Had to turn it off after 20 min. Whoever the director is, don't use him again for any DC film. Not good at all and I blame the director on this one. I would give it a 0 but it's worth giving it a one for the special effects, but the action scenes are still pretty cringy. Characterization and story are just awful. Johnson did about as well to be expected.

The Lost Daughter2

I fell asleep during this one. How on earth did this get made into a film? I kept expecting a twist or something to happen that would warrant sitting through this snorefest. My wife and I watched it mainly because Olivia and Ed, both are amazing actors and did great jobs, though I think it was difficult for Ed to determine what his character was. Olivia can just turn on the waterworks and is so convincing of her character and emotions, but this story just falls flat. Nothing interesting, nothing riveting, just very slow and boring and leads literally nowhere with a disappointing ending. Don't waste 2 hours watching it unless you really like Olivia. She was the standout on this with her dramatic ability, but director Maggie didn't make the story interesting at all. Also, please stop casting Dakota Johnson for parts. When you hear her deliver her lines its aparantly obvious she lacks true acting skills, emotionless, dry and on caliber with high school drama. Dakota needs some serious acting classes or at least should go through some master class sessions. I can act better than her and I'm not an actor.

Absolute garbage. Cringingly bad. I really liked the first Wonder Woman, it was well done. This is just awful and those reviewers that give it a 10 only did one review for this movie to bolster the score. Worst superhero movie I've watched to date.

Not good. Eddie Murphy version is better IMO. This was boring and the farcicle story is incomprehesable. I kept thinking Downeys voice was voiced over by another actor. Little kids should enjoy it.

I actually think this may be the best movie I've seen this year. Very well done, its funny, dark, emotional, intriguing and definitely will keep you on your toes for what happens next which is very unpredictable. A very good story line and well directed. Bravo!

I watched Mister Rogers as a very young child from age 5 to 9. My favorite part was the Land of Make Believe. Tom Hanks really captured the demeanor of Fred Rogers, but keep in mind this is not a movie about Mister Rogers. Rather, it is a film about how Lloyd deals with his relationship with his father and how it has affected his life. Overall, this film was not what I expected it to be. Fred Rogers was really an amazing person and I wish the film had focused mostly on that aspect and given us more of the history. Fred Rogers basically saved PBS from dying in the early years because Nixon wanted to cut the funding.
Overall, I did enjoy the film and it is well done, but I wanted to know more about the show, how it came to be and the story of Fred Rogers, not Lloyd Vogel. Hanks should get an Oscar nod for his performance, but its more for supporting actor.

Really good. I enjoyed it. Somewhat predictable but somewhat different as well. Quite funny at parts and then it gets a bit hoke in the end. Worth a rent.

I don't think the negative reviewers here ever read the book, so if they didn't you can't take much heed in their comments. The film actually follows inline with the book quite well. I really appreciate the fact that it doesn't divert from the original story, unlike my favorite book, "Ready Player One". That movie was a bit of a train wreck for me and I really love SciFi and gaming. I only reserve a 10 for exceptional movies that really leave me remembering scenes or lines like Shawshank. The film will probably leave you emotional, but a good movie can do that.

I'd have given it a 7 if it was fictional, but since it's a true story I felt I had to give credit for a story well told and decently acted. I agree that Cranston and Hart are really pretty good together.

Meh. Not bad. Somewhat cliche. I liked the first half, second half felt pretty predictable.

I usually don't like my documentaries with mostly interviews. It's 80% interviews and back story with about 20 minutes at the end of the climb. It was a 4 hour climb for goodness sakes! You think that the majority of the movie would have been just the climb itself not the pretext up to it. I enjoyed it, but I fell asleep 3 times during the first 2/3rds

A very good movie, well done. Rami should get an Oscar nom for this one. Shed new light on the bands history and it was great to reminisce my childhood memories of the music. New respect for Freddy Mercury, he was a great performer and musician. I'd give a 10, but the teeth for Freddy's character were overdone, to the point of being comical. Should fire the prop guy because he just didn't get his teeth right. They look like they should have been backed off by 4mm.

