Here to balance out the positive and negative review bombs It's a passable game but its nothing special that will detract players from their main extract games for long.

Elden Ring Nightreign4

Finished it, Was already feeling the repetition of everything getting boring half way through but now that i've finished it I can say for certain nothing changed, doubt ill pick it up again unless some SERIOUS patches occur. - Most of the Nightlords are complete pushovers with the exception of 1 (and its not the one you'd think it should be)
- You shouldn't be able to predict the bosses at elemental locations or any location really, nothing should be static in a roguelike
- There should be more than 6 night bosses per nightlord pool
- There needs to be WAY WAY WAYYYYYY more variance in the drops you get to make the power curve feel crazy at times instead of just "insert % increase here" more effects like those found on gold weapons spread across the board could be good
- And then it needs more interesting perks; the only interesting ones in it are the walk or sprint builds which are completely nonviable What a waste of time and resources that could have been spent getting their next mainline game out even 6 months earlier I fear that with the last 3 announcements being 2 live servicey games and a movie, we have lost Fromsoftware; That's Kadokawa Shibuya now. When it's not an atypical ARPG soulslike, and its not even slightly in the league of being a good roguelike, who was this game even for? Nobody?

Phenomenal Soundtrack. Phenomenal Gameplay. Phenomenal first 2 acts let down by a (rushed?) 3rd act that makes the first two feel weightless. Ends up re-using concepts from the exact company they escaped from with the paintings just being a reskinned animus.

Fable: The Lost Chapters9

Remember when Microsoft pushed out masterpieces? Pepperidge farm remembers. Nothing has really cracked the charm and humor of Fable 1 since it's release. Give us Fable 4 (Or Conkers Bad Fur Day 2!)

I find it really hard to judge this as it's own game with all of the soulslike DNA it shares. One side of me says it has waaaaaay too little build variety and thus replayability lacks but then the other side remembers that it's meant to be a totally different character driven experience and not a tabletop style ARPG. As a soulslike it's a 7, as it's own game its a 10. 9 it is.

Great boss design and great build variety let down by Dark Souls 2 #2 styled level designs that never wrap around like they could have (Dark Souls 1, Bloodborne) At least the world makes sense this time though looking at everything from afar

Would probably have topped Dark Souls 1 for me as my favourite Fromsoftware game if not for a severe lack of replay-ability options in the lack of build, weapon and cosplaying choices.

Microsoft just don't push them out like they used too. Here's to hoping Fable 4 isn't a complete disaster!

The worst souls game. Flat linear level and world design that doesn't make any sense. Poison swamps with elevators that go up to castles with lava moats. Arcade souls.

It's the game that ruined Action RPG's for me forever. No world design in gaming has stacked up since. An imperfect buggy unfinished masterpiece

It's Aiight. Prefer the original souls formula over mixing the combat and questing in with a Ubisoft-like sandbox Didn't deserve the praise it got but glad to see Fromsoftware finally get the recognition they have deserved in the past, Just for one of their weakest games somehow. I guess because it's easier to grind for the casual market being open world like that.

Leaps and bounds over the original. Requires a pretty beefy rig to run smoothly as expected of an Unreal 5 Engine game but I have that beefy rig so my score is not impacted.

A remake to one of the greatest games of all time, somehow made even better. I couldn't care for the microtransactions debate as it doesn't affect the actual game and who's really playing RE4 for Mercenaries longer than a week

I'm at 16 hours game time and still waiting for it to get good as I've been told by so many that it doesn't get good until "Insert however many hours here" Pretty sure its a trap. It's never going to get good. They tried this same argument with FF16 earlier in the year. "Good for a bethesda game" sure, but that just means its a 10/10 compared to Fallout 76 and a 7/10 compared to good RPG's from other developers. Not to mention it's basically unplayable on a Nvidia/Intel rig without mods, And no Todd i don't think I have to upgrade from my 13700k/4080 ROG Strix rig. I think dev's need to stop supporting AMD's terrible solution to DLSS and then blaming the consumer when it doesn't work. This bumps it down from a 7 to a 6 at least for the PC port. Golden Raspberry of the year.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom9

As a longtime classic Zelda fan who wasn't a fan of BOTW, coming into this I was not expecting to love it as much as I do. They've almost perfectly fused what makes a Zelda game with what made BOTW. And it just works. Not to mention the physics are the biggest leap forward in gaming since Portal 1. Best Zelda since Majoras Mask

I don't hand out 10's very often. The last game I considered an imperfect 10 is Dark Souls 1, The game before that was Majora's Mask. I say Imperfect 10 because there is no such thing as a true 10, every game has some bugs somewhere. It's a 10. Game of the generation.

Final Fantasy XVI4

It's basically Final Fantasy 13 all over again, but this time even worse with fancier graphics. 15 for all its flaws, even on launch, was a much better game than this. And felt more modern than whatever this dated junk is. Whoever at PlatinumGames said this was their Magnum Opus was on copium too, we saw better combat in the 2000's by DMC3 and we've had better cinematic QTE moments in gaming since Uncharted 2. The Titan Fight is the only thing we see come close to anything on the scale of your typical God Of War/Bayonetta/DMC style game, and it is let down by extremely basic QTE commands and a framerate that cannot keep up with what is happening on the screen. The story moves at a snails pace and there is cutscenes all over the place that could have just played out in game (EG: Cid trips over on a bridge, This is shown via a 3-4 minute cutscene with tedious gaps between each and every sentence as if the voice acting was all done line by line without any actual cohesion) Dead IP. FF7 Remake is their Obi-Wan Kenobi in New Hope
