Technologically the game is extremely impressive, with visual fidelity still amongst the very best on the market (arguably the best looking game to date) and all the lighting and especially physics effects are unlike anything you can see in any other game. Playing the game maxed out on 38" 3840x1600 ultrawide, it looks as impressive as it gets today. Though a high action lineal construction of the game doesn't really push player to exploring so the fidelity may not be entirely appreciated during first playtrough, it was only after finishing the game when I was jumping between different parts of the game making screenshots with free camera that I appreciated it fully. It has its weak points in visuals of course, for example a default very blurry look that requires very aggressive compensation through sharpening, much more than any other game I've played. Experimental blending of game and TV series also ended up working pretty nice, story is overall very good though not exactly even, there are some great moments and there are some where it starts to feel like some of these generic catastrophic movies. Though for vast majority of time the narrative is of high quality, especially all the notes you find along the way are very impressive, well written and extremely detailed, these are not just some fillers, they are like 1/3rd of the game, an integral part, brining a lot of intellectual and emotional value to the game. Combat makes a good use of all of the time breaking physics and is generally smooth and engaging. Problems start when we start to consider technical state of the game. By default game suffers from a lot of technical issues, like massive frame pacing issues and random locking to 30 FPS, all of which require very advanced knowledge from the user to get rid of, knowledge that 99% of users don't have and game is notoriously abandoned for that reason, as the game appears completely broken, and rightfully so, because in default state the game is simply unplayable. Along with that there are other issues, like ridiculous pre-rendered 30 FPS fixed aspect ratio cutscenes, that developer says are for the sake of consistency, but what consistency I'd like to ask, if cutscene resolution doesn't much gameplay resolution, cutscene framerate does not match gameplay framerate (60 FPS being minimum standard on PC) and if aspect ratio may not match gameplay aspect ratio. Thats the exact opposite of consistency. Even real time rendered cutscenes are doing that, suddenly locking to 30 FPS, and many times failing to go back to 60 once you are back to gameplay. Oh, and there are also some that don't lock to 30 FPS, and also some that don't lock to 16:9. There are like 5 types of cutscenes in the game. Consistency... Thats not the end of course, I cannot avoid mentioning Upscale option from graphics settings, which makes the game render at half the resolution, but blatantly lies that this does not affect picture quality and this is a recommended setting. And the best of all, enforced MSAAx4 anti-alising that you cannot turn off (in game setting is for TAA), which is most likely the reason why the game is so demanding. First they enforce MSAAx4, and they tell you to upscale. And apparently they couldn't fit a good Anisotropic Filtering in all this, because you have to use your own through graphics control panel, lowering game's performance by another few percent, like if it wasn't hard enough to run already. Consistency... Add to that releasing 3 years ago, when no hardware could run this kind of game at any reasonable resolution, exclusively on UWP and with horrible DX12 implementation (what I was saying before is for DX11 Steam version, DX12 one is even beyond describing) and you can get ready for inevitable disaster. So there are two technical sides of this game, from one side the game is very impressive and it is some of the biggest technological achievements in gaming to date, even being 3-year old game (it was far ahead of its time, remember that Pascal GPUs weren't released yet, so it had to run on 2014 GPUs), so people who created it deserve huge respect and credit, but people who were responsible for setting up and releasing this game up for PC should really find a different job, because they've hurt this game's perception infinitely and beyond repair. Even if you consider the requirements of the game justified by what it represents, which for me is true, there are still tons of additional, completely unnecessary issues. This should have been done much, much better. It should have been a signature game, and it is from technological standpoint, but the unreal amount of incompetence in releasing this game outweighed all the innovation and ambition that was put into it. 8/10 may sound high after all I've wrote, but as an enthusiast I really appreciate pushing the boundaries, which Quantum Break certainly does, and I have enough hardware and experience to mitigate the issues and bring the game to playable state.

