Elite: Dangerous6

It's beautiful, gorgeous even. They thought of everything. But it's unplayable. the controls are simply terrible. Simple flight is no issue. Docking is peanuts. But I have not survived one single fight outside of the tutorial. That's just insane! The ship handles like turd that's trying to turn around in thick honey. It's my go-to game if I want to rage-quit.. it's so beautiful that I want to play it but it's an unplayable game.

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered8
Mar 4, 2020
I played the first game when it came out, later bought it on Xbox360 and played it again. Now bought the remake and playing it again... This is one seriously awesome game. Gameplay is mostly walking around and a lot of QTE's.. The QTE's kinda **** because you can't focus on the action happening while you're focused on what stick to push and I've had my share of fights with the terrible camera. But, the story is so awesome that these issues fade into nothingness, though it does get a little extra weird near the end..

I loved "The Stanley Parable" so I was pretty anxious to try this game. Wow, big mistake.. It's an odd story, and I'm all for odd stories but this story just isn't my thing.. I could have seen it in the trailer. It's just like the trailer shows. You're walking through a load of weird gaming levels with hardly a puzzle to solve.. The narrator tells some deep story but it's not fun at all and it doesn't pull you in or make it believable. The games aren't fun at all since you can hardly call them games.. Then at the end there's some lesson to be learned and that's it. Not worth a replay, not worth keeping, not worth sharing.. Others may love this, (it has a pretty high rating for a reason) but I didn't. Not at all.. It was a boring experience and I only finished it hoping there was some 'wow' at the ending. If you like the trailer, go ahead and buy it. It's a cheap game and maybe this is something for you.. If you didn't like the trailer, don't buy it. It's really not worth your time. It's not getting better and the fact that it's from the writer of "The Stanley Parable" means nothing. I think they just say that because the game wouldn't sell otherwise..

It's an awesome mix of horror and adventure with a twisted and awesome story. I had a lot of fun playing this game and I love how the story unfolded itself and kept me interested from start to finish. Anything more would be a spoiler. ;) Anyway, I highly recommend this game. Would've loved to say more but I don't want to spoil anything.

I hate pixel-art games.. but holy crap, the story of this game is so incredibly awesome.. It's gonna hit you right in the feels. It's not a really long game, and yes it looks like crap but I've played it twice already.. Once as a less legal download and I decided that it was totally worth buying, then played it ****'s the story, the music the ****'s just worth playing if you're into a good story. The DLC is not much though so just skip that..

I loved playing this game.. The real power of Firewatch is in the conversations. I laughed a lot and it just seems so real. I totally dig the black sarcastic humor these 2 people have between eachother. The ending was a bit of a let down in my opinion but the rest of the story was just awesome and without a doubt worth playing. Don't expect some first person action game though.. it's a chill-out game without any real action. I loved it and I sure as hell recommend it. Oh and for anyone who cares, it has built-in Steam-Controller support which plays incredibly well

The Stanley Parable10
Mar 4, 2020
I loved it. I really really loved it. I laughed so hard about some of the narrator's comments. The Stanley parable is short and it's meant to be replayed over and over in different ways. It's cheap, but give the demo a chance too. It's not at all like the game (on purpose. it'll make sense) but it does give you a feeling of the kind of humor you can expect.

As a gamer I do not recommend this game... because it's not much more than a video where you constantly have to click 'next' all the time. There aren't any puzzles or anything. You have to click somewhere to get the next clip and that's mostly it. There are some quicktime-events where you have to click in a spot within a certain time (just one click, that's all) but those are only challenging if you've dozed off.. It's just not really a game. Is the story any good? Well, it's not bad..I did to want to see the end, which isn't hard because it's friggin' short. Overall, I finished it.. did I enjoy it? A bit I guess but not as a game.. I prefer to have watched this as a normal video instead of one where I have to click to make it go further. I sure as hell would not have payed this much for it if I knew this. I should have read the other reviews first.

