Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

I played this game directly after getting the marvel's spider man's platinum and this one looked like a really conservative long DLC sold as a stand alone game. I felt directly familiar with the city, controls and gameplay and it had the same Batman Arkham + infamous vibes, maybe more Infamous now due Miles non spider related spectacular superpowers. The story I did not like a lot and it was really weird seeing this cringe worthy attempt of inventing a "new" spider man in an universe where Peter is still alive and active. The" be yourself" motto contrasts with having a main character trying to be spiderman, wearing spiderman suits and fighting Peter's enemies, Why on earth somebody considered that race-age-gender swapping the Tinkerer instead of creating a new original antagonist for Miles is something I still can not understand. Also it tries to hard to build the community feeling that it fails miserably, like for example when Miles and his mother speak "Spanish", also some agenda with the trope of white bad guy, the LGTBI activists or the non Christian Christmas is present as usual. At least this game has way less filler than Marvel Spiderman and we don't have to play the insufferable stealth MJ missions. In summary a direct, enjoyable game with great graphics and another terribly mild story that you will forget very fast.

I bought this game because I really like Spider Man, and while I'm not a die-hard fan, I have my share of Amazing Spider-Man comics on my shelves. This insomniac's game gives me mixed feelings: On one hand, I like the gameplay and mechanics, it reminds me of a mix of Batman Arkham and Infamous. The webbing is incredible, the gadgets are fun to use, and the combat is very satisfying. New York is full of repetitive mission icons that I really enjoyed completing while wearing the different spider suits. On the other hand, I didn't like the insomniac-verse characters at all, an example was Mary Jane. Instead of a beautiful, charismatic red-haired tigress, she's just an unbearable, uglyfied (look at the beautiful motion capture actress) Mary Sue who imitates Lois Lane's lifestyle and treats Peter like trash, basically like any other woman. in this game, except good old aunt May. I also found the Miles/Mary Jane "stealth" missions horrible which ended in slow paced trial and error sections that I just wanted to finish as soon as possible. The story was pretty bland except for the last fight, which was epic and emotional. At least The 3 DLCs are good, they portray a slightly healthier relationship between Peter and MJ and were fun to play, although I think Sable's character was a total waste and the black cat costume shows how terrible and self-censored Western developers currently are. In short, a good and fun game with terrible characters.

This is my first approach to the JRPG "Tales" franchise and I was attracted to it due to its unusual premise: taking control of the 'bad guys', a furious vengative lead female character and a bunch of demons, pirates, traitors and witches on a suicidal vendetta against light paladins. I have to say that the combat was really confusing and I did not like it, too many systems working or better to say colliding together, also tons of things to regard in the middle of the fight that strangely you do not need to use or even understand if you play on the default difficulty as you will mow every enemy unless you are heavily under level. Graphically you can notice that was originally developed for PS3 and then ported to PS4 so the textures and scenarios look outdated, on the positive side if you play it on PS5 you will have solid 60fps due the unlocked framerate. Thankfully the design and art of the main characters and the locations is outstanding and the anime sequences made by Ufotable, the ones behind Kimetsu No Yaiba, are superb. The level design, especially on the dungeons is too limited and frustrating due strange limitations like the no possibility to jump or the switch mechanisms to open paths, having to backtrack labyrinthic corridors to access the next section. This gets later mitigated by a "transport" that speeds up movement. It's also a pity that the in-game costumes are so few and ugly, gigantic cat disguises; the DLC'S ones are quite pricey, although they can be a good investment in such a long game. Finally the part that makes this game shine, Velvet, the protagonist, is one of the best written and designed female video game characters I have ever seen, also the chemistry between the unusual party members is really good, I never skipped a skit about them. The story is so interesting that it explains how such a long game (it took me more than 50 hours) has a completion rate much higher than the average. The ending is just perfect and really emotive, I doubt I will ever forget it and it's directly on my top 5 of all time video game endings. Why Do Birds Fly?

The Danish studio Playdead delivers again another side scrolling puzzle platforming masterpiece. This indie game has a lot of similarities with Limbo and if you enjoyed it, you will immediately love Inside. The unsettling atmosphere, the cruel deaths the infant main character will suffer, the limited colour palette and the sound, or lack of it will keep you immersed until the end. Inside's puzzles are carefully designed to have a perfect difficulty level that will not require you to google them but still offer a fair challenge and they never get repetitive due the perfect length of the game. Story wise it is deliberately confusing and the shocking ending is open to interpretation and material for wiki theories, also the hidden alternative ending is worth experiencing.

