It got better, but it is still boring. It's an empty game, and the new storyline isn't interesting.

Killzone: Shadow Fall4
Jun 29, 2020
This game is pretty bad. The graphics are alright, but the shooting is very generic, most weapons feel the same. The level design is sometimes confusing, the controls are very clunky, the stealth is straight up bad, and only viable in specific sessions. When the game tries to be anything more than a shooting corridor, it fails and becomes tedious, the "parkour" sections are particularly bad. The story is also terrible and becomes "war bad" in the last missions (I think a couple of moral choices and different endings would've made the game better).
The multiplayer is obviously dead, which makes a platinum unobtainable. (I wonder why the devs keep putting these f*cking online trophies in their games).

The Last of Us Part II5
Jun 26, 2020
A generic "playable movie" game, praised by everyone because of his hyper-pretentious "subverting" story. But hey at least the ROPE MECHANICHS are stunning and brave. I would give this a 4 but I'll give it a 5 because it looks like they are deleting reviews under 5...

This is a game you play to destroy robot animals. And it is fun, very fun. The story and characters aren't great, but it isn't very relevant. I love the gameplay, and how complex every single monster is.

A trash game with nothing worthy of a positive mention. It is all tedious crap that you hae to go through in order to finish the uninspired story, in a generic sci-fi universe popolated by barely functional characters. This game doesn't do anything better than mediocra, and it isn't coming from n angry ME fan.

Bloodborne10
Jun 26, 2020
Soulslike gameplay at its finest. One of the best game settings and lore this generation and a perfect gameplay which rewards an aggressive playstyle over just hiding behind your shield. The enemies and bosses are the most balanced of the genre and thei are all unique. Unlike many soulslike games, there are no crap bosses, or bulls*it bosses, almost all of them are an 7.5/10 or higher, and the level design is way better than DS3, with the first area being maybe one of the best starting levels in the history of the media. The ost is also beautiful, one of the best in gaming.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus6
Jun 26, 2020
Ok. Not fantastic. The story isn't great, and the shooting is pretty good but I personally hate cover based, and the enemies, expecially the final boss(es), are damage spongy, even with headshots. The alarm/stealth mechanic is s*it though, it's very annoying.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War7
Jun 26, 2020
The game got review bombed at launch, but it isn't objectively bad, they even changed the last section of the game to be more bearable, and removed microtransactions. I still advice not playing it because it's the worst part of the game, and just watch the ending on youtube, it's not a great ending anyways.

Titanfall 29
Jun 26, 2020
The best sci-fi shooter in years. It is fun and frenetic. In multiplayer the skill ceiling is extremely high, which actually allows the best players to get 20+ killstreaks consistently. Only nitpick is the hardest difficulty in singleplayer. You die in so little time that the game forces itself to became a boring CoD-like cover base shooter. I advice playing it on hard, never higher, if not for plat.

Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition10
Jun 26, 2020
Probably the best indie ever created. This game perfects the metroidvania formula while still remaining very simple. Beautiful art and visuals, a great ost and a lore worthy of being the "Dark Souls" of bug games. The parkour mechanics aren't perfect, but they feel so natural, and the way they are implemented into the exploration make you find something new every time you return to the old areas of the HUGE game map. The 4 FREE DLCs Add hours of content and an endgame extremely hard challenge (that you have to complete for the platinum) The combat system is simple, with a pretty small moveset, but the way the bosses are designed challenges you to truly master it..

NieR: Automata10
Jun 26, 2020
A masterpiece in innovative storytelling. Truly something unique in the videogame medium. The gameplay costantly has something new to offer, with costant camera view shifts, melee and bullethell sections, minigames and much more. It tells a deep and meaningful story without boring you to hell with useless cutcenes, or massive exposition dumps, but using the tools the gaming media offers. The music is the final perfect touch to this beautiful masterpiece. Also anime ass so 10/10

Assassin's Creed Odyssey7
Jun 26, 2020
Not a terrible game, it has a very fun gameplay loop, with a lot of cool abilities and different weapons and approaches. The story and historical part are also quite good, with the setting being the best thing in this game. Unfortunately the open world is basically empty, full of useless camps to conquer, which would not be a problem if you could only do the main content, but that would but you at a huge disadvantage as you would find yourself way too underleveled. (They, of course, want to tell you te exp. booster)

Jun 26, 2020
The perfect mix of gameplay and story. The combat system is fantastic. It is fun and intuitive but hard to master (as the secret boss proves). I also love the way the camera is handled, with the whole game being a single "take". The game is all in all a technical masterpiece.

