Great soulslike. Bought the disc version on sale for half price. Money well spent. I would rate it 8/10, but give 10/10 because it can use some more love. Playing on the PRO, quality mode: It is true that performance is not perfect but after patches it is quite good. Exploration is top, great character builder, fun bosses, weapons, it is all in here. It is an anime Elden Ring like game. Was doubting if I santed to buy it. but have been playing it ever since I got it, now at 25 hours gameplay.

For now I score it an 8. It appears to be a love it or hate it game, seeing other reviews. The game needs some more polishing here and there and some QOL improvements, not that it is bad as it is imo, but can be improved. Seems to me the devs are involved and willing to listen to the players, so after some patched etc I can see this game being an easy 9. I believe we will remember it for a long time. As said it is a mix of Witcher 3, Zelda, RDR2... Also: story so far is not as bad as some people make believe.

What a great and addicitive game this is. I like it better than Nioh 1 & 2, but that might be because I am not so good at them. Nioh 3 is more doable on difficulty , although it is not an easy game by any means. It is often compared to souls games, I would call it souls meets action rpg, or soulslike on steroids: the combat in this game is way faster than in Souls games,which I love. The open world /area system is great, exploring is fun and there is a lot to be found on the map. The graphics are certainly not the best, but on the PS5 PRO I've noticed the game gets upscaled with PSSR, and some areas or moments do look pretty impressive, while other areas look super bland, like with many Team Ninja's games. Shrines work as usual: save point, level ups, reset enemies, set Powers and items, etc. , but are also your fast travel locations: this is a great way to move around the map quickly. There are plenty QOL implemented, maybe most notable the option to select the best gear to wear by a single press on the R3 button in the equipment menu. For those who do not enjoy all the gear and stats comparing this is some kind of auto-equip mode. Talking about gear: the game has a transmog option to make any piece of gear look like how you want it, to always look your best when fighting human and yokai enemies. When I am at a boss that is too hard, I simply go for coop. So plenty of options for more casual gamers like me (finished some souls games) , but I am sure the hardcore Nioh fans and masocore gamers will also have their moments of fun and glory. I recommend highly!

I see this game getting a lot of hate thats why I just have to give it a 10/10 score. My rral score would be 9/10. It kept me interested from beginning till end, non stop. Beautifull world, pretty graphics (pro+oled) , great world building, and so on. It is one of the best souls games I have ever played.

Amazing game ! I'm only just halfway into Chapter 2, so keep that in mind. But I believe this is enough hours into it (around 10-15) to give it this (initial) score. I play the game since may 2025 so a few updates and patches have been released by now. Also: I do play this game on the PS5 pro, on a 4k Oled monitor. This has certainly some advantage in the gameplay and visuals and also adds to my rating. After playing around a bit with the graphics settings I agree with many players that 'balanced mode' hits the sweet spot. The game looks absolutely stunning and feels responsive enough. There have been some divided opinions by others where part of the reviewers call this a souls-like game, other call it rather a GOW style adventure game.I can understand both opinions but this is absolutely not a casual player game. Altho I would still recommend it to casual players if they're not afraid of failing and trying again. I'm no hardcore souls player eiher. I do actually have some hate-love relationship wih them. I enjoyed the most recent title, Elden Ring most and made quite some progression towards the end, but never finished it. Also this game, Black Myth Wukong has some very challenging bosses! Sometimes some grinding is required to level up before certain encounters. But in the end, so far I been able to defeat all bosses within a few attempts , the harder ones maybe 15-20 attempts before victory. It feels very rewarding. I would certainly place this in the souls-like genre. Yes, it is more forgiving since gained xp is not lost upon dying. Bonfires in this game are replaced by shrines. The shrines have lots of options like respec, fast travel, potion making, etc. I booted the game and have been playing it for three days now, whenever I had the time to play. It is addicitve. I can understand not every player enjoys this game but to me it is absolutely great so far. Epic bosses, amazing graphics, great character building with lots of skills, gears weapons,.. Highly recommend.