A monotonous stroll through the Peruvian jungle, with little action, clunky platforming, repetitive puzzles, a forgettable plot and an insufferable Lara that is just a shadow of her better times. This game takes 2 steps back from Rise in terms of combat and rhythm and it's miles away from the 2013 reboot in terms of Lara's charisma and appeal. Let's start with Lara, changing the face/body from Megan Farquhar to Camila Luddington was an atrocious mistake already made by Crystal Dynamics on Rise under the excuse of "allowing better motion capture" although we all know the reason behind it. Now it seems that was not enough and Eidos uglyfied her even more, messing with her body proportions and designing the most hideous clothing ever present on a video game, clothing that is mandatory during long sections of the game even if you have purchased DLC outfits! This results in a Lara with 0 charisma, super weird facial expressions, no agility or gymnastic skills, it feels like handling a space marine, and an utterly monotonous voice acting. On top of that they give her a dislikeable and selfish personality. The legendary iconic Lara is gone. Eidos also stripped most of the combat from the game mechanics, making 2/3 of the skill tree useless, but forgot to replace it with something else apart from collecting garbage to upgrade the weapons that you will rarely use. The writing is atrocious and the history has a lot of obvious plot holes. The enemy AI is also very poor, being most of the time just lemmings that can be taken care of one after another on a corner. On the positive side, I liked the dark tone of the game a lot, like Indy and temple of doom, some scenarios are gorgeous, especially a couple of tombs and the executions are brutal.. On PS5 there is a free upgrade to play it on 4K and it offers impressive moments, except the NPCS, they still look consistently terrible. Another nice feature is that if you have save data of the previous Cristal Dynamic tomb raider some outfits will be automatically unlocked, even the 2013 PS3 Lara skin. I recommend playing it on "one with the jungle" difficulty and doing all tombs and side quests, this makes combats more frequent and gives a reason to upgrade Lara's skill tree, also removes the white painting on the platform sections. In summary, if this would be a new franchise I think it would deserve around a 6-7 score but being a Tomb raider with circa 100M budget (the 3th part of a trilogy!) the result is really disappointing. As a fan that has purchased and completed every tomb raider since 2006, even the isometric ones, it leaves me really worried about Lara's future.

If you enjoyed the German Deponia trilogy, it's non politically correct humour and you liked the way Goodbye deponia ended, this is very important, you will probably also like this game. The pillars of the saga are still here: awesome drawing, sense of humour, great English voice acting, puzzles and minigames. This time the story it's sadly a convoluted mess with time travel involved that I really did not enjoy much. It has some repetitive puzzles inside time loops that require "trial and error" that were really a pain and the interaction with Goal was not as great as in previous games until the last part. I think this is clearly a product only for Deponia die hard fans that wanted to revisit some locations, see for the first time Elysium and have another adventure with Rufus and goal.

The final entry on the German point and click Deponia series will give a closure to Rufus' adventures for better or worse. The story progresses and we learn a lot about Rufus and some other characters while solving puzzles, minigames and watching cut scenes. What I did not like about this story was the tone of some chapters of the game, they were just too gloomy, empty and depressing. I also think that this game reaches its peak of moon logic on some puzzles and they really expect you to google the solutions. This game keeps an excellent level in drawings, voice acting and sense of humour. The ending was really a surprise and it can divide the players. On a side note, it is incomprehensible why Sony removed this game from the PsnStore, devaluating the complete saga on PlayStation unless you buy this one on disc. This exaggerated reaction to a puzzle that involves a joke on a dark skinned char it's absurd because this kind of non-politically correct joke from the dislikeable main character is the core of the saga and almost any other collective has received their share. What a sad moment in the video games we are living in right now.

The second entry on the German point and click Deponia series it's my favourite one of all four. Every single aspect of the game is at its maximum, the world building, the side characters, the story and especially the interaction with Goal, even the ending is the only one that i really liked from the 4 games. Some minigames can be challenging because they experiment with aspects outside the point and click genre, the good thing is if you are stuck you can ignore them (if you do not care about the trophies) Still if you disliked the anti hero main char and the sense of humor and tone the first game, this one will not change on that regard. This is one of the best games of this genre I have played for a long time and even the collectibles have a lot of appeal and are worth searching for ;)

The first entry on the German point and click "Deponia" series is a really enjoyable game. My main highlights of deponia are the beautifully drawn backgrounds, the english voice acting and the charismatic world building. The "family guy" sense of humor of the main character would not be suited for everyone but I have no issues with that. The puzzles are interesting and although some of them require moon logic, most of them are doable, the minigames can be hard but you can ignore them unless you go for the platinum. Regarding the port to ps4, the controls are good but a game breaking bug remains on the last chapter of the game, no clue how it passed the QA, but as soon as you see an anchovy save the game and be careful because you can get into a deadlock