Grim Dawn

Feb 27, 2019
Already a classic in the genre. Grim Dawn is considered among the very best games of this type, and rightfully so. It builds upon it's Titan Quest foundations and improves upon almost every aspect. The setting is done beautifully, soundtrack is great, gameplay is addictive and all the mechanics are well thought and rewarding. This is one of the very few games that can keep you playing even after finishing main story, which by itself is very good as well, though manages to have unsatisfying endings for both base game (especially) and expansion, but Ashes of Malmouth finally finishes the story properly instead if cutting it suddenly without any real ending like the base game does. There is a lot of secondary content to find along the way and a lot to read, artistically the game is very good. It was great when playing with second person through LAN. There are two very significant flaws though. One is that if you play in multiplayer like I did in LAN, due to dialogue system that gives you a choice that has consequences, only one player can talk with an NPC at a time, but choices and accepting/delivering quests applies to all characters in group. So essentially you have to read dialogues to other person, because both players cannot display them at the same time, and once quest is accepted the dialogue is gone. Another big flaw of the game is the ancient engine that is completely singlethreaded, meaning that even if you have high-end overclocked CPU, you are still going to suffer from massive performance issues during more intensive and dense scenes because game simply cannot utilize your resources. This is understandable for old games like Titan Quest, but Grim Dawn has 2016 release date. Though on the other hand, all games of this type are having exactly the same issue, just like all MMOs for example, with Diablo 3 being the only exception. Game itself is a 9, it does exactly what a game of this genre is supposed/expected to do and combining that with some considerable artistic/narrative qualities, but aforementioned issues are too extreme to ignore.

Firewatch certainly stands out among other games of this type. Thanks to great voice acting and interactive dialogues it manages to be more engaging, which combined with interesting story and great artstyle makes a very good and unique game. And what's maybe most interesting, this artstyle didn't prevent the game from resembling the feel of wilderness and creating believable environment, at times it is so believable that I could almost feel the smell of cold foggy morning when dispatching from the tower. Even though the game didn't make as much impression the second time as it did with the first, it is still a great game, especially the first time.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War

As for today the game is very good. Madly playable and addictive gameplay just as Shadow of Mordor, story is much better than you would expect and has quite a lot of depth. Even though lore accuracy is like none and game is not fully "serious" and mixes up tragedy and comedy all the time, there is a method in this madness and overall package is a success I didn't really expect when starting the game. Sieges and building your army was also not as ridiculous at it seemed at first. Infamous Act 4 has now only 5 fortress defenses instead of 20 from the original release, so you don't have to grind anything and resources you gather throughout the game are more than enough to complete these 5 defenses and it doesn't take long, and total of 35 hours for the entire game with around 90% overall completion and 100% with both story expansions, which were also enjoyable and better than SoM's expansions. On technical side of things the only real issue are these dreaded pre-rendered cutscenes that not only look like a joke even with 4K cutscene pack installed (which along with HD texture pack makes the game take 151 GB (!!!) of space and cutscenes still look 720p with no AA and tons of color banding) but also obviously don't scale with aspect ratio, so they degrade the overall experience noticeably. Game is also not demanding for most of the time, to the point that I used supersampling with dynamic resolution because this is how much headroom I had even on max settings. Overall the game is unconventional but has a strong idea for itself and generally succeeds, though this is definitely not what you would expect as Middle-earth fan and I still don't understand why we don't have any full fledged game in this universum, something like LOTRO but modern. As good as SoW and especially SoM are as games, they are not even 1/20th of what a true full fledged Middle-earth adaptation should be.

Mesmerizing game with beautiful artstyle, great soundtrack, emotional story and great level design, the only thing it lacks is combat and high difficulty, which is intentional and game is engaging even without these core aspects of gameplay. It is very refreshing to play a game of this kind from time to time. I'd like more of such games coming out. GRIS is a bit of an exception because it got popular quickly and you didn't really need to look for it, but usually you really have to look hard for such games, they are like hidden gems.

