A truly emotional little adventure. It's more of an interactive experience than a game, but that doesn't detract from the good time you can have with Abzu.

It's mind-blowing how incredible this game is, even 13 years after its release. I can hardly find a single negative thing to say about it—and that's coming from someone who usually doesn't enjoy stealth games. This is exactly the kind of experience I want from a game: immersive, breathtakingly beautiful, thought-provoking, meaningful, and packed with player freedom. chapeau and well done Arkane!

The Messenger6

I think the Messager can be a nice albeit average addition to anybody's platformer collection. Gameplay wise I liked a handful of the levels and challenges but the controls and knockback made the experience cluncky. Writing is funny, there are some cool surprises in the game, the pixel art, music and sound are too oldschool for my taste and in general I don't like when artists just copy a style without bringing something new to it. The metroidvenia part it's just backtracking with the abilities you have already aquired.

Amazing! For me, it scratched my cyberpunk wants from a game. I can't believe how ahead of its time the gameplay was. The semi-open world and level design work even in 2024. I enjoyed almost everything about this game. Bravo!

Dark Souls III9

Great game! Even though it lacks the amazing level design of DS1 or the atmosphere of Bloodborne it feels like the perfect linear formula for a From software game. The bosses are all great even though some are on the easy side. The lore is as deep as ever, the levels are really fun and polished, and the combat feels great with a lot of weapons in the mix to try.

BioShock Infinite7
Mar 24, 2024
BioShock Infinite takes players on a journey through the skies of Columbia, a floating city brimming with breathtaking visuals and artistic direction that will leave you in awe. Gameplay wise you can expect a mediocre shooter saved by the grappling hook which made it all right for its short run time. I enjoyed my time with the game but I found the story cluttered and lacking in character development. Somehow hard to recommend it in 2024, but I feel the setting must be experienced.

Celeste is a well-done game with great narrative design, simple mechanics that work well, and great music and sound! This game also made me realize I don't enjoy precision platforming. Fortunately, the most frustrating bits are towards the end. But if you enjoy millimetric jumps with spikes everywhere this game is for you!

Elden Ring8
Dec 3, 2023
Elden Ring is a good game - period, but I feel it lost something compared to previous games from FromSoftware. First the good stuff, gorgeous art direction, snappy combat with a lot of playstyle to suit your fantasy(but unfortunately not so balanced), breathtaking moments in vista discovery, and some of the best legacy dungeons.
Now for the bad stuff, this feels like a wikipedia game, I couldn't finish even a sidequest, and I missed a lot of content that felt too important in my first playthrough like Malenia. I don't think that is good design. Then there are the recycled bosses.. urgh, DS1 had a handful of bosses but they feel much more impactful and memorable. Also final boss wasn't that memorable, and rather frustrating.
The open world aspects offer a lot of awe and amazement but also can break the game due to over leveling, under leveling can be ok, sure, but damn defeating a story boss on your first time diminishes the importance of these mythical beings. And talking about some story aspects, I find it hard to connect. It's cryptic in a way that doesn't help it compared to the other souls likes. I felt like a psychopathic outsider who arrived in a world just to kill everything. I genuinely root for FromSoftware and I love their games that's why I am so critical of every detail in Elden Ring. I hope they learned a lot with their first open world and we will see even a better game with the sequel.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire7

I wanted to like this game more because I really liked the world and all the deep lore, but it had so many things going against it. The writing is pretty bad my biggest problem is the inconsistent tone, the gameplay is too safe, and too old school imo, and it felt that it provides 2 interesting dungeons in my 40-hour playthrough and the ending was just lackluster. I love RPGs but I think there are better options out there to put the hours in. I will still give it a 7 because again I liked the world, the locations were beautiful, good music and good sound, there are some interesting quests and the combat is pretty enjoyable for a time. I also liked the reputation system and the responsiveness of the world to your actions.. well untill the end.

After around 25 hours in the game, I can say that this is the best work Supergiant Games has put out. It flawlessly achieves what it meant to be maximizing what a game can do in the space of the rougelite genre which is a genre that I don't particularly enjoy. The design is top-notch. The addictive gameplay loop intertwines with the thoughtfully written story in a perfect way. Visuals and sound are also superb. They definitely create an identity for the game. So why 95/100? There could have been more variation regarding enemies. After 20-30 runs they tend to become very repetitive buuut you would be over with the game probably after so many runs so just in time to not feel a drag. And of course, the idea that you can pick it 3 months after and still get pieces of the story and still discover some new trinkets and extra goodies that I won't spoil makes up for this lack of variety. Congratulations to the entire team!

Mysterious, grotesque, alien, frightening, hard... Bloodborne is an incredible action game with lore that made me stay up at night, it made me obsess over Lovecraftian works, and for sure, made me quit 50 times. All that aside after beating the final boss 3 years ago I still think about it, so much so that I wanted to share my thoughts about it years after completing it. Congratulations! and for new players, Good luck on the hunt!

2 years after beating the game I still think about it, I listen to its music on repeat and sometimes can't believe I paid 7 euros for this experience. This is the Metroidvania genre peak in my opinion. Great lore, great design, amazing art, and an incredible vibe. Congratulations!

One of the best games I've played! Every aspect of this game is just fantastic. I played it on a PS4 Pro and I can only imagine playing it on a gaming computer with 60 fps but nonetheless, this piece of art will thrill you from the amazing action to the incredible world. Great story, great art, plenty of content, great gameplay. Congrats!

GRIS7
Aug 8, 2022
Art is subjective, but Gris for me has some of the best visuals in a game, playing it on my phone, it felt like I was scrolling through exquisite paintings. The gameplay on the other hand felt like it was not adding anything. I really think that sometimes it was actually taking me away from the experience.

An exciting journey! After 100 hours spent with the game over the course of 7 months, I am sad that this is over as I was sad when I finished The witcher 3. This game oozes passion from witty writing to mechanics. It was my first CRPG so I can't compare it to the old school stuff, but I don't have to, this is an amazing piece on its own. Gameplay was amazing and there were so many things to do and discover Graphics were good I really enjoyed the writing The sound and music were good, nothing really special On the technical side, even though I had the required specs, the game was running awful at times, but other than that I only had a one-time random crash Larian Studios, hats off!

I was really late to the party with this game but I must say that for 2022 this game is a big nono. Nothing really that fun, bland story, the narrator is cool, but it gets old in 20 mins. I can't say it's bad but def mediocre and it was hard for me to finish it.

Best interactive storytelling I've experienced. I don't know if you could really call it a game but it's definitely an artistic achievement. I would have given it a 10/10 if not for the ending that didn't deliver as expected and for the clunkiness.