The Doomguy is back, full of anger, lust to eviscerate demons and wanting to show off his impressive gymnastic skills that can rival a soviet gymnast. Technically this game is solid as the Hell's gates and on PS5 is really a pleasure to play, with the last patch you can choose now between ray tracing or 4K resolution , frame rate is always stable no matter how many rockets, demon limbs and explosions are shown. The campaign has the perfect duration and takes you through levels with a completely different atmosphere, medieval inspired ,alien, hellish, etc. while blowing up the classical doom demons and some few new ones. The difficult level is really well adjusted and every one apart from the easiest is challenging and rewarding. The structure of the game is basically the same as with the Doom 2016, traversing an intricate level with arenas full with demons while searching for collectibles/upgrades. Eternal has filled up the space between arenas with platforming sections to break the monotony and they are interesting but I personally disliked them because for me they did not fit the ambience well and were just places to potentially lost a live or get your armour/health reduced before the next arena. Due to my personal taste this game is a step below 2016 because I liked the tone, music, demon design and atmosphere there more, closer to the horrific Doom3. Eternal has more Doom2/Quake3 vibes with a more vivid colour palette. Also some new demons like the Marauders are interesting to fight the first 3 times you cross them, but the 14th time they are just annoying and break the combat flow. Nevertheless is an excellent boomer shooter that you should not let pass. P.D: It's a pity that due MS consolidation and the buy of Zenimax I will not be able to play future titles of the saga :(

This polish indie walking simulator takes place in a stunning countryside landscape combining Lovecraft vibes with puzzles and a remarkable OST. Even though I do not like specially walking simulators, I enjoyed this game due to its detectivesque narrative, the mystery surrounding Ethan¨s disappearance and his dysfunctional family. It also helps that in this game you can move faster by pressing the run button. IMO the ending was kind of a cliche but fitted the story well and I liked that It can only be unveiled once all mysteries are solved. The Ps4 version was done from scratch to utilize the unreal engine 4, the original one used the 3, and it's really impressive, it also includes some QOL features like the saving system and the quick travel system to complete all mysteries. The puzzles are a little bit annoying sometimes because of the lack of indications, trial and error mechanics or some absurdly demanding precision to place the items but overall they are ok. In summary a short game with a very powerful atmosphere that can be easily recommended to anyone who likes mystery stories, puzzles and lovecraft's work.

This gory hack & slash game starred by pretty vampires with impossible bodies wearing bikinis and cowboy hats it's an enjoyable echo of a bygone era. The good old times of AA with non marketable titles, PS2 textures and PS3 character models that look like plastic dolls and where the life bar of the bosses has only the "BOSS" word on top. Good old times without neo puritan woke censorship in which your chars could wear just a tiny microkini and dual katanas or a chainsaw. Although the gameplay is not as exquisite as a good Platinum¨s game, it's pretty solid and it throws literally hundreds of zombies at you, at constant 60fps, so you can mow them down with cool combos and fill the screen with blood and limbs. Every girl has a different moveset with evolutions and weapons, rings and moves to unlock. My only complaint is that the bosses are a little bit predictable, either slow huge bullet sponges or super fast human size enemies that move much faster than the camera can follow. A really great game that I played until I got my shiny platinum. ICHIBAN WA MEEE!!!

Having the opportunity to play the iconic, influential and unforgettable Baldur's Gate saga on console is terrific. This game contains the 2 Baldur's Gate entries and their 2 expansions (TotSC and ToB) so you can carry over your character from the beginning to the end of the story. It also includes the newly created SoD that acts as a bridge between BGI and BGII but sadly it´s too linear, poorly written and woke. I think it is worth playing if you can handle a blatant brainwash attempt, endless trash mob combats and some horrible changes on classical companions due to the devs ideology. The console port is ok, the control with the pad is correct, enough for the most demanding difficulties, text size is adaptable and it has a lot of UI/Gameplay configuration options. Loading and saving times are non-existent.. As a negative aspect the game crashes more and more as you progress on the saga, being the last expansion TOB really inestable, so please save a lot. Trophy wise this collection is a beast, it has 171 trophies and 3 platinum in total. This saga is not only good from a nostalgia or gamer archaeology point of view it also demonstrates how excellent the western RPG could be in contrast to modern ones.