I was really amazed and totally addicted for the first 40-50 hours, playing for whole days and never getting bored. Visual fidelity, world design, magical setting, great main character, mechanics and combat are significantly improved over previous games (and tweakable with Animus Control Panel), post-assassination cutscenes are the best in the series, questing and story feels well thought and diversified. This is how I felt about the game for a long time, more than half of total playthrough. As far as open world story driven 3rd person RPGs go, this felt evey bit as good as the greatest games of the genre and gave the same amazement that Witcher 3 or NieR Automata did. Unfortunately it didn't last till the end of the game as from some point the story got a massive decrease in quality to the point of total ridiculousness, very repeatable landscape and extremely monotonic soundtrack of literally just 3 or 4 tracks for the entire game caused a natural weariness from seeing and hearing exactly the same thing for 50+ hours, game was also no longer trying to diversify anything and felt extremely repetitive and generic. So in the end I was forcing myself to finish the game. Then I hoped for something refreshing with two main DLCs, but to no avail and I was forcing through them too. Unbelievable how much of a rollercoaster this game was. It held a great promise at the beginning and really felt amazing for well over a half of playthrough, but managed to ruin it completely. There is simply a point at which game falls on its face completely and degrades drastically compared to earlier parts, leaving this great promise unfulfilled, destroyed even. This seems to be the case with the entire AC series, which is also a great concept that holds a great promise, but it is never fulfiled. Still, I had amazing time with it for the most part, but it is just so underdeveloped and unsatisfying in the later parts that it leaves you with disappointment and a lot to be desired, especially after how promising the game feels at the beginning.

Very good game in the series, much more than I expected. Story and general atmosphere takes a much lighter and less serious approach, which at first may seem like a bad thing, but it isn't. Game has a very strong and defined idea for itself and remains true and consistent over the course of it's entire length. The opposite to many other games in the series, which are trying to be epic but ultimately fail to be and eventually get lost in chaos, inconsistency and underdevelopment. Not the case with Syndicate and it is one of the few games in the series that avoided drastic flaws, at least in animus story and gameplay, because modern day story is like none, again, and apparently never coming back, as developers clearly don't have any idea what to do about it and are placing some poor quailty placeholders ever since Desmond story ended in AC3. Another issue is with graphics and performance, game received a hefty visual downgrade compared to Unity and is not any easier to run. Maxing it out at 3440x1440 requires 2080ti or 1080 SLI to barely maintain 60 FPS, and even then there are major issues with aliasing that is not effectively removed even by MSAA or TXAA and overall quailty/density is notably downgraded compared to Unity.

Game is doing exactly what you would expect. It looks good, sounds good, plays good and has a decent story. There aren't any particular strenghts or weaknesses about the game, it is very solid overall. The biggest problem is probably that the game is not doing a good job of communicating with the player at the beginning. For example there are some mechanics that are making the game a lot easier, but you won't be aware if them unless you accidentaly discover them somewhere along the way so for example watching some basic beginner guide on youtube is a good way to mitigate unecessary flustrations caused not by game's level of diffiulty but it's inability to make player aware of basic mechanics.

In 10 years of playing games I have never seen a game that would be so impactful. It's been over a week since I finished the game and I still think about it, I still feel intense emotions everytime I think about it, I still hear soundtrack ringing in my head. This essentially makes me unable to play the next game or watch the next movie, because I still think about Nier and wouldn't be able to give full attention to the next content piece. The existence oriented theme of the game and story combined with the direct and pure form in which machines are expressing their feelings and self awareness developed progressively throughout the game is so emotionally striking that is triggers the deepest and most genuine emotions and thoughts, it is like watching a life developing from anew, like watching the child grow. And if this wasn't enough, everything gets intensified even further with wondrous soundtrack, the best one I have heard to date. I've never forgiven technical issues so easily...