Mar 4, 2020
I thought it was fun. I little repetitive but still fun. the story does grab you but the ending seems to take a little too long and just isn't really good... Gameplay is fine. A little trouble with the camera and figuring out where to go but nothing to make your bloodpressure rise. Not a lot of variation in the enemies but there's some variation in the gameplay so that kinda makes up for it for a little bit. All and all, I bought and played in on the Xbox and bought and played it again on Steam so I like it enough for that. Voiceacting is sublime I think, and the facial animations are really awesome when you think about when this game was made

Mar 4, 2020
Holy crap, that gameplay! It feels a bit weird at first when you're trying to learn it in the tutorials but soon enough you're blasting yourself through cities and forests cutting up titans.. and what an adrenaline rush it gives! They follow the story of the show pretty well (1st season only) but I do recommend watching the show as well because they cut out a lot of scenes and information out of the game which is a shame to miss . The game does become a bit repetitive after a while, so, buy this on sale. Don't go for the full price. Highly recommended though. I'm still having fun playing it but it does get a bit dull after you finish the story.

Can't say a lot without spoiling anything since it's really short. It's about the last few days before Max moves away with her parents and she hasn't told Cloe yet. It's funny and sad. I loved it. It really completes the story and it is without a doubt worth those few extra bucks.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm - Episode 2: Brave New World9
Mar 4, 2020
A little less great than the first episode but that's usually the case with the middle episode of a trilogy. One really annoying thing of this episode is that the backtalk just didn't make any sense. Everything they explained in the first episode just didn't seem to work in the second one. It's just a lot of guess work now and just hoping you've picked the response that gets you to a success. that seriously ****. I hope they fix that in the final episode. Story-wise it's also really the middle one of a trilogy.. Stuff from the first episode gets built upon and seeds are planted for the final episode. the relationship between Rachel and Cloe is getting stronger and that's cool. I can't wait for the final episode but another part of me is sad that it's gonna be over after that. I would love to experience more with these two. the chemistry between them is so genuine. Also, not as much humor and jokes this time. Still a great episode though (if you don't count the backtalk frustrations) and I enjoyed playing it.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm - Episode 3: Hell is Empty9
Mar 4, 2020
The 3rd episode is awesome again. It's pretty tough to talk about it without spoiling anything so I'll keep it short. I think story-wise, Before the Storm is even beter than the original Life is Strange. If you liked the original game for the story and not just for the time-thingy, then get this game. Emotions are so important and done so well.. From the first episode I already connected more with Cloe and Rachel than I did with Max, and it stayed like that for the entire game. It's simply amazing what Deck9 did here and I thank them for it.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm - Episode 1: Awake10
Mar 4, 2020
I expected this to to be a lot worse than the original "Life is strange". After all, they couldn't pull the time reversal trick in a prequel because it was all new to Max and Cloe back then , so what other trick is there this time? Well there isn't realy one. Cloe can foul-mouth (backtalk) people and win arguments that way but that's not really a big deal. Don't get me wrong, it's fun that it's there but it's not as big a deal as the time thing. Far from it.. So, is it worse? Hell no! I loved it! It really feels familiar. Cloe has an awesome sick sense of humor in a few scenes and I totally love that. Rachel too btw. Next to that the game comes with an awesome story (so far), some well played emotions, great acting, great voice-overs. and so on.. The actor for Cloe is not the same as the one from the original game but you don't even notice that. She's a little different but she's younger here so it actually fits perfectly. It's also built by a completely different studio and you don't even notice that either. Arcadya Bay looks and feels the same as in the original Life is Strange. Get this game. So far, it's really worth it.

The Longest Journey7
Mar 4, 2020
I wanted to play the trilogy in the right order so I started with this one. It's old and the few 3D objects look like crap but that's too be expected for a game this age. The gameplay is a straightforward point & click adventure with a long and pretty good story but nowadays games are more accessible to the not so die hard gamer and help the player a little more. I have become used to that and I no longer have the patience to search every corner of the gameworld to be able to continue the story. So I used a walkthrough. One minor annoyance is that April (main character) doesn't run that fast and there's a lot of running around that you can't skip..

Last Day of June8
Mar 4, 2020
This game seriously needs a way to skip cutscenes you've already seen. I get that they're important but it takes the fun out of the game when you HAVE to rewatch cutscenes you've already seen 5 times. And that's the only downside of the game. I really loved it. The story is deep (warning: might contain onions). Character emotions are genuine, even though they never say an actual word you understand exactly what they mean. the puzzles are fun and I loved the art style.