I don't get all the praise around this game. It's a pretty good nice indie, but definetly not a masterpiece. The best thing is the narrative, the worst one the gameplay, which feels clunky because of the ps4 controls not being all that good.

Servers are trash and it doesn't even compare to Monster Hunter, which it tried to copy. There is an annoying free to play - battle pass, but at least no pay to win. The monsters and weapon movestes are pretty inspired, but it lacks the consistency of MHW. There isn't enough content and things like the environment, or the way the damage is calculated, aren't very good and detailed. (The elemental damage, for example, is a mechanic less deep than it is in pokemon, with just a flat increase if weak or a flat reduction if resistant, where in MH every small mechanic is special and requires to be studied and mastered).

A nice Soulsklike, with deep build variety, a good story and a combat system hard to master but rewarding. The rpg aspect also allows you to minmax your build and break the game, if you want to. However, the difficulty is not perfectly balanced there are way too many oneshots, and some enemies are too spongy.

Grand Theft Auto V7
Jun 26, 2020
IMO a pretty overrated game. The story is good, nothing too original though, classic Rockstar plot. The online is a disaster. Costant waiting times and slow lobbies, just to get blown up after 5 minutes by a guy on a flying bike. Also i HATE the races. They are the opposite of fun, I don't get how that mode got so popular when the driving mechanics are absolute ****. Also it is populated by 8 year old ret*rds, so doing the heists with randos is impossible, there's always that one moron crashing the plane or griefing. I wish I could do them in single player because they are very good missions, but require wayy to much coop for such a noob-friendly game. The best part is the open word and how much it's detailed. The graphics were very good back in the days, but now look generic.

God of War III Remastered8

This game is a very enjoyable ride. It truly feels like an arcade, hard and frenetic. To get the platinum you have to do everything perfectly. some of the levels took me hours, but it feels very rewarding when you get to the point that you know the levels by heart and can complete almost by muscle memory alone..

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night7
Jun 26, 2020
A pretty cool game and spiritual successor to the castlevania series. Unfortunately, it feels clunky and dated, and the metroidvania genre has made massive steps forward in the last years. Both Ori and HK do everything this game does and do it waaaay better.

Dead Cells6
Jun 26, 2020
It is a good Rouguelike, but I didn't enjoy it much. It is hard, I get it. It took me a while to complete it the first time. The scaling after that point is, however, ridiculous. At only 2 boss cells the first floor gets invaded by endgame enemies which teleport, fly, go invisible, and ALWAYS oneshot you, etc... And there's like 7 of them per room. It feels like artificial difficulty because this game has dozens of mechanics which involve never being hit in 60+ minute runs, such as taking away almost all of your healing potions at higher difficulties. It's way too much, it requires speedrunner levels of precision and reflexes just to get to the last ending, which also blocks off most of the DLC's. Also, little note, the bosses aren't as great as, for example, hollow knight. They are kinda spammy and annoying, and there's very few of them. I almost never get annoyed by hard games, actually I love them, but just finishing this game is harder then the DmC5 platinum. I didn't get past the third BC

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice9
Jun 26, 2020
The best From game since Bloodborne. This game's structure is similar to the souls games, but the combat system is completely different. It takes a lot to get accustomed to it but it gets a lot easier the further you go. Ironically, I probably died more times to the Ashina Spears miniboss then to the Final boss of the game. Also I don't like the forced NG+ mechanic. It was better in DS3 and BB. This just feels like a f*ck you to the completitionists.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy6
Jun 26, 2020
An all in all mediocre game, which does nothing great and nothing terrible. I don't get all the complaints about the protagonists, though. They aren't that bad, and make for a pretty good cast for a side story. The stealth, however, is terrible and the shooting isn't great at all. Without the autoaim, every difficulty higher than normal is unbearable with a controller. The gameplay got me so bored that at the end I put everything on easy and turned the autoaim on, because I just wanted to get to the end of the story.