The companions, locations, dialogues, side quests, world building, enemies and D&D ruleset adoption are just exquisite. It's surprising how modern RPGs lack elements that were present on this game more than 20 years ago and how the current political agenda of the industry has negatively affected them. I am not giving it a perfect score because it crashes a lot on Ps4 (specially during the Throne of Bhaal expansion) and because the newly introduced companions are mediocre, woke and forgettable. Regarding the PS4 version the controls have been correctly adapted to the pad and the text size can be adapted to be readable on big TVs.

Forbidden West is a "By the book '' sequel with impressive graphics but with a world in which its inhabitants look uglier and have less soul than the dinobots. I got the platinum of the PS5 version, free upgrade for the PS4 disc version and I have to admit that on quality mode technically is outstanding, 0 visual glitches, one of the best HDR 44 I have ever seen and superb sound mix, especially on a 7.1 AV-receiver The incredible usage of the Decima engine is combined with horrendous NPCs due to questionable design, hairdos and clothing. Aloy's is also affected by this, especially if you take a look at how beautiful Hannah Hoekstra is, IMO the uglifying process went way too far, no idea if this is due to Agenda or "realism" but the NPCS sometimes look like caricatures and Aloy looks like a developer messed up on purpose with the face of a beautiful girl to content some gamer segment. If having such less visual appeal on the NPCS was not enough, their dialogs are dull and the main char is totally one dimensional on her relationships with them, 'I have no time for this'. Hence you get disconnected very fast and end up not caring at all about them. This adds on top of a mild main story with uncharismatic new enemies ripped off from Deus Ex Human Revolution. Even the decisions that the player can make have no impact and some of the romantic interest you can start get obliterated d by the infamous Burning Shores DLC. The mini-games (e.g. racing, arenas) are atrocious and this game really needs a z-targeting system if they want to focus on human against human combats. IMO the best moments of this game happen while exploring the map or beating some huge dinobots. Also all the patches released until now help a lot on the experience and add a lot of QOL options

The only thing this Burning Shores has ignited is the franchise fanbase. It's only for PS5 and pricey for the content it includes, specially comparing it with the Frozen Wilds. The new machine groups and mechanics result on more chaotic and burdensome combats. Then it comes the controversial change to Aloy's character that basically pushes the game narrative into a direction that a lot of players, myself included, do not like because it feels forced and artificial just to follow a trend on the industry. This change even contradicts narrative choices that the player can make on the Forbidden West. If you plan to make a sequel of one of the most iconic and beloved RPG of all times you have to be at least respectful with the original source/characters, the fanbase and deliver a solid product. Sadly Beamdog blinded by their political radical view did exactly the contrary and delivered a poorly written, linear, woke to the bone and full of bugs game. Currently after many patches some of the most insulting parts (like Minsc's gamergate reference or the trans character dialog) have been either removed or modified, now the trans char gives you that "critical" piece of information as a "reward" for his quest. Also the game is less buggy although it still crashes a lot (completed in Ps4), much more than the BGEE. Nevertheless the terrible Amber Scott's writing is way beyond repair, all feminine characters have the same SJW "strong, independent, no-nonsense and superior" attitude making them all alike and 95% of masculine chars are either just dumb, malicious or under a strong independent woman. The personality changes on classical chars like Jaheira or Safana are brutal and now Minsc is just a buffoon. The only interesting new character is the gay gnome but it's not enough to compensate the damage on the other chars and the plain new ones. Story wise it's too predictable, it resurrects characters killed on BG and opens storylines that will never be closed on BGII. The ending is also too abrupt. The overall game reminded me much more to Iced Wind Dale as to a BG due how railroad it is, map after map that you can not revisit once completed. On the positive side the OST is really good and the colourful new levels are full with NPCs and sidequests with different resolutions. Also some encounters are epic but sadly full of thrash mobs that must be killed with AOE spells. Summary: if it would be a new RPG franchise IMO it would be mediocre but as a Baldurs Gate it's simply bad.