Very well done mystery and family film. Highly recommend this movie. I learned things about social media I was not even aware of. Quite fascinating from beginning to end.

Truly disturbing. Toni Collette should get a nomination for her role. For me it was not really that scary but at least it doesn't resort to jump scares. It's just really demented. Definitely did not see the end coming and I really wasn't able to know what was going to happen so high marks on keeping me guessing. Demented, dark and disturbing. Makes you wonder if there are really cults like this.

It wasn't until it was getting close to the end that the story finally came together. In the first half I found myself tearing the picture apart with what I thought were blaring holes in the plot. The hand to hand action combat was really well done, and entertaining. The story s a typical revenge tale.

Ready Player One8

Not a ten, but normally I reserve that score for absolute epic movies I could continually watch dozens of times. Still this movie was fun to watch. I've read the book dozens of times so I have to say it's one of my favorite books, primarily because I grew up during the 70s and 80s, so it really is nostalgic. Yes there is a lot of creative liberty taken in making this film. The general basis of the story is there. Granted, I loved the book more but this was still a fun film. Lastly, you trolls that give this movie a zero just to drag it down can go take a long walk off a short pier.

Not the worst, but no where near the best for a survival movie. Excellent acting, decent story, but the directing, MEH. I've seen better. I would have rather watched "The Edge" for the 3rd time than this.

The Lovers2

MEH. My wife and I decided to see it based on critic reviews and were sorely disappointed. Almost left a few times, but hoped it would improve. Not a comedy, except I did laugh out loud when the guy behind us had spilled an entire bag of M&M peanuts during a quiet moment. Personally, I thought Melora Walters nailed her character quite convincingly, good job! Debra Winger played her character very well and Letts was not bad, just not believable as the husband, not his acting just the way he looks in this film. Overall, the story was not that believable. I have to agree with others, sorry Mandy Hoffman, but the soundtrack was just awful. It did not set the mood at all and was almost torturous hearing it throughout the feature. The end of the story just did not make any sense at all.

I'm a male, age 50. I liked it, I mean really liked it. Good story, well acted, and will get to you in ways that really make you think. A well done, "live every day as if its your last" movie where it draws you in and leaves you guessing about your own life.

I'd have to say this is BY FAR my most favorite comic book adaptation movie. Ever laugh so hard you cry? Well this film definitely did it to me. That was so funny and Ryan Reynolds is "spot-on" perfect with comedic timing. ABSOLUTELY LOVED this movie and can watch it over and over again!

One of the better comic to movie films I've seen. Loved Jared Leto's Joker. He really did the character justice, but Harley Quinn really steals the show!

Really really good. The movie hooks you from the beginning imagery daring you to look away. Disgusted while intrigued. The story was really good and unpredictable. Just when you think you have the story figured out, it changes direction and by the end you find yourself completely enthralled and thinking about what you were just shown. I'd have given the picture a 10, but it didn't leave me with any positive feelings when I left the theater. However, it was really, really good!

I guess I just don't get Seth Rogan's sense of humor. I've now seen 9 movies he's been in and after seeing this movie I'm done trying to seeing anything with him in it or produced by him. If he makes you laugh then you more than likely will enjoy it. I guess I'm more a Seth MacFarlane guy, I get his humor and he makes me laugh. I only gave it a 3 because at least its an effort to make adult based CGI animated film.

This was pretty bad. I was really bored overall and really had nothing of the magic of the original. Cameo appearances were nice but would have been better if they were the original characters. My wife and daughter enjoyed it a lot. It seems to be favorable among some women so I recommend it for a date night. The writing is really really weak.

Not bad but not great either, mainly because the last 20 min. of the film goes outside of believable. A+ for Blake Lively, she does an outstanding job playing her role. She was very convincing!