The audio-visual package of this expansion is just unreal. Toussaint is looking ridiculously beautiful, there is just nothing on the market that looks this good, and I have played all the best looking games on high-end PC and display, maxed out. Nothing made such impression on me. Impression that continues throughout all playthrough and even after, thats the only time when I continued playing after finishing the game and then I spent few hours just sightseeing and making screenshots. Sountrack is also some of the best I have ever heard, but this was a strong point of TW3 from the beginning, but Blood and Wine is taking it to even higher level. Story is also very good, with many choices and many different outcomes and endings, as always in The Witcher 3, characters are great. I really didn't want to stop playing after finishing this expansion. This is the first time I am giving something 10/10 score. I'm just blown away by Blood and Wine.

It has a pretty bad start but everything that happens later is great. I didn't expect this kind of package from small 10 hour expansion. It carries all the advantages of main game, especially strong story with hard and impactful choices, both more intensive than in main game, some choices are really hard and emotional. HoS also improves upon some things, with the biggest difference in combat, especially boss fights that are now much more challenging and exciting than in a base game. It also adds a bit more variety to gameplay. Very good, this is something you think about days or even weeks after finishing the game.

The scale and complexity of the game, soundtrack, visuals, storyline with so many choices that have serious impact on the world and story, and support for basically anything... This is the pinnacle of enthusiast gaming, the only game that delivers so well on major fronts and gives so much freedom to customize the rest at the same time. All major points that you cannot tweak like the story or world construction are greatly developed, providing great baseline, and the rest is up to you with support for basically anything, modding, .ini tweaking, different resolutions and configurations, anything you want. If there is anything about the game you don't like, and there are certainly some major flaws like very poor default alchemy system, you just customize it. If you want to push it to the limits with visuals, you can do it. All of this support and tweakability makes half of the game, this is the very reason why this game stands out so much. This is how you develop AAA game, this is the reference. Unfortunately the industry has gone completely opposite way since TW3 success and focused on developing microtransactions and DRMs instead.

Very uneven game. From one side, visual fidelity, texture quality, lighting, character models and especially complexity and density of the world are very impressive. Even now, 3 years later, the game is still among the very best in this regard. The setting is done beautifully. Requirements as of today with all the initial issues sorted out are adequate to what game represents and it is performing in a way typical for more advanced AAA games, unless you really have no clue what you are doing and you are choosing settings inadequate to your hardware. Some glitches still remain though and they may occasionally happen. As for game mechanics, they are significantly improved from previous parts. The range of movements is much bigger and Arno moves and performs much better and more naturally than predecessors. Stealth game is finally taken care of too. Combat is more realistic, slower paced and much more challenging than before, as well as stealth, there are also a lot of narrow interiors filled with enemies, so difficulty level has grown significantly from previous games. Character and equipment customization is also significantly better. So those are all good things. Unfortunately the story and how it is presented is the worst in the series. The story is not flowing, characters on both sides are insignificant, especially Assassins are the most boring and colorless in the series, complete lack of spirit, enemies are also not well shown and do not bring any emotions, you just don't feel any significance and threat from them, the game completely lacks the buildup for enemies, they are dead 1 minute after you discover them. The entire story lacks the definition. Even usually powerful things like death of people close to main character or his internal struggle do not make much impression, even on someone sensitive for such aspects. The entire revolution is also completely missing in the story, if not the chaos and disorder on the streets you would have hard time noticing any revolution at all. This is not what I expected from the game with such a great setting, potential was great but it was completely wasted. Still worth playing, because like I said in terms of visual fidelity and especially world's complexity and density this is the best of the best, mechanics are also good and challenging, character and equipment customization is there, this is all good and in this regard it has a lot of feel from previous games and even improves on that, but there is nothing behind it, the game is just not functionating as a whole.