Having the opportunity to (re)play one of the most influential RPG of all times is really great, specially if it is enhanced with several QoL features and the SotSC expansion. Playing this game (on ps4) until getting the platinum has been a really enjoyable nostalgia trip, the legendary characters and locations never looked better and the story and worldbuilding were as good as they were more than 20 years ago. Still this an old school RPG with strict D&D rules, demanding inventory micromanagement and it looks like a 1998 game so I assume that newcomers will run for their lives towards more "friendly" modern games. I am really grateful for all the configuration possibilities this version offers like the zoom in--out, text size and gameplay adjustments. The new characters included by Beamdog are mostly forgettable and I think gamers will stick to the party they had back in times but they did a great job adapting it to a controller and solving bugs. I have mixed feelings about this game, basically it brings to PS4 two missing entries of the series, one being completely redone from 2D to 3D and using the same engine that the last PS4 entries of the franchise, that is really great and much appreciated. The issue is that it comes some years after the awesome Estival Versus and it has fewer scenarios, smaller ones, half of our beloved shinobis and some mechanics are not present (e.g. creative finishers). On the positive side the 3D combat brawler feels really good (60 fps) and gives us a lot of background about the waifus and their motivation. It also has a ton of missions (more than 90) with a lot of art to unlock and costumes to purchase in game with the game currency. The voice acting and the Shinobi designs are as good as always, the only thing that really bothers me was the camera on small scenarios, it collides against the walls making you lose the combat flow. Also I think there are too many Hibari missions on the Hanzo arc and she is not a very funny playable character due her moveset. I personally did not miss the intimacy mode absurdly censored by the new puritan Sony but I can understand the rage about it. To conclude, this game is the best possible entry point to Senran Kagura on PS4 with an easy plat too, but if you plan only to play 1 Senran Kagura game, then skip this one and buy directly the Estival Versus.

Knowing that this game was launched as a sub product of the anime with the same name I did not have great expectations and I was therefore not disappointed (also I bought it in Sale). It delivers what you would expect: a funny and easy jet sky racing game with some shooting mechanics, charismatic and archetypical Waifus with impossible bodies and awesome Japanese voice acting (Lynn!) The usage of the unity engine is superb on the Waifus, they look way better than on the Senran Kagura series and the circuits are full of vivid colours. On the negative side there are some V-sync issues, low res textures and the velocity sensation could be better. The number of circuits and their variations are sufficient, also the different story arcs are ok although I missed more anime fragments (only the intro). I see 2 main issues with this game, the first is small: the fanservice level is quite disappointing in comparison with the Senran Kagura franchise and the anime itself. Replacing the clothing destruction system with energy shields makes no sense lore wise and feels really strange. No idea if this has something to do with the shameful Sony's censorship. The second one is more serious as it affects the gameplay, the difficulty level is too low making the shooting mechanics almost useless as you will almost not see your rivals during the 95% of the races. On a brawler like a Senran overall difficulty it's not so important as you can still use all your movements/combos/specials but on a race it's really different I strongly recommend to not upgrade your jet ski at all until you reach a peak of difficulty in which you can not progress anymore and only then spend your credits on improvements. otherwise you're only going to see your opponents on the cutscenes. I nevertheless recommend this game, it's very enjoyable has really funny moments and it's quite relaxing (also has a very easy plat).

The gameplay is solid and the turn based battles combined with free movement is also fun to play and not so frustrating as an X-Com could be. The only bad thing are the boss encounters in which is about to cheese them or be cheesed by them, more like a puzzle than a real strategy game. From foggy graveyards to scary crop fields or medieval castles, every scenario is full of details and HD textures. The OST is as good as the original, you will instantaneously love it if you like Danny Elfman's work . The clear drawbacks on this title are his clunky PS1 controls and his horrible camera system, that will cost you more life bottles and game overs than the enemies. I can more or less understand that they have not included a "Z targeting" system to be true to the original and have the funny "smash square while running " combats but why on earth keep the fix camera that make the slippery platforms almost a souls-like? This game has everything I can ask for on a remake, a huge graphical improvement using the Mafia III engine, a newly recorded OST and a tremendous voice acting and motion capture recast. I also liked the shooting sections and the driving Physics of the old timers that somehow felt like GTAIV. The story is really good describing with a serious tone the rise of a former cabby in a 1930 mob's family in the fictitious city of Lost Heaven. All the clichés you can expect from a mob film are present and all of them work with well written dialogs spoken with dead eyes inside cigarette smoke clouds. A thing to point out is that Mafia is NOT a sandbox, it's a story driven third person shooter with driving sections inside a carefully crafted 1930's big city. You can drive inside missions but the city is not an open sandbox city, instead you can access it via free roam on the menu to collect the very interesting real pulp magazine while enjoying the radio stations. I would recommend to limit the HUD to the minimum via settings to have a more "realistic" feeling without the icons on the screen. The difficulty level by default is quite easy and the classic level it's much more enjoyable, although the infamous race will make you sweat and swear a lot. If you like this rare noir/mob games (L.A Noir, the Saboteur, Blacksad, etc), mafia definitive it's a must play.