Unstable like hell.. Skipping a cutscene freezes it. Set the res to 1920x1080 and you can play 1 time. next time you start it, it just crashes. If I have to retry a boss, then I want to skip the preceding cutscene. This goes without thinking. I have had to restart the game 5 times now because "skipping a cutscene = crash". Mar 4, 2020
Love the story, the graphics, the setting.. There are some off things though.. The dialogs don't always match up. If you don't follow the scripted path, the people may expect you to have had a conversation that you did not yet have. You also feel limited in game-play. Some places you can jump as a vampire but on other places, even smaller jumps, you can't. It feels a little off.. you're a big fancy vampire with fancy vampire powers but you can't even jump on a low crate if the game doesn't need you to be up there. It's heavily scripted. I do recommend it though. It's a really cool story and it's being told in a cool way. The game looks good and even though the game-play feels incredibly scripted and limiting at times, it does fit.

Darksiders III7
Mar 4, 2020
well if you expect something like Darksiders 1 and 2 then you're in for a surprise. This is hard. Long, and hard (no pun intended) but it's good. I'll be honest, I cheated. I wanted to know how the story went and it was taking too long for my taste. Grinding through all those enemies was a bit too much for my taste. There's a story mode, but it's still damn hard and it takes so friggin long. It's not that the enemies are too tough. It's the numbers of them that makes it really time consuming. The story is great of course, just like with the first 2 games. Uthane is there again (of course) but not as much as he was in the other 2 games, which is a shame, I liked his character. Compared to 1 and 2 the game-play of 3 is a bit different. there's a setting for darksiders 2 play-style instead of the originally released souls-like playstyle (which basically means dying a lot and taking ages to progress) but it's still a lot harder than the previous games. Also, even though Fury is a lot nicer to look at than Death, it's just not as fun to play as Darksiders 2. I got lost, running in circles a few times and it's really annoying not knowing where the hell else you need to go to get at the next place. And it's looong. I cheated because the story was already so very long. the world is HUGE and then there are all those enemies keeping you from moving forward........ So, I do recommend it. But take heed, if you want to just run through the story, get some god mode patch. it's still a challenge if you do but you can actually follow the story. If you like souls-like difficulty then get to it you little masochist you. I don't 'envy' you..

Oh my god, what a game! I never would have bought this but it came in a Humble Bundle and I'm so glad it did! The game-play isn't all that exciting but wow, this is some serious story telling! I love it! The graphics are a bit getting used to in the beginning but once get used to it it's actually rather beautiful. Some scenes are almost like they're painted by van Gogh and it's actually really beautiful. Voice acting is perfect. you really hear the emotion in the voices and there's more than enough emotion in this game. I didn't expect anything else though, with class A actors doing the 2 main voices. If there's one thing I don't really like about it, it's that the narrator for the German speaks English. Having him speak German with English subtitles would have contributed to the immersion. But that's just nitpicking. It's a wonderful game with a well thought out story in a harsh environment. It is however, not an action game.. don't go in expecting that

I love this game. The storytelling is amazing and the story itself too. the graphical style is fine. not really amazing but not annoying either (thank god, NO pixel-art). It works for the game. Audio is fine. The voice acting is spot on and felt really convincing. The music was fine for the game but I don't need a soundtrack for it. There's one annoying bug with the controller vibration though. My Xbox One controller would just vibrate 80% of the time. Very tiresome for the hands. I found out I could fix that temporarily by just disconnecting and reconnecting the controller (yes, pull out the usb cable. I play wired), or pressing the Xbox button to open the steam menu, and again to close it.

Pretty cool story and a pretty game. It does have some bugs though. I've gotten stuck in the map more than once, being unable to move. The fact that there's no jumping didn't help, that might have saved me. The game-play is nice but you constantly get discouraged by the story to go in guns blazing and that you have to play stealthy. What's the use of sweet awesome guns if you're discouraged to use them. That's a bit weird. The atmosphere of the game is really well done and it's been fun to play. I don't see a lot of replay value for me though.