From artistic standpoint the game is a masterpiece. It makes a huge impression. The setting, story, cutscenes, sound, art design... Very impressive. Graphics quality is almost on point, texture quality is a bit lacking at times and some postprocessing effects tend to be overdone, but on the other hand, how this game looks and what it does in some moments and areas... unlike anything I have seen in years of playing games. It has a bit of a bad start, but after first boss the game is getting really good. Gameplay is very diversified, there are lot of aspects, logical, action, combat, even some thriller/horror parts. It is also fully independent, DRM free, half of price of "AAA" games that aren't even playable in first months and are usually "synthetic" and have no emotional or intellectual value. I consider this game a huge success. Hate and rants from reasonless or soulless people are even making it more so. Not even mentioning people who don't understand that there different genres of games. I wasn't even aware of this game and it came out of nowhere for me, and I am SO glad that it did.

Very high quality realistic graphics combined with demanding movement system that is keeping you engaged all the time recreates the situation of being left alone in space perfectly and is so believable that many things, like for example death, are making much bigger impression than they normally do in games and movies. Story may not be the best and you are thrown in the middle of action from the beginning **** and it may be a bit confusing, but game gets better and better along with progress. Very believable and impressive game. Score of 9 may be a bit high, but 8 feels a bit low for a game that managed things mentioned above, very few games can do that. 8 is my score for games that had great potential and generally were very hood but had too many flaws to be great. Not much more to wish from small game of this kind. Certainly not a mainstream game for soulless materialists, hence why conflicting scores, but it has very good scores on steam and sold 200,000 copies, so glad to see such small lovely games being successful. Beautiful and "light" game to play when you don't look for anything too serious. Visually the game is looking beautiful, soundtrack is very nice, voice acting is good, the concept of changing seasons to change environment works very well, puzzles are okay, but the game is lacking in some aspects. A bit lackluster story and lack of any dangers, the worst that can happen to you is getting stuck with puzzles, this is the only challenge in game. I can understand for example lack of combat, it wouldn't fit to this game, but complete lack of difficulty doesn't have positive affect on the game, it is just not engaging this way, especially when story is also not something that could sink you into the game. I think you could say that Seasons After Fall is half of the game. Good and pretty half but overall certainly not a level of top of the line titles of this genre, like Ori and The Blind Forest.

Great game. Interesting, engaging, flowing. Visually it is making fun of the newest titles, looking better than most of them while being 4 years old and requiring one third of power. Picture quality with SSAA is as good as it can be. Setting is believable and immersive, something that Rise of the Tomb Raider didn't fully manage to achieve. Some animations are not on the top level but this is a minor issue. The game certainly is linear but it is a positive here, linear story driven game with world adjusted to it gives much better and consistent experience than open world full of inconsistent nonsense. Game driven by intensive story has to be linear, otherwise it becomes inconsistent and not believable. It will take more time until you can replay the game, but this is the only major disadvantage of this kind of design. The only major thing missing are decisions to make that would have affect the world or what happens to some characters, but that's all, this is 3rd person action/adventure story driven game done right.

A have very mixed feelings about this game. The story is good and interesting, seeing the world from Templar perspective shows that everything is not so black and white added some depth to the series that usually tended to be completely one sided. But unfortunately the main moments in game lack significance, the bond with Assassins is not made strong enough in the first part **** and assassinating them later does not bring any strong emotions. That's one of the main issues with the game, all previous parts were causing strong emotions in main moments, this one doesn't. All of this betrayal is not used well enough, it should feel much more intensive than it does. Fights with Assassins are not very well done either, most of them are just running around and repeating the same sentence over and over. Something like that may be acceptable in some MMO game, but certainly not in AAA single player one. All the other enemies you fight are also closer to be comical than serious. Visually and technically the game is also a huge downgrade from Black Flag, textures are poor, LOD is extremely low, soundtrack is not in sync with what is going on. World doesn't seem to be too interesting either, Black Flag made me want to explore and discover and it was taking me ages to go from point A to point B because this is how much I got into side activities on the way, Rogue doesn't make me want to do anything other than following the main story. Abstergo story is extremely dull and annoying, another point of downgrade from Black Flag where it wasn't bad. Overall the game is good and has its moments, but taken as a whole this is a huge downgrade from Black Flag, the game feel insignificant despite the intensive happenings in the story, it does not bring any emotions, setting and the world is not that interesting, game just feels average, especially after Black Flag, maybe it would be more appealing if it was released before BF so it wouldn't feel like a downgrade from previous part. It would get an 8 if it was more polished and better looking, but how everything is downgraded from previous part is just too visible.

