The tension never lets up throughout Longlegs, though it is peppered with a dry, black humor that somehow just makes everything more disturbing.

Thanks to its meticulous Craftsmanship, unsettling narrative, and Nicolas Cage's most harrowing role yet, 'Longlegs' is a masterclass in psychological horror that lingers long after the credits roll.

Watching Nicolas Cage as Longlegs was one of the most captivating and wild performances that I felt like I have seen him in, and he does a ton of crazy characters! I loved the darkness, and evil undertones in his film that just ride in the background throughout the entire piece. It has a pretty definitive end, and I believe is ripe for a sequel. I absolutely loved this movie. It is one of my favorite recent horror movies, and the best movie of 2024 in my opinion.

I haven't felt this uneasy watching a horror movie since Hereditary. if you complain about a lack of originality in horror movies, you need to see this.

There’s an unexpected elegance to this window into unimaginable evil.

There are many hallmarks of the psychological horror at play (a creepy killer, a traumatised survivor, a parent with dark secrets) but under Perkins’ careful hand, the familiar feels unnerving all the same, a puzzle box dripping with bright red blood.

In Longlegs, writer-director Oz Perkins establishes a strong enough sense of mood and atmosphere to absorb a DEFCON-2 level Nicolas Cage performance

Monroe, steely and strong, cuts like a knife through this almost cartoonishly severe film. Nasty stuff? Yep.

What one does not expect is a load of total trash full of gimmicks instead of ideas, stolen scenes from other movies instead of originality, amateurish posturing instead of professional performances, clueless meandering instead of organized screenplays, and pointless confusion instead of clear-eyed direction.

Terror psicológico, sin jumscares ni gore, de ese que a la mayoría no le gusta por ser mas lento y menos bombástico, pero para mi esta película estuvo escalofriante hasta la médula.

I approached this film expecting something intense, even unsettling. The idea seemed ideal for that: a dark investigation, broken characters, and a slow descent into uncomfortable places. What surprised me is that instead of real fear, I found a story more interested in being strange than disturbing. At times, it feels like the movie tries to unsettle you through visual style alone, and while that can work, it didn’t always click for **** pacing was my biggest issue. The story moves slowly and takes a long time to deliver anything truly emotional. Silence, shadows, and ritualistic details aim to build tension, but if you don’t connect with that language, the film starts to feel heavy. I don’t need jump scares or cheap tricks, I enjoy psychological dread, but here everything stays on the surface. I never felt true tension, only a constant waiting.Nicolas Cage finds one of those roles he enjoys the most: exaggerated, unpredictable, and overflowing with eccentricities. He is always interesting to watch; even when you’re not fully convinced by the story, his presence keeps your attention. Still, his performance feels more like a theatrical display than an actual threat, which reduces any emotional impact the movie could have **** visual design deserves praise. It is elegant, obsessive, and strongly atmospheric, with every frame crafted to build a claustrophobic mood. If the film had a clearer emotional core, these images would probably have hit harder. Instead, I felt that the film relied too much on aesthetics to generate fear. Without deeper emotional tension, the visuals end up feeling cold and **** the end, it’s a film more interested in mood than storytelling. Some viewers will find it hypnotic, others will get tired of waiting for something stronger to emerge. I personally remained outside of its emotional circle. If you enjoy slow, stylistic horror with a strong visual personality, this may be for you. If you’re looking for a narrative that truly grabs you, it might leave you halfway.

Well it is okayish but for me it does not feel too much like a horror movie at most of the times and some parts towards end are also not properly explained like the doll and so on.

Longlegs é sicuramente un film che durante la sua visione nonostante a mio parere non ci siano momenti spaventosi lascia comunque un profondo senso di disagio ma accompagnato da una storia troppo lenta e per nulla interessante per arrivare a un finale veramente orribile

I mean... come on. Such a mess of a story, no real triggers, infantile characters and a really cliche approach toward the genre. And the acting of all characters including Cage isn't worth a buck!
