest. I thought it was well done and I liked the story, the action and the cinematography. The Scarsgard guy is good... he's pretty good in most movies. --- Hey if you go in expecting horrific, as I did from the reviews, you might be pleasantly surprised.

This move tries really hard with to "copy" the style of really good interesting movies like "Good Fellas." I walked about after about 90 minutes. I decided I'd rather be home and watch another episode of "Outer Range" than stuck for another 30 minutes on a bikeride that feels like a stationary bike.

This film is very uneven. It tries really hard to tug at the heartstrings with sappy music in the opening scene. It's primarily a snooze-fest for the first half hour, focusing on a relationship with a girl, instead of concentrating on the issues the boy has with his father. In this film, it's a throw-away, instead of the catalyst for this man's journey and pay-off. The story itself about this Olympic underdog is one that will make you cheer, and in the hands of a better director and screenwriter, perhaps that would have translated into another "Chariots of Fire" type film. Instead, this is more of a made-for-TV film, one you might expect on the Hallmark Channel. Does it have moments, yes absolutely, is it a great movie.... not so much.

This movie is truly engaging. The lead actress is amazing as are all the other performances. As engrossing as it is, it's not with faults, and several of them. First and foremost, like most french films, this one is too long. Some of the courtroom scenes are too long and superfluous. Lastly and more importantly ==== SPOILER ALER ===== there was never any doubt whatsoever what the verdict would be and that's a problem. Without having that tension, the film became longer than necessary and ultimately didn't lead to any big surprise endings. Perhaps those sorts of endings are too "American?" Anyway, it's worth watching, if she's eligible for an oscar nod, I hope she gets it.

Hi I'm sorry. The movie I watched had an extremely slow beginning and was poorly edited - jumping back and forth through time without really every explaining what was going on. It's as if they were trying to do quantum mathematics instead of simple addition that easily told a concise story. Too many loose ends. The middle portion of the movie was strong, but overall too much repetition of material and too much jumping around. Matt Damon was the worst actor in the movie. He has become a caricature of himself. When he walks on screen - you see Matt Damon, not a General. All the other actors blend in nicely and give great performances.

For a night out at the movies, it's no worse than most of the garbage put out in 2020 and 2021, with the exception of 'Spiderman,' but if you're expecting anything akin to the original Matrix, you're **** outta luck. The entire first hour of the film was a wink and nod to the original Matrix, with flashbacks etc... and it played like an episode of a TV series doing a season recap, rather than a serious sequel. It's as if Marvel uses a cookie cutter for its scripts with the obligatory goofy comic moments and earnest back-stories to try to please everyone. The only thing it does is make for incoherent film making. The movie had moments and perhaps if were edited down it would have made one mediocre episode in a TV series, but instead, it goes on and on for over 2hrs 15mins where it devolves as the minutes go by, ending with a silly over-the-top ending with dragons that look more like rainbow unicorn toys than anything mythical. This is NO Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon -- nor does it compare to 2017's Wonder Woman. With not much else being release - if you have nothing better to do, then sure go see it. It bogs itself down with senseless silly dialogue that NO ONE cares about. You know... where the movie tries to be funny and witty and silly... it tries so hard that it's annoying. But, I thought, well, a minor detour can't be too bad, except this detour never returns to the action seriousness and fun of the beginning.