Quite a break off from first four games. It receives a lot of hate apparently because it is not about Ezio, but this is definitely not a bad game. This is a good game but not much of Asssassin's Creed game, hence why so much disappointment from fans I think. The general setting is very good, story is interesting, main characters are strong, graphics is on entirely new level, kind of entry level to modern design, soundtrack is good. And what I really liked is that finally I got some reasonable amount of Desmond story, not just some shades and few minutes per game, now it was some meaningful amount, finally. The only thing that makes this game belong to AC series to be honest, if not this I wouldn't understand why did it get AC name, aside from Desmond story there is very little from Assassin's Creed in this game. It also lacks a bit of consistency, jumps from place to place, not giving you too much of a control. Cities are also quite small and insignificant, the game has lost a lot of a open world feel from previous parts. Anyway, a good game as a standalone creation, but not a very strong position in the series.

A bit underrated game. It lacks some mechanics, but in terms of a story and the setting this is the most consistent and well thought AC game next to Black Flag. And the only one where you actually need to prepare and gather the information about your target and assassinations are much harder to perform due to limited mechanics and tools (no air assassinations and etc). The only AC game with some considerable difficulty. On the bad side the game is very repetitive. The story is intensive at the beginning and at the end while the middle of the game is very repetitive. But all the assassinations in the meanwhile are engaging and some scenes are really well made, but again, this is all very repetitive, coming back to the same cities and etc. One thing that annoyed me a lot are those few missions where you fight like 15 enemies at once, thats you nonsense that takes you out of the game and breaks immersion. Visual fidelity is surprisingly good for 10 year old game, it has its charm and a believable world, music is very good too. This game has some serious strengths and is the best out of the series in many regards, but it has some quite meaningful flaws as well. I gave it a 7 at first, but I appreciated it more with time and after playing more games from the series.

Impressive. I wasn't expecting much from this game and I approached it with conviction that I am only playing this because of visuals, but it actually was quite engaging. Visually the game is absolutely amazing, scenery is great, lighting is superb and character design and quality is just unbelievable at times. One drawback to visual quality is that there is a lot of aliasing and no sensible way to remove it, also distant landscape is sometimes not that good. Gameplay wise the game is good for the most part. It is a mix of everything - exploring, puzzles, action, arcade elements, combat, stealth, gathering materials. Especially those action-arcade elements when you are escaping from somewhere can be epic. Unfortunately devs tried to make the game too flashy, some crazy jumps or fighting 20 enemies at once is not really doing anything good for this game, it is only making it look cheap. Generally a good game with very impressive visuals, all the gameplay mechanics are also very good and well thought, but some things like those mentioned above are just ridiculous. Could be better with some adjustments, but game remains engaging and impressive for the most part and has many strong points, I would give it 8.5 if there was an option, but since there is no, very solid 8.

