My Score: (6) - Fine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The game has a lot of charm and personality, there are some absolutely great ideas at play, but sadly the level design can be a bit jarring and boring. There is absolutely fun to be had, but the game has a lot of wasted potential.

Cyberpunk 20777
Oct 20, 2021
TL;DR Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score - 7.8 (Good) In-Depth Review (Spoiler Free) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visuals - 8/10 Visually speaking Cyberpunk is... well... breathtaking. On PC I haven't come across the same poor optimization as last-gen consoles and honestly, the game runs much smoother than I anticipated. Night City is beautifully crafted. it feels organic and alive, driving around and exploring everything it has to offer is a blast. Something which I rarely do in games is taking screenshots, but Cyberpunk looks so good and has such a great screenshot tool that even I felt compelled to take some photos, if you love screenshots, you will love to do it in this game. Gameplay - 7/10 From a gameplay perspective, I was a tiny bit disappointed by the quite generic FPS and stealth the game offers, the game does try to fix these problems by introducing some mechanics such as hacking and smart guns, but even though they are fresh after some hours the feeling of Far Cry's 3 stealth and shooting starts creeping up on you. The abilities are many to choose from and you could experiment a lot with classes and playstyles, even though I don't think a determined class is necessary to finish the game. I played on the Hard difficulty and didn't decide on a specific class to play as I just chose what abilities made sense to me at the time. Before release, I thought cyberpunk would be a true RPG and I would be able to play as the person I chose to be, but in reality that is far from the case, You play as V the merc, and even though you can choose what V thinks you will never feel as if you are V. The role-playing elements are rather weak in my opinion and I expected more from it based on all the trailers and pre-release info we had. Now let's talk about the dreaded bugs. Yes, the game is VERY buggy, but in my experience never encountered any game braking ones, it does make the game feels unpolished, and that is because the game is very unpolished, I have over 1.000 hours in Skyrim so I can overlook harmless bugs, but if you hate bugs you should probably wait for some patches. Story - 8/10 The game's main storyline I could only consider as good enough. There is nothing mindblowing about it and is interesting enough for you to want to finish it. I liked how Jhonny's character could oppose your thinking depending on the dialog you chose, but I really disliked how when the turning point of the story comes, he just accepts whatever you choose. I just feel like the story could have been so much more, the Cyberpunk genre and theme has so many possibilities to explore and I just feel as if they didn't put enough effort to write something better (Which we know they can since The Witcher 3 has amazing writing). In my opinion, where the game really shines is on side quests and side characters, just as in The Witcher 3, the side quest are an absolute blast, even Gigs which are more like mini-quests can get quite interesting. For me the best side quests are the ones where we get to know better the side characters, they are all great characters and offer hours of fun to the game.

TL;DR Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score - ( 6 ) Fine Friendly advice: There is some fun to be had, but wait for a sale, current price is just too expensive for a game that's just meh. In-Depth Review (Spoiler Free) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visuals - 6/10 The concept of animal character is interesting, but the fact that every armor clips through your character drive me nuts. Sceneries can be quite beautiful, but everything looking closely is quite ugly. Gameplay - 6/10 At the start fighting is quite fun as you unlock more exp and upgrades, but in the long run, it becomes quite repetitive and boring. Everything else is just ok, nothing to really complain about, but also, nothing to write home about. Story - 5/10 The story is disappointing, it is more a set of fetch quests than something truly meaningful. I absolutely love the message about environment preservation, but just like everything about this game, it tries so hard to sound profound and meaningful but it is actually delivered in the most shallow of ways.

