Yet another masterclass in game design by Arkane. Absolute banger. Too bad some manchildren are reviewbombing it.

Deus Ex: The Fall4

PC port has a very unresponsive UI. Story is ehhhhh. Some NPC models are comically bad. It truly lives up to Invisible War with constant level loading.

Attention to detail in levels is jaw dropping. A worthy sequel to Human Revolution. Unfortunately, third person shenanigans are in this game too because Human Revolution was universally acclaimed. Let's hope Square Enix greenlights a continuation of this story.

Extremely fun game that apparently got reviewbombed for political reasons. You won't regret buying this, especially when it's on sale.

Cyberpunk 20776

The game looks impressive on high end systems. Scripted main story missions are fun to play. Other than these two, almost everything is disappointing. The open world isn't interactable or immersive as advertised. When you interact with a food vendor, they tell you to piss off for some reason. The NPCs have one of the most barebones AI I have ever seen, it's extremely hard to ignore. You can escape from police literally only by driving or running away. Side quests are incredibly shallow with almost nonexistent backstory, I'm appalled that this game is made by the same people who made The Witcher 3. Character creator is lacking and I was shocked when I realized I can't even change my hair color after starting the game. In short, if you want to enjoy this game just ignore the open world and NPCs and stick with the main story, maybe some side quests. This game is hundreds of kilometers wide but barely a centimeter deep, it's just saddening to see the game we've been waiting for nearly a decade in this state.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut8
Oct 14, 2020
Almost a perfect Deus Ex game, hindered heavily by third person cover system and takedowns. The plot isn't as deep as the original game. Director's Cut version fixes a lot of stuff (like the insufferable yellow filter and nonsensical boss fights) but also introduces some issues in lighting. Must play.

Playing this feels like dragging a dead horse in a desert. Everything about this -aside from its atmosphere- is lackluster. It's just a shallow game and definitely not an immersive sim.

Good story with an extremely repetitive gameplay. I'm glad this was a stepping stone for the masterpiece that is Control.

Feels like a rushed project. Atmosphere is ruined, it's not faithful to the original at all.

Halo 2: Anniversary10

I experienced Halo 2 for the first time in this version, and man, they blew it out of the park. Thanks to being able to switch between the original and remastered versions seamlessly, I could appreciate how faithfully they recreated everything, unlike Halo CE Anniversary. Halo 2, itself, has the best single-player campaign I have ever played in my life.

Control is a technical achievement as well as being a love letter to the oldschool games that don't hold your hand. The setting and gameplay mix perfectly to create an experience you will not forget.

What's good of a PC game that doesn't let you turn off auto-aim? It also has sound glitches in the pause menu. Hard pass.

Watch Dogs 27

Has a rich and active world, but ironically NPCs have only a handful of facial variation. Some mechanics aren't as polished as in GTA V, but the fullness of the world and hacking stuff makes up for it.

I'm writing this review near the 20th annivesary of Deus Ex, and it stills holds the crown of being the best PC game ever made. No game before or after it were able to make non-combat gameplay this fun, and had a plot this deep. Must play.
