Green delivers a smart, sturdy second chapter. Low consequence, perhaps, but still highly entertaining.

Second films in trilogies are often the toughest to pull off. Maybe Green’s final chapter, Halloween Ends, will redeem what he’s done here, which ultimately feels like very little progress at all.

I expected to hate the movie. I went into it knowing the reviews were bad BUT I have to say its the best of this Halloween trilogy. See it as a Halloween 3 - Season of the Witch type movie. Absolutely loved it

It’s even better than the 2018 one, which was a masterpiece for me. The OST is god.

It gets the job done for trick-or-treat season, but this sequel falls short of expectations by sidelining its luminous star Jamie Lee Curtis and substituting rote mayhem for an inventively scary frightfest.

As a thoroughly modern, self-reflective revival of one of the most famous horror films of all time, 2018’s Halloween felt like a small miracle. Its sequel suggests that Green shouldn’t have pushed his luck.

What Halloween Kills lacks in ideas it partially makes up for in gruesomely authentic slasher texture. From cinematography to editing, casting to oozy prosthetic gore, Green and his crew have recreated the feel of the Carpenter original with an almost academic diligence, particularly in an extended 1970s-set opening flashback.

Every kill on display here is to someone superfluous, immediately forgettable, or both. The special effects are decent at points, but at what cost? To bridge the gap to next year’s final entry? There’s just no impact here.

Rarely will you see a more soul-numbingly empty product of this tragic operation than Halloween Kills, a film that so completely sucks the vitality out of John Carpenter’s and Debra Hill’s original vision that one would be tempted to call it a desecration if that didn’t make it sound like more fun than it actually is.

Halloween Kills felt weak, weaker than expected. After Rob Zombies Halloween 1+2 I had hopes for the series but the screenplay and the characters felt not interesting at all. Mixing up stupid villagers with Jamie Lee, some uninspired kills and absolutely no story at all makes exactly what it sounds like: a quite boring movie. It could ve been worse and you might enjoy the movie but it is definitely something forgettable that I wont re-watch anywhen soon if ever.

Weakest and most disappointing of all the Halloween movies. It’s like they forgot what made Michael Myers scary.

No Horror, Not exciting, Only Blood
I didn't foresee the end, but I don't care because I wouldn't watch the next part anyway.