This game is an absolute masterpiece! I've played the original part 2 back in the days on my PS4. Now, playing it on the PS5 again, it is a real joy. Technically this game is very (very!) well made. The visuals I must say are stunning, sometimes mind blowing. This and Horizon FW are the gold medal winners of what I've seen displayed on a PS5 so far. If I switch to another game it is like going back to an older gen console sometimes. The level of detail is insane. There is some LBGTQ+ stuff going on here, not my cup of tea but it's not into your face all of the time so I can live with it. Story is good. There is a nice way of upgrading your weapons and skills and such,with parts you scavenge from buildings. There is loads and loads of stuff to gather: in the options menu there is an option that lets you auto pick up materials. Turn it on it's a life saver!enemy AI is top level. Fighting is brutal! It is a must play game. People scoring it 0 and such are real losers.

Just a very decent game. Not sure why the low scores. Maybe it's because I've played it with lots of patches and updates already done compared to early reviews. My opinion: Slow paced, thrilling game. Rather short. Very good Visuals and graphics. Good story. Not a perfect game but It was what I was hoping it would be.

This game does not go higher than a 'ok 7'. I've seen way better games getting rated lower scores than the average 8 I see it scoring here. Says a lot about rating here on metacritic ofcourse.

Seeing all these low reviews I come here to do justice to the game and it's developers. Mindblowing intro, great action and mechanics. And that for their first give. Bravo really!

Yeah WOW! I played all 3 of the games before, and this remake is just fantastic. It was a brilliant game in it's genre back then, and it's still briliant today. If sfi-fi / space / horror appeal to you even just a bit: just get this gem, you will not regret it.

For me The Callisto Protocol delivers. Not sure why people don't enjoy it: Is it too high expectations? Is it because I'm an old school gamer with different taste compared to a newer generation? I played and finished all Dead Space games in a long ago past, and Callisto Protocol, often referred to as another Dead Space game, really hits that sweet spot. It ticks mosty of the boxes I expect this kind of game to be. It has nice graphics, solid gameplay, a great scifi / horror vibe to it, cool weapons and upgrades, ... A very cool feature I find the upgrade stations that does some awesome 3D printing, called Reforge Stations. Fighting multiple enemies can be a bit tricky. My true score would be an 8, but to counter all the unfair,low hate or dislike scores I give it a 10. If there's going to be a sequel, count me in.

Seeing this game getting such a low user score is non sense. I've been enjoying it a lot so far (mission 7) It has nice graphics, smooth gameplay, a variety of play styles, AI is pretty nice (imo the best I've seen in a while), ... Story and cutscenes are pretty average and do not add a lot to the game. Sometimes a bit linear and invisible walls. I score it an 8/10.

I'm going for a 9. Honestly, first of all I never finished the first game. Tried it a few times on the PS4 but the robot world never really got me going nor interested. (Not that I thought of it as a bad or unpolished game obviously) So was I excited for this second game? Not at all. It came with the PS5 I bought so I gave it a try, knowing it was not going to be my type of game. When booting up the game this was my first impression exactly "meh, not my type of game" . Still, gave it a few hours of gaming and man, now I'm really excited for the game. The world is fantastic, the visuals are breathtaking, Fun gameplay, some puzzels, Smooth 60fps gaming. So yeh I'm convinced now. That's why I Came here to pledge my admiration for this game.

Just a great game. Not perfect maybe, bit it's got me going on for quite some hours now. Never really got into the demons souls games, altho something inside of me always wants to buy these kind of games because of the Lore and dark medieval fantasy theme (Well yes not bloodbourne and Sekiro obviously) . Now, with Elden Ring I finally manage to not get too frustrated and push on. The open world is a Nice addition to the series. Questlines are quite hard to follow sometimes. This game 'm going to finish! (With a smile on my face!)