The Outer worlds is the result of mixing Fallout with Mass Effect having 1 third of the budget and four times the wokeism. To be honest I expected more from Obsidian, the Halcyon colony is full of vivid colours and beautiful skyboxes but populated with too repetitive and too stupid enemies and way too ugly people, special mention to the female NPCs with Morrowind faces. The almost complete lack of music while exploring the poorly designed outdoors levels with repeated assets also does not help. The ship's crew consists of 6 non romanceable clichés where the only remarkable thing is their voice acting, Ashly Burch awesome as always. They never appear to be "real", chilling in the ship in full armour, being teleported into elevators and being ethereal to avoid collision with you. The difficulty in Normal is non existing, I died only twice (during the first 2 hours) and finished the game with 213 heal items. Supernova it's way more interesting but has some limitations that will be hard to accept for most of the players. Story wise, it's just ok, there are some interesting missions and decisions to take that will influence the different factions, it's also full with dialogs with acid humour and anti corporation sentiments (something weird from a company owned by Microsoft). On the negative part, none of the characters/situations are remarkable (as they were for example in fallout NW) and doing 20 errands to prepare an interracial lesbian date between two chief engineers is not my idea of having space adventures. I think this game has a lot of wasted potential and maybe with more resources and less SJW content could become a great franchise.

This Sega's strategic game it's simply a masterpiece, originally released on 2008 and remastered for PS4 at 1080p/60 fps. The gameplay has interesting mechanics combining turn base strategy with manual control of the units to get more attached to them. You can also level up your units on a RPG system and buy them better equipment. Every member of your squad has also his pros and cons. Story wise this game is more "local" than for example the 4th entry of the saga, fighting exclusively on your homeland to defend it from an Empires' invasion and uses static dialogs and cinematics that resemble an Anime made with the game engine. The lore is really interesting emulating a 2th world war on a fictional and more medievalish Europa with some serious topics like political alliances and racial cleansing. I also really liked the characters, specially Alicia a strong resourceful, brave woman that it's also sweet and feminine, IMO "modern" screenwriters could learn a lot about her and how to write female chars. Graphically it looks less blurry than the original and the CANVAS engine still looks good, the only negative point is that the static background art images look aliased and weird on 4K screens. It includes also all the DLC's and they are a fine add on as you can unlock powerful weapons for the main game and put yourself on the role of an imperial soldier under the command of Selvaria (an interesting enemy commander) humanizing the imperial army. On the negative side I think that the rank system to reward you after a mission is broken as it only considers how many turns you needed to complete a level pushing you to do some "suicidal runs" to get the best ranks In summary, one of the best strategy games you can play on a PS4, For Gallia!!

I enjoyed a lot SCII and SCII and I have to say that as a "casual fighting gamer" that is not interested on being an EVO top player or escalate on online rankings this game was great. The characters of the roster have a lot of charisma (Grøh being the exception) and it's worth noticing that the awesome feminine warriors have not lost any of their legendary appealing. Regarding the offline content (the one that really matters to me) it's enough to keep you interested for around 20 hrs between the libra of souls, arcade and soul chronicle modes. It's true that the soul chronicle shows it's little budget with static pictures of the warriors, endless blocks of text that I doubt anyone has ever read and an almost passive IA but it's appropriate to practice. The libra of souls is where you will expend more of your offline playing time and it's very interesting with a kind of RPG in which you take your own creation from editor and battle hundreds of fights, most of them quite easy but also with some difficult ones due the wining conditions or level difference. Regarding the online, nowadays there are not a lot of active players and most of them are hardcore players that will wipe out the ring with your character if you are a rookie. Most of the remaining community is on the ranked matches and the casual mode is quite dead (although still enough to get the related trophies if you have some skills). Regarding DLCs for me they are not worth it for offline players unless you are a fan of them because they poorly integrate with the offline content (I do not remember fighting 2B in any of the offline modes even though I bough her and I finished every single of them). In summary if you liked this franchise in the past and are not interested in the online, this game is very recommended, specially if you find it on sale.

Astonishingly beautiful and artistically flawless, Gris deserves to be played and enjoyed. It's true that sometimes the level design is a bit confusing, also that there are some problems differentiating between background and playable elements and that can cause you to fail some jumps and have to repeat sections but there are only minor issues. The hidden true ending is also worth to watch as it makes the whole game story come to a sense.

A bunch of high school shinobi girls with impossible bodies dragged into another dimension that looks like a paradisiac island just to fight in a festival? You can count me in! This is my first approach to the Senran Kagura franchise and I really liked it. The 3D brawler combat system works very well and the numerous characters with their transformations have different combat styles. You can customize the 28 playable shinobis clothes and configure if you want to have clothing destruction or not. Content wise there are a ton of missions although they are basically the same. The story although silly and full of much appreciated fan service also deals with more serious concepts like the grief about losing a loved one and the sense of Duty. Graphically the game looks very appealing thanks to the shinobis designs, the cell shading and vivid colours and only some strange sliding movement effect on the "minions" enemies spoils the overall good looking game. I recommend to play the mission on Normal and not on Easy (the default and suggested difficulty) to avoid just smashing square and have more interesting combats. The JPop OST, the anime intro sequence and the Japanese voice acting are superb. If you want an old school brawler to shut your brain off and just enjoy playing, this game is for you, it delivers what it promises and that is more than other more modern and expensive games do.