Kind of a mixed bag because main story is very good but other investigations are kind of average, overly long, too much puzzles (thankfully all of them can be skipped just in case something annoys you too much), not as interesting as Crimes and Punishments. Graphically there is no upgrade from previous, maybe even a downgrade, performance is also unstable at times. But there are some interesting changes in mechanics, more action, some dialogues where you need to reply fast or actions where you need to react quickly, it wasn't really there in previous parts. New look for Holmes and Watson is okay too, I was very skeptical about it but they made it very well. Overall I had a good time but game is quite average at the beginning and gets better with time, certainly not the best way to develop a game, bad start can easily to discourage from playing. I would give it an 8 but it takes too much time for the game to enter the proper level, almost the entire fist half of the game is kind of lackluster. Also giving it an 8 would put it on the same level as The Testament and Crimes and Punishments and I enjoyed them more. Impressive ending parts are not enough to make up the score for entire game.

Cutting Orc heads is still enjoyable. I got through the game 3 times and had a good time each time. There are some limitations, game is linear, open world doesn't really matter because of that. There is also little variety and a lot of repetitiveness, second map really saves this game and adds some variety. Nonetheless the game is good, story is good, as well as graphics. Dialogues and voice acting is great. Combat is very enjoyable, especially in if you are advancing quickly with XP and have some great skills unlocked quickly so you can enjoy them for longer before game ends. There are issues that are preventing me from giving this game more than 8, and those rather disappointing DLCs, especially Bright Lord, are only confirming that this game does not belong to the best ones, but I also cannot give it less than 8 for much good time I had with it.

Amazing game. Beautiful, polished, consistent, with great characters, rich in content. My progress with main storyline was really slow because there was so many interesting things to do along the way. It took 8 days of playing for 5-6 hours a day, it's quite unique for a game to take so long to complete. And it ended just about when it was starting to be overly long. Still not perfect but really not much more to wish, I heard it is very good but it exceeded my expectations. However one thing to mention is that the performance on 99,99% of PCs will be absolutely awful. I was running it on GTX 1080 in SLI so I had no issues, but once I tried with single card, performance is really not good, and add to this idiotic double buffered v-sync that locks your FPS to 30 if you cannot maintain stable 60. And without V-sync it is a tearing disaster. The game is not less demanding than the newest and the most demanding games of 2016. I don't know how it would go if I played it on average setup, probably not so good, but if you play without performance issues then the game is absolutely wonderful.

I had high hopes for this game based on good opinions going around about it, but the game disappointing. It has some moments, but overall it is ridiculous, the world is ridiculous, story is ridiculous, gameplay is annoying, I didn't really see any point in finishing this game after like 6-7 hours of playing through. Performance is rather messy even on GTX 1080, while game is not really offering anything special from visual side and it definitely isn't justified for this game to run worse than the best looking games up there. I pick my games very carefully and usually if I start something I finish it, but not this time.

I don't know how many hours I spent in truck games, first 18 WoS series and now ETS2 and ATS, but it goes in thousands. My three main complains are: old and limited engine causing performance drops in cities no matter how powerful your system is, poor economy with complete lack of any difficulty and very limited management of your company and your drivers, you basically have no control over anything. Game needs some mods to make it better and playable on longer term without getting everything completely easy in very short time, but aside from that this is one of my favorite games, I even bought 900 degree steering wheel especially for ETS2/ATS. Very relaxing, occasionally beautiful, just **** you in for hundreds of hours, although it may not be for everyone. Add to this full modding support, continuous support and regular updates and improved, those games are really cared for. You just know that the game will be improved updated regularly for years and years to come. ATS especially needs it as map is quite limited, but it goes in good direction with map rescaling and new states coming in future. Maps are of really high quality in ATS, atmosphere is great, they just need to expand the game.

Not as good as Brotherhood and it ends quickly, but keeps the high quality level Brotherhood has set. Lacks a bit of story and spirit to be great, but it is very good, sometimes serious, sometimes funny, its just too short to really get into. Out of first four AC games this one is second the best, behind Brotherhood.

