4.4/10 user reviews is ridiculous. I’ve been playing NHL games since Wayne Gretzky on NES. NHL games have had a lot of issues over the years but ‘22 has been a radically different game from the past 5-10 years. The player systems, puck handling, AI are all improved. Anyone who has been playing hockey and the video games for as long as I have, knows that this game should be rated 7 at the lowest. From here on out this series will only improve. Especially thanks to next gen consoles.

Right now I just can’t score it high. On base ps4 it’s ridiculous how many bugs are affecting it. It’s so blurry that you spend an hour trying to get the settings right and it still isn’t enough. I’m having the worst time trying to change views when driving. It’s crashed on me several times. So dissatisfied at this point for a game that was initially built to be in current gen consoles. We should’ve been first priority especially with the mess of next gen console release. Hopefully CDPR releases another patch soon to resolve all of these major problem. Also... the weapons and upgrades menu is a complete mess. It’s very difficult to understand and the game gives you no explanation of how it works. Maybe developers should stop giving games to reviewers to build them up when a game is just broken. This game was the most anticipated in years and the fans (aka the people paying for it) are pissed.

Another great addition to the franchise and I can’t wait for the next gen installment! Looked amazing on the RE Engine and I’m still a fan of the DMC game from ninja theory.

Incredibly beautiful world, great combat and good story. The characters could’ve used a bit more emotion but the end result was worth it. From area to area I caught myself stopping to look at the small details in this gorgeous setting. The side missions were even good. Following different characters through those quests were ultimately satisfying. I can’t wait to see if a sequel is in the works. Great job to **** Punch studios!

At least some of the critic reviews were honest about how bad the writing in this game is. The rest of them are just giving into the BS that Naughty Dog put out in statements before the game was released. The studio lied to fans for months saying that the leaks weren't true and that the story would honor Joel and Ellie. Funny, I didn't realize that honoring Joel meant completely changing everything about his character in the first hour of the game by having him and Tommy talk to complete strangers about where they were living, offering supplies and saying who they were without hesitation. Fans deserved better than this. So thanks Naughty Dog for not only "Honoring Joel and Ellie" but the fans as well with this ridiculous story. It could have been so much more and now you've lost the respect of nearly all of your fan base.

This is Obsidian at it's best. A great narrative and fun gameplay. Decisions actual affect outcome and I don't have to pay $100 a year to enjoy mediocirty ;) It's a bit linear but in the end I don't mind.

This game isn't for everyone but in no way deserves a 0-3 in score. Games have to be completely broken like Fallout 76 for that to happen. Kojima is setting new gameplay ideas and systems in place for his future games and I'm excited to see where his production company goes in the future.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order9

Just based on the gameplay (which has a few minor issues) I'd give this game an 8/10, but the story fits into Star Wars lore so well and the character acting is fantastic. There were several small twist that kept popping up with a few characters that I was never expecting to be in the game and when this happens its very exciting. Back tracking can be a bit annoying at times and there were some issues on level design were i got stuck due to a mechanical issue and had to reload from a previous save. Overall I loved this as a Star Wars game and can't wait to see what Respawn does from here and because of just overall enjoyment of the story and visuals, I give it 9/10

BioShock: The Collection10

Yes, this review is extremely late to the game. no puns. After playing the series at the original releases, at the time I was not doing many reviews. I thought BioShock 1 was a revolution in gaming. One of the best games ever released at the time. The 2nd installment I thought was just an extension of that and did a good job of tweaking the mechanics. But **** but then,,, Infinite was released. First of **** intro to the game gave me every emotional feeling that descending into Rapture gave me the first time I played the original game. I could not put Infinite down. After playing a few hours on release day I called out of work sick for the next two days and played. Then the ending came.. I cannot tell you how much time I spent starring at the television once the game was drawing to its conclusion with my jaw dropped. To this day the ending of Infinite goes down to me as the best ending to a game ever. Even today I won't give spoilers and just say that if you have never experienced BioShock, you owe it to yourself to go through the entire trilogy. Its one of the best game series ever created and I hope that we can get at least one next gen installment some day.

Red Dead Redemption 29

This was for sure one of my Game of the year contenders but God of War took that for me. After my first playthrough is was tough deciding overall which RD I enjoyed more between this and Redemption 1. I loved the character of Arthur Morgan. I thought the voice acting was great and the dynamics between himself and Dutch were great. That being said, every time I heard John speak it just made me want to go back and play the original game. His character was one the best I've ever experienced in gaming. The ending of the first RD had pretty emotional and was one of the best game endings I've ever seen. RDR2 gave me mixed emotions by the end. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the whole experience. There is so much do in the vast, beautiful landscape. The hunting alone was fantastic. Tracking down your kills felt like the real thing. Fishing can be just as annoying as it is in real life. It's just an enjoyable game and I can't wait to see the future of Red Dead.

Garbage. This should be a free-to-play. So **** Bethesda would release a game with so many problems is beyond me. This makes me worried for future installments and for games like Starfield.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey7

One thing I've always looked for upon a release is immediate user reviews that give a game a 0-5 score. First off, it's vary rare that any AC game will ever deserve below a 6.5 score and most of that has to do with bugs or the fan base feeling as if the game has fallen away from form. However, this game doesn't deserve those types of scores no matter how you view it. The RPG elements are enjoyable, The combat has improved from Origins, the new Exploration mode makes me want to invest more time into travelling throughout the world when normally I would just want to just follow the quest guidelines. Overall, no, this doesn't feel like a true Assassins Creed game but it is very enjoyable. I'm hoping after these next two years off UBI takes the best of what we loved at the beginning of the series and combines it with the new RPG elements. It takes away that slight linear feeling the original games had. I do miss the overall style of the original games in gear design. I haven't felt like an Assassin since the EZIO series and I wish we could bring that feeling back. Overall I'm enjoying this game about 20hrs in. The story is more enjoyable than Origins, slight frame rate drops can occur and some of the NPC voicing is laughable but this game deserves a solid 7.5/8 score overall.

God of War10

Exceeded every expectation I had. I was initially worried about the father son dynamic but the story is so well done that those worries disappeared within the first few hours of gameplay. By far the best graphics on the PS4 to date (until TLOU2 comes out I'm sure) Everything from the new lore, combat mechanics, just everything is so well done. Absolutely deserved game of the year!

Nostalgic. This game brought back so many memories of what true survival horror should feel like. Few games over the past 20 years have managed to make me feel so tense. Graphically it's on par with some of the best this generation of console has to offer. The environment alone, with lighting, smoke effects and sound just add so much to the overall feel. This RE engine is wonderful. I wish there was more variety in the two different sides of playing as Leon and Claire but everything else made up for what was lacking in that regard. Now can you please do the same thing with 3 and 4?!