The story mode it's too short and the level design is confusing due how hard is too differentiate the heights due the bad unity engine usage. Also the infinite spawn points of enemies destroys every sense of logic and makes levels boring due the trial and error mechanic and continuous deaths (only the 3,8% of the players have finished the game on normal). On the other hand the music is really good and the ending JPop theme performed by Hitomi Harada is awesome, also you can play the complete campaign couch potato coop which makes it much better. The story itself it's nothing special but the cartoonish kawaii bombermen designs are very nice. The offline player/s vs CPU mode is more enjoyable, the CPU AI is quite competent and you have a ton of well known PlayStation characters and levels to unlock. I paid 6 euros for it and I don't regret it but the release full price was way too expensive for this game.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Sleeping dogs it’s an old school sandbox that reminds me a lot of GTA IV with its huge city, rainy nights and dark tone but with a much better combat system. It also has an interesting Story with the dichotomy between being a cop and a triad member and has some unexpected twists. I liked how the collectibles work (with real rewards like getting more health or unlocking new combat moves), also the RPG component with different skill trees is well implemented. Graphically you can see that it's clearly a PS3 game, the textures are poor, it has some visual glitches and the characters have a plastic shiny skin but at the same time there are moments in which it looks great, specially during the nights or in the facial expressions. The OST is really fitting with techno ethnic music remixed and also artist like Siouxsie and the Banshees, Opeth, Trivium and 80's great hits in the karaoke mini-game. I really enjoyed the chases through Hongkongese crowded markets, Kung fu fights in back alleys and slow motion shootings. If you do not mind the graphics and an old fashioned secondary mission system you will find a pretty solid sandbox here.

I would only recommend this RPG to a hardcore fan of text driven video games or to somebody who wants to read a novel about the Ninth world. The game is really dull, lacks combats and the super long wall of text that you have to continuously read (even during the most important parts of the game, the meres) explains one of the lowest completion rates that I have ever seen on PS4 (only 5,5%). The art is horrible with ugly party character portraits and NPC designs with vivid colours but no detail, no customization possibility at all for your main character (not even the portrait which makes no sense lore wise) and lacking NPC portraits and voice acting on the conversations. There is also no romance possibility because the game tries too hard to be "deep". Also non of the companions except for one has any charisma. The combats are few, I had none during my first 13 hrs of gameplay, and except one (and it's not the final boss) they are not challenging. Regarding to the main story, it's interesting but too overcomplicated with strange words and constant use of "intelligent" concepts to look mature, kind of "contraption of multiple mind reflections in a shared demi-god conscience". Also there are some odd references to non binary/gender fluid topics. The only thing that impressed me was the locations designs, they are colourful and full of details with a very interesting and original one (the bloom). I bought the day one edition for 7 bucks and it took me around 40 hrs to complete the game so in that sense it was worth it but it's an extreme game only suited for a microscopic scope of gamers.

The release of this game was a complete mess (crashes, unobtainable trophies, sound issues, corrupted saves,..) and I can fully understand the negative reviews back then. Thanks to the continuous patches the game is currently playable and all critical issues are solved, version 1.06 in Ps4. Nevertheless the game is still very poor technically showing one of the worse uses of the unity engine with some PS1 textures and having a "Grim fandango" tank control. On the other side if you like film Noir and an adult compelling story that will keep you interested till the end this game is a must. Beside the technical issues the game adapts very well the awarded Spanish comic into the video game language with and incredible cinematography. It has also a perfectly fitting jazz OST. If you like graphic adventures in general or the Telltale games, give it a try, with it's current price this game will not disappoint you.

The small French studio Pastagames did a good job bringing back Pang, it's still very funny to play, specially in couch potato coop. The new additions like lightning/lava/armoured balls and the new weapons are interesting. On the negative side the boss fights are either too many or too uninspired, except for the final boss and once the campaign is finished (and it's not very long) there is nothing much to do unless you are a hardcore arcade gamer and enjoy the insane challenge of the two extra modes.

The story it's a charming classic Tale that fits very well the game's atmosphere. I wish other games that strive so hard to present new gaming mechanics could be as enjoyable as this game is.

