In the gaming industry today, the multiplayer looter genre is by no means niche. But even with all the money thrown into these projects, most end up being mediocre due to unrealistic scope. Deep Rock Galactic by Ghost Ship Games manages to break the mold by creating a memorable experience in atmosphere, gameplay and cooperation. There are some limitations throughout, namely when it comes to story and graphics, but I never found these to hurt the immersion. The gameplay is addictively deep, while procedural generation and extensive loot keep me coming back for more. If you and your friends are fans of the multiplayer looter genre, or just love dwarves and space mining, you need not look any further than Deep Rock Galactic for your next gaming adventure.

Finally, a non-traditional co-op multiplayer game with very intense atmosphere. Original, dark and bearded, it is Deep Rock Galactic. No need to dig deeper. [Issue#304]

It's one of the most addicting and charming fps games I've ever played. DRG is lowk peak

Still the best co-op multiplayer on the market, followed closely by Left For Dead 2. I have played this game over 200 hours and I am still feeling rewarded and encouraged to discover new forms of gameplay. The 4 classes are distinct and have their own charm. The mission variety is massive and the randomly generated maps are beautiful and keep the game refreshing. Even towards the end game, once all characters and weapons are unlocked, the game introduces weapon Overclocks which sometimes completely change the way a weapon is used. I am always on the hunt for that next Overclock which will allow me to make another fun build for a specific class.

Best PVE shooter I’ve ever played, it’s not even close. ROCK AND STONE! In seriousness, this game is amazing and worth every penny.

Deep Rock Galactic is the best kind of four-player co-op game. Exciting combat, great missions, and lots of upgrades make this one a winner.

Although the game degenerates into quite a grind after the completion of the first series of missions, the procedurally generated worlds and the friendly community provide enough variety for long enough.

Deep Rock Galactic feels like a crossover between Left 4 Dead and Minecraft… and it’s great. If you’re looking for something new but familiar at the same time to play with friends, this can be your game.

Ooh, aah, that’s how it always starts, then later there’s running and screaming. Deep Rock Galactic can be deceptively easy going at times, right up until the swarms of bugs come crawling out of the inky darkness to besiege you and your friends. Who knew space dwarf mining could be so fun?

Deep Rock Galactic offers some enticing exploration, as discovering randomly generated caves can be a thrill each time, and the unique abilities of each class are fun to combine. But things quickly begin to grow stale, like the air this far down into the earth, with repetitive missions and little reason to grind out your experience levels.

THE best co-op PvE extraction shooter out there.
I said to myself "now I will write a decent review". But I'm sitting for like 30 seconds thinking where do I event start?
DRG is so essential, so elementally fun, so pure, so smooth... Barely few months after hitting early access, Deep Rock Galactic became a part of pop culture, forever

characters progression moves like my grandma, But to be fair, the content is fun enough to keep going

An interesting extraction game which is definitely meant to be played with friends. Even just playing 2 player co-op was a good time. Upgrading your character feels alright, definitely better and a lot more fun then some other games of the same ilk. You can really sink your teeth into a game like this and make is your go to game night after night, but personally I did not feel that pull.

lets start from the beginning... you have 4 characters, each with very similar dialogues that it doesnt even make sense trying to connect with them. each having a unique ability that helps your team. here lies the problem, these abilities dont make you feel special. they are almost bug fixes disguised as features, for instance, the cave is too dark? u got a scout to light it up, the terrain **** a s s? you got the engineer to make platforms, too much digging? well you got the driller. there is definitely a theme here, rather than smoothing out these annoying things, they instead give you tools to deal with them. that is not what abilities are, abilities or tools should make you feel special, not fix a problem with the terrain, it should make you feel like you added something to the team, not be a portable bug fix. the shooting feels very awkward, it feels like each bullet has a set recoil amount. so the gun feels like its just jumping in your hand instead of it being smooth but unpredictable. the enemy variety is a lot on paper, but what is the point of variety when the enemies are just spiders or some sort of recreation of a spider. i never felt like i died because of a mistake i did. everytime i get downed, its always because of something stupid that i couldnt avoid. getting grabbed by a monster should be funny and engaging, but here its just a chore you have to wait through. this game is a horde shooter with nothing that makes it feel like a horde shooter. the idea of a lot of content isnt enough when that content is scarce.

The game is really kinda slow at the start. Trust me it gets fantastically chaotic! The best coop shooter since Left 4 Dead!
Summary Deep Rock Galactic is a 1-4 player co-op FPS featuring badass space Dwarves, 100% destructible environments, procedurally-generated caves, and endless hordes of alien monsters.