Jun 26, 2020
Making turn based rpgs fun is hard, but Atlus got it right. just great. Only annoying thing is the sometimes cheesy and tropey dialogue, with the usual lines about friendship and justice you always see in mediocre anime. There are still great plot sections and character moments.

Gravity Rush 28
Jun 26, 2020
A perfect sequel to the original. Bigger and Better in every way. The shifting mechanic and gameplay are improved, the story isn't perfect, it has a couple of WTF? moments, it has a completely different feel from the original. The new area is absolutely great, and perfectly reflects the tonal shift from the original. Unfortunately the side missions are mostly terrible and they are mandatory if you want to get the platinum, also tedious because of the huge amount of gem grinding required. Also despite being great to explore, the 4 main areas are too vertically distant, and unless you use the fast travel it takes way too much to get from one to another, which isn't great because I would prefer to use the gravity shift.

Gravity Rush Remastered8
Jun 26, 2020
Very underrated gem. The shifting mechanic is original and well implemented, but mastering it feels challenging. The enemies are very weak, the story is simple, short, but very very sweet. The characters are adorable, expecially Kat. There's almost no side missions, but the free DLC fixes that.

BioShock 28
Jun 26, 2020
Basically the same as Bioshock 1 but with a more aggressive gameplay that feels a lot better to play. The excort missions with the little sister are not very fun and get old fast. They could have just made the big daddies stronger if they wanted obtaining ADAM to be harder. The story and lore is not as interesting IMO, but being able to explore new areas of Rapture is great. Love it as much as the first one.

This game takes everything great the first two had and throws it into the trash, to replace it with **** call of duty, while keeping the few things that didn't quite work unchanged. Also I don't get why Elizabeth is considered such a great character, she's mediocre IMO.

Devil May Cry 59
Jun 26, 2020
Awesome game. The gameplay is absolutely perfect. nothing more to say, it is pure FUN. The difficulty scaling is also very good, and the 2 hardest settings truly feel like an huge challenge, expecially if you are going for the platinum. -1 point only for the V sections. They are too spammy and making your pets die in one hit in HaH makes getting an S just boring and tedious, not hard. The music also is just perfect, it fits beautifully with the tone of the game. Generic story but who tf cares this is a game about edgy demon hunters.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider4
Jun 26, 2020
The worst in the trilogy BY FAR. The game is more of the same but with way less enemies and a lot more piss easy puzzle sections which feel boring to play through. Also the story feels very rushed, full of uninteresting characters and mcGufinns. The game looks good, expecially the tombs, which makes raiding them better, but playing it feels like a chore, I stopped playing it about 70% through.

Jun 26, 2020
The gameplay and graphics are good, but not perfectly polished. Some sections are, however, absolutely perfect, and feel great to play through. If you played it, you know what I'm talking about... The story isn't that great, but the best thing about this game is definetly it's setting and lore, that you get to discover and explore piece by piece. Never have I been exited to find the next document or secret zone.

Code Vein7
Jun 26, 2020
This game's combat is alright, but the difficulty scaling is pretty bad and the enemy and boss variety is lackluster. The build/class system is very interesting and pretty unique in the Soulslike genre. The story is, unfortunately, not as good. It's not terrible but it's full of edgy exposition dumps, with the words blood, vestiges ore whatever being used like 1000 times. It's not bad because it's Animey, but it uses way too many tropes. The flashback sections are not bad, but they get boring when you have to "play" through 20 of them to upgrade your blood codes. For the true ending I had to watch around 8 of them back to back and it wasn't enjoyable at all because they weren't even the best ones in the game.

Metro Exodus1
Jun 26, 2020
This game is extremely TEDIOUS. The gameplay is very boring, it forces you to do stealth despite having a beautiful weapon customization system, which is unfortunately ruined by poor controls and shooting. Also the story bored me after the prologue, the animations are not very good and the moral choices are usually KILL = BAD = PEOPLE FROM YOUR TEAM DYING, as an additional way to force you into the annoying and subpar stealth mechanics. I didn't get past a couple of "levels" The level design also ****. Items to interact with are indistinguishable from the background, as it all blends into a mix of metallic textures. It is also very hard to understand where you have to go or what to do and you WILL end up wasting minutes of gas mask filters just wandering around, which also has an impact on your ability to craft other things such as ammo, which is already scarse. This makes the whole gameplay loop a lot worse.
PlayStation 4