Huge step up from AC II. While playing this game I felt like all my complains about the AC II were listened and Brotherhood was made right, even though I played both games in 2016 for the first time :) Not only it is a great game but itself, but it also fixes some things from AC II by going back. From storyline consistency, through graphics to character design, everything significantly improved over AC II. No more horrible textures, game looks very clean, no more major inconsistencies in story and characters finally look good, especially Cristina and Catarina finally look as beautiful as they were described, not like some melted candles like in AC II. Combat a bit too easy but I prefer that over boring and overly long one from AC II. The best AC game I played so far (I played 5 parts so far, to AC III)

Much more ambitious approach then original AC, but game just fails to execute the concepts. From what was supposed to be the great story you get a shadow of great story, quantity over quality and lack of consistency. Its still good and interesting, but there are some serious quality issues with all of this. Graphically thing is the same, cities are big and overall graphics looks quite nice and atmospheric, but LOD is so horrible that you can see very low quality textures changing into proper ones in front of your face. In terms of character design, some characters are well made, and some, like Catarina or Cristna, look like made on a knee 30 minutes before game release. Combat - the same, mixed bag. Ambitious, but like it usually happens with this kind of endeavors, you get quantity over quality and half of the rushed and unpolished. Overall I liked the game and I will have big sentiment for it, but this is just such a mixed bag of great and poor things...

Different approach than Testament, this time 6 standalone investigations. Aside from some inconsistencies and one or two investigations that I feel didn't gave enough information, I have nothing wrong to say about the game. Character design, voice acting and general setting is very good, graphically the game looks very good and is very significantly improved from previous game, also it has much less annoying parts then The Testament and is a bit more friendly for player and more realistic, not throwing puzzles at literally every step. Thanks to 6 standalone investigations and stories the game is much more diverse, environments differ a lot, as well as characters. Really good game.

Surprisingly interesting game. Story is advanced and quite complicated, voice acting is great, character design too. It can be annoying at times, with puzzles at every step, I mean some doors could just freakin open like in the normal world, but overall I feel positive about this game. It was a good experience, sometimes annoying, but still. I finished it so it already says something, very most of games are not getting to this point. Graphically it isn't top of the line of course, but good enough to create the atmosphere and avoid distractions that can be caused by really low graphics quality in games sometimes, but it was solid in that regard, no issues here. You can play it in first person, third person or point and click, which is also quite rare functionality. Overall, puzzles make you think, story is interesting, gameplay is not bad either, graphics are good enough even for someone used to maxed out modern games. Few days well spent with this game.

Beautiful and enjoyable game, even with its flaws. Story is good but chaotic, the order in which you get quests is really not well thought. Thats a shame because the story and the concept is really good, but the way it is executed and implemented can make many people think that it is chaotic and lackluster. Thats the only major concern, this and the fact that the game is quite repetitive. But still I spend well over 50 hours in it, the game is beautiful, the world is perfectly designed to show the atmosphere of this universum, character and car design is great, steering and mechanics are also very good, responsive and satisfying. Optimization is top notch, thats the smoothest game I ever played, not only because it keeps steady 60 FPS 100% of a time, but also the camera movement and controls, everything feels so smooth. On of the best gaming experiences I had this year.

Performance is horrible no matter how powerful your PC is, instances have to be hosted by players, pay2win is enormous, content is much worse than it used to be and now the game is empty and dying, at least on EU. Very emotional, strong and moving story. The overall design is perfectly showing how horrifying the existence of people with such disorders have been back in times, all of this raw and ugly environment... The game does a great job of making you feel how terrible and hopeless it was and makes you feel scared, not by some stupid self-closing doors, pop-ins or other cheap horror things, but by making you think. From technical stand point you can see that the game is very basic in its build and presentation and that this is low budget title, but this not what it is about. Depends of what you expect. I played it through 3 times in 2 years and liked it every time, not really caring about how it compares to other games overall, not really looking into details and flaws so much, which I normally do and this makes it hard to get into the games with some major flaws, so it means that Ryse is very engaging if it managed to make me ignore the flaws and enjoy the game, 3 times.