Bendy and the Ink Machine6
Oct 20, 2021
TL;DR Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score - ( 6 ) Fine In-Depth Review (Spoiler Free) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visuals - 5/10 - (Average) When it comes to the game's visuals, Bendy and the ink machine can offer your absolutely great character design, but besides that, the game falls flat, pretty much every location of the game is made of wood and has that yellow filter to it, you rarely see a change in locations and everything looking the same can be pretty disorienting and you will probably get lost quite often. The game also doesn't support 21:9 monitors, leaving you with those annoying black bars. Gameplay - 5/10 - (Average) The gameplay is one of the game's biggest sins, the character speed is awfully slow, even when sprinting, which gets really annoying considering that you might get lost quite a bit. I would say that having combat in a horror game might make it less scary, which is true in this case, but besides having combat it is really slow and boring, you just go around bonking enemies until they die. The horror is based on loud noises and cheap jumpscares, at no moment you will feel scared, especially after knowing that you can just bonk whatever is trying to scare you. Story - 6/10 - (Fine) The Story is pretty simple and easy to follow until you get to the end and the game tries to make the ending open-ended. The main character's voice acting is abysmal, but memos and Alice have great voices and easily overshadows the mc. Just don't expect too much from it, the real stars of the game are the character (except the main character). Posted 28 November,

Townscaper7

EARLY ACCESS REVIEW TL;DR Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score - ( 7 ) Good In-Depth Review (Spoiler Free) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since this game is an Early Acess title my review might change over time, this review is more relevant during the build on which the game is being reviewed. And since the game is not yet complete I won't be attributing any scores besides the final one. Visuals - Townscaper is a beautiful and simplistic game, without tweaking any settings the game is already perfect for taking screenshots and that aspect is further improved with the latest build which added new times of the day and different lightings. So if you like the idea of showing your town to others, it is perfect for you. Gameplay - The gameplay is really simple, you will only be using your mouse to play the game. The game is still very simple and early stages, the only thing that you can do is build your town which is not necessarily bad... But I would like to see more features added to the game such as a population or stuff to make your town look more lively. My thoughts - I don't think this game is for everyone, but if you are a creative person and love to build your worlds just like myself, I believe you would be able to get enjoyment out of this game. Furthermore, I would like to thank the creator Oskar Stålberg for giving us this project.

Mafia II8
Oct 20, 2021
TL;DR Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score - ( 8.5 ) Very Good In-Depth Review (Spoiler Free) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visuals - 8/10 - (Very Good) Visually Mafia 2 sometimes can be stunning for a 10-year-old game, Vito's face model is great to this day and everything is really good looking from far away. As with many of the PS3/Xbox 360 era games the real issue lies in the more detailed textures, face textures, and some models often look ugly, but it can easily be overlooked. Mafia 2 holds up very well to this very day. Gameplay - 9/10 - (Great) The game is a soft sandbox, the city is open but there's not much you can do besides driving around, the city carries a lovely ambiance and is very well constructed, it always feels lively. Gunplay is amazing, you have to get used to some of the high recoils, but overall, really fun and engaging. My main criticism would be the driving, even though it makes the cars feel like antiques, in missions where driving is essential, it is a little annoying since most cars feel really heavy and slow. Story - 6/10 - (Fine) Many people say that Mafia 2's story is amazing, don't get me wrong, it is pretty good, but a little on the underdeveloped side, especially the ending. The real stars of the game are the characters, everyone you meet is important and interesting, there are hardly any forgettable characters, and interacting with each one of them is great.

Mafia II: Definitive Edition4
Oct 20, 2021
Mafia 2 is an amazing game, and it doesn't deserve to be treated as a cash grab as it is being treated. The reasons I wouldn't recommend this remaster are: • Mafia 2 does not need a remaster: The game holds itself very well to this day, a remaster was not necessary, sure, it would have been a good thing, if the publisher had not decided to be scummy about it. If you think this is a good remaster, you're wrong, the only thing they did was remaster the textures, but many of the original bugs such as smoke flickering for example are still present, and some bugs which I have never seen on the original game are now also present. • The Scummy strategy which is being applied to the Mafia franchise: The strategy which was applied is an absolute insult, they removed the original mafia 2 to give place to a half-baked remaster which is more expensive than the original game. They should have kept the original Mafia 2 for cheaper and also add the definitive edition to the store as a more expensive version for those interested, instead of shoving this down everybody's throat.

