Smile 2, directed by Parker Finn, is more thematically ambitious than the original, which also allows Finn to stage more satisfyingly ridiculous kills and ramp up its air of delirium

This is the antithesis of a sequel for sequel’s sake. Instead, it’s second verse, even catchier than the first.

After enjoying the first movie, this one was phenomenal. I jump scared multiple times. LOVE LOVE LOVE the main character, rooted all the way to the credits. The films story makes it horrifically plausible to the reality of being demonically cursed. Music was a nice touch. Loved to see Jack Nicholson's son play an iconic smile role that made you feel Jack himself was in his prime. Cannot wait for Smile 3!

Smile 2, filmmaker Parker Finn’s audacious follow-up to his 2022 breakout hit, “Smile,” delivers all the jump scares, gore and supernaturally plastered-on grins a horror fan can take while also commenting, thoughtfully yet also disgustingly, on the perils of fame.

Smile 2 confirms Finn as a gifted visual stylist who has an assured hand with his actors. He perhaps just needs to back off a little from the misconception that more is more and maintain a greater focus on his story skills.

Smile 2 goes in a newish direction, to frustrating mixed results — but it’s a mixed bag you can respect because it’s not hackwork and it’s trying new things.

Creepy and clever but rarely surprising, this horror hits its marks well enough, but fails to surpass its more rough-and-ready predecessor.

Even though it doesn’t take its own storyline seriously enough, Smile 2 is entertaining. Don’t expect the horror film to have the best commentary on mental health issues, but be ready for some jump-scare fun.

One of the best horror movies I've seen in recent memory and an absolutely spellbinding performance from Naomi Scott. You really feel the fear and anxiety she experiences in the film and you root for her all the way. Genuinely scary and unnerving, and done so well that this movie could have even worked as a great psychological horror film if the Smile entity was removed from the story.

"Smile 2" is a bit too long and the visual effects are terrible. Nevertheless, Parker Finn's second film starts off with plenty of confidence, offering interesting visual flourishes, a great performance from Naomi Scott, creative practical effects, a few genuinely creepy scenes, and overall an entertaining movie night.

Naomi Scott does gives a phenomenal performance as the main lead. Her character's slow descent into insanity is very convincing thanks to Naomi's performance! Some of the scares are pretty good and not all just obnoxious jump scares. A memorable one being the dance troupe scare, which was very creative. There is also an incredible one take scene at the beginning. However, I am slightly disappointed with this sequel as it is the exact same as the 1st movie but with a different coat of paint. The main character's journey is the same and even the twist is the same. The sequel doesn't expand on the lore of the smile demon and offers nothing new in the story. It also still has many of same problems from the first film such as being over reliant on jump **** you like the 1st one, you are going to like this one because it is basically the same movie. Hopefully, they do something different with the inevitable 3rd one.

Smile 2,Hollywood horror film, has hit theaters. Directed by Parker Finn, the movie revolves around Skye Riley (Naomi Scott), a famous pop singer haunted by her dark past.*Story:* Skye experiences terrifying events, and her past catches up with her. The film showcases creepy smiles, jump scares, and a thrilling plot.*Technical Aspect:*- Background music: Umpta and heart-pounding- Wide-angle shots and impressive color grading*Drawbacks:*- Difficulty empathizing with Skye- Abrupt climax- Lengthy (2 hours 12 minutes)*Final Verdict:* Smile 2 is a must-watch for horror fans. The film delivers scares without excessive gore or nudity, making it suitable for family viewing.*Recommendation:* Don't miss this thrilling ride! Review Source: ****

The first movie was a cross-over hit with non-horror fans because it was clever and effective. Here we’re in the non-relatable world of pop music ****, that means enduring several awful pop numbers, high school musical choreography and many ridiculous stage costume changes. It takes the dense protagonist fully 90 minutes to begin piecing together the curse, which is exhausting because presumably ticket buyers have all seen the first and are way ahead of her. Occasional freight train-loud horn & whistle blasts pass for jump-scares but are more likely there to keep viewers awake. This seems aimed directly at 14-year-old babysitters.. I frankly can’t image anyone not in that demographic thinking this is a “good movie-
