The Fall has its flaws, but is definitely an impressive title to a format that keeps surprising us.

The game sort of falls apart in combat. [Oct 2013, p.78]

The best looking game on mobiles? It's up there. But dodgy shooting controls let it down. [Oct 2013, p.78]

This is actually a decent game, but it’s very short. It also ends on a cliff hanger that will never be resolved. Just be aware it’s a 2012ish mobile game port. So it looks very rough

As long as you keep your expectations is check then you’re in for a fun enough game. The game released on Android and IOS back in 2013 for chipsets that are now significantly less powerful than your average £40 Amazon kindle. It was for a time where Plants Vs Zombies and Fruit Ninja were considered a breakout mobile hit, micro transactions weren’t commonplace and no one knew how to make mobile games. This was Square Enix’s attempt to create a full-blown console game for phones. If you keep that in mind it’s quite impressive what they managed to do. You had a full Deus EX style world map. The game plays like a Deus EX game. You have several options to how you can respond to the changes in front of you. You can talk it out, fight it out, stealth it out or hack it out. There are side quests in the game and you have about 5-6 hour’s worth of content. For what it was intended to be, it's a pretty good game.

I held off on this game for years due to poor user reviews, but was pleasantly surprised at the level of quality found in this game. Sure, it's a mobile port brought to PC, but the story is solid and the gameplay nearly as good as DX:Human Revolution. I highly recommend this for any fan of the new Deus Ex reboots.

Even with these problems, Deus Ex: The Fall sets a precedent for first-person shooters on mobile. The touch controls are the best among mobile shooters, and the story does a great job complementing them.

It's a good game for a portable, now you can take your favorite Deus Ex with you, wherever you go, that's amazing. Unfortunately, the plot is really short, but you can start it one more time with the new way of completing.

This game is just amazing, best title I've bought all year for my device. The depth of gameplay is stunning, I love how you can choose to explore anywhere in Panama and that levels have multiple entry points and paths, can't wait for more of this.

An ambitious, flawed, but ultimately entertaining FPS, Deus Ex: The Fall is well worth a look.

Deus Ex: The Fall works far better with touch controls than one would think, and it offers up a lighter, if a little bare-bones Human Revolution experience. In many ways though this experiment feels like a waste, as it would really be stronger as either a PlayStation Vita game or even a downloadable console title.

Deus Ex: The Fall is a short but sweet spin-off for fans of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, just make sure you double check your iOS device's firmware and hardware before downloading.

The poor A.I. and hit point balancing make Deus Ex: The Fall a poor shooter in my mind.

You don't have to be very good at reading between the lines to see that Deus Ex fans are simply angry that this is a mobile game instead of console. I see The Fall as preserved 99% of the console game feel, and it seems like a worthy successor to HR in really every way I could ask for. But whaddaya gonna do? Haters gonna hate.

Kept in perspective of it being a mobile game, it's shortcomings are understandable. Regardless, while the plot and characters aren't anything to write home about and the touch controls can be awkward (probably because of it's touch nature though), it still managed to distill the much of the core Deus Ex experience into one that fits onto a mobile device. And they even threw in the gold-heavy color scheme. It's an enjoyable Deus Ex experience on-the-go and ends far too soon.

Oh how the deus ex has fallen. I can't believe they did this to my beloved franchise after the only other two games they made were so good. I must say at least it works for me unlike some other people, but working is subjective as it's almost completely unplayable due to horrible controls.

There is no point. Just buy Icarus Effect book instead. You get better graphics, frame rate and voice acting in your head from reading the book compared to playing this tragedy.