Persona 4 Golden9
Oct 20, 2021
TL;DR Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score - (9) Great In-Depth Review (Spoiler Free) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visuals - 7.5/10 - (Good) Some aspects such as models, animation, and some textures make it quite clear that P4 is a PS2 game originally. But the team at Atlus managed to bring the game into HD quite well by making everything look quite sharp and clean. And considering the game is not demanding at all, playing it in 4k is quite easy and the best way to experience it. Sadly the game doesn't offer support for 21:9 monitors which sometimes can break the quite immersive and absorbing atmosphere of the game. Gameplay - 8.5/10 - (Very Good) The game can be summarized as the fusion of J-RPG and Life Sim. The game has it own calendar which is followed day by day and with certain events set to happen on certain days of the calendar, and when playing in between these predetermined events you can take part in many different activities which consist of working on your own character and leveling up your traits, your relationship with your friends and completing side quests which reward you with items. When it comes to the combat system, the game follows the same way a classic J-RPG's would, with certain twists to make it a bit more unique, such as elements that have their own strengths and weaknesses. The combat only happens in areas which would be this game system of dungeons, and it works as a building with many floors which you traverse to find the stairs to the next level and throughout all levels you can find enemies to battle and items to take. Everything is easy to understand and flows quite well. At times the game can get a bit grindy and annoying in the dungeons so having the option to go out of dungeons and complete activities with your friends is quite welcome and helps balance the flow of the game. Story - 9/10 - (Great) Persona 4 story is a very good one, full of twists and turns, might not be the most original one but is very well told and keep the player interested throughout the game. The main story aside, the other narrative that makes persona 4 great are the characters you interact with on your journey which are called "social links", there are 22 in total, and participating in them will let you know more about the characters and form bonds with those people. The only complaint to make about the story is not having a menu with info about all the characters you meet and are involved with the main quest, since you meet so many people in the game, names start to feel hazy and forgotten by the end of the story.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition7
Oct 20, 2021
TL;DR Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score - (7.5) Good In-Depth Review (Spoiler Free) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visuals - 8/10 - (Very Good) The game is quite beautiful and unique, hardly leaving anything for desires. Even though it is a small world, the areas are quite different from each other giving you a feeling of freshness. The game becomes even more beautiful and fresh when you unlock the ability to change between dimensions and you can experience everything from a new perspective. Since the game doesn't support 21:9 the black bars can become quite distracting and pull you out of the game's immersion. Gameplay - 8/10 - (Very Good) Guacamelee! has some mechanics which are not new to the genre but are executed quite well by mixing your combat abilities with the platformer sections and puzzle-solving. When it comes to combat the game is quite responsive and smooth, feeling really good to control and hardly ever getting in your way when attempting a combo or string of attacks. The platforming is well responsive and challenging and is one of the game's strongest assets, completing the platforming areas fell quite rewarding and fun. All the enemies follow certain patterns of attack and becoming accustomed to them is a must, bosses have unique and fun patterns to master, that makes you feel quite rewarded for defeating them. Story - 6/10 - (Fine) The story is quite simple and the classic damsel in distress trope. The girl who is Juan's love interest gets kidnapped by a group of villains and the hero has to save her by defeating the evil bunch. It is simple, but Cohesive and cute enough to serve as a background to the game.

Detention8
Oct 20, 2021
TL;DR Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Score - (8.5) Very Good In-Depth Review (Spoiler Free) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visuals - 8/10 - (Very Good) The game is quite atmospheric, beautiful, and consistent in its dark and creepy thematic. It manages to keep you immersed in the game at all times. The animations fit the art style quite well and in my experience don't leave a lot to be desired. Gameplay - 8/10 - (Very Good) Gameplay-wise, it is a fairly simple point-click game, the only thing you need to play is your mouse since the only use for the keyboard is to access the menu during gameplay by pressing Esc. Although simple, it works very well. Story - 9/10 - (Great) Detention, although short, is a beautiful work of art, which managed to go from supernatural horror to a beautiful well-crafted story which made me feel sad and sympathy for the characters and almost tear up a bit in the ending. Speaking of which (The good ending) hit me like a kick in the guts. To see a story I was not expecting unfold beautifully right before my eyes gave me a feeling I haven`t felt for a long time in video games, that being of a happy surprise.