After a ton of hours and finally have beaten the past with one char I wanted to review this incredibly fun pixel art roguelite indie game. The enormous amount of different weapons that requires different combat styles combined with the randomness of the "gungeons" plus the bosses and weird hidden characters makes one of the best roguelite games since Binding of isaac. It can also be played on coop couch potato what adds even more fun to the mix. As a negative aspect the item/munition drop rate and it's quality could be really unfair destroying a lot of potentially good runs and dooming your poor char to an unavoidable death. It has also an almost endless content, specially the version with all DLCs. If you give it an opportunity you will end suffering the "only one last run more" syndrome and visiting the wiki a lot.

Together with TWD it's one of the best Telltale's games (and I have completed at least 7 of them). They achieved something really impressive with this noir graphic adventure full with violence, mystery, cigarette smoke, strip clubs and fairy tales characters. The narrative is superb, the characters are well written and the story is compelling. Also the voice acting is really good. On the negative side, your choices do not really matter a lot (like in every Telltale game). After finishing the story I am seriously thinking about buying the original comics.

Crypt of The Necrodancer it's a very original 16 Bit style rhythm based Roguelite. Even being much simpler and limited that "Binding of Issac" or "Enter the Gungeon" regarding mechanics, amount of items, level layout randomness and overall replayability it's very fun to play and has a really good soundtrack. The learning curve is steep and has some weird design decisions, like introducing a new mechanic just to beat the final boss. As an additional positive point It also allows couch potato playing and that's always good.

As a fan of TWD universe I wanted to play this game since a long time but I have also completed a lot of Telltale games so I kept my expectations low after being disappointed in the majority of their titles. Michonne is a super short 3 episodes long spin off of TWD in which we control Michonne recovering from a trauma while slaying walkers with cool QTE scenes and taking some decisions that will affect some NPCs. The gore level and the atmosphere are really good. Special mention to the opening theme composed and performed by the rock band Dorothy because it's awesome. On the negative side, the decisions and character writing are between poor and mediocre. Also after the bankruptcy and dead of Telltale the servers are down and you can not compare your decisions with other players. If you like TWD, do not dislike other teltallte games and you see Michonne with an aggressive discount give it a try, it will not change your life but it's enjoyable.

This game went totally under my radar as during it's release I bought and enjoyed A.C Unity (after tons of patches) Rogue it's a very formulaic A.C, massively recycling assets of Black Flag regarding naval fights and combat but offering an interesting history as you play as a Templar. The nature and landscapes of North Atlantic are harder and wilder fitting the nature of the main character. Story wise is quite good but short. Thank God the present sequences are even shorter where you act as technician fixing some servers while solving some puzzles. Apart for the main story the most interesting part is upgrading the Morrigan and conquering the different territories on the map, filled with a ton of collectibles. The "remaster" itself it's kind of disappointing, it does not reach the 60fps even in PS4 Pro and has some of the bugs regarding trophies that the original had, so 0 effort on this side by Ubi.

A new Trine it's always a reason to celebrate, especially if you have played and enjoyed the previous ones as I did and was worried about the franchise due the "fiasco" of the third part. Trine 4 reverts the aspects that did not work well on the last one, basically the 3D and the duration and offers a really enjoyable 2D game full with incredibly charming landscapes and puzzles while keeping the coach potato coop mode, that personally it's what I most like about the franchise. The only negative aspects that I found was the combat, in which the wizard is almost useless, the story (too much pursuing of the prince) and some abilities like the bouncing ball that I found no use for them. Nevertheless it's an awesome game and I just hope there will be many more.

Hellblade is a strange game. Some of the key points like atmosphere, Senua facial movements and voice acting are superb, but others like combat, puzzles and rhythm are just barely acceptable, and they are sadly the core of this videogame. Sometimes I felt like playing a walking simulator with some tiresome "find the shape" puzzles and suddenly I am in the middle of a fight against huge Northmen not remembering the combat controls as I have not used them during the last 2,5 hours. The trick of the Furies voices gets tiring fast and after 4 hours i was really annoyed about them. Also the trial and error part of escaping the labyrinth is a horrible design idea as is using real actors footage. As a summary, i would said that only the awesome acting of Melina Juergens, the graphics and the atmosphere save this game.

Played on PS4 PRO it was really a great experience. The non existing loading times + stable 60fps frame rate really improves what we had on PS3, also there are no inputs missed due performance issues which helps a lot during combats. The combat style is sublime and has a very original lore. Our main character is incredibly bewitching with one of the best designs/movement sets I have ever seen. In terms of difficulty, the game is challenging, specially during the first run on normal or in Alfheim challenges, but is fair and has a lot of replayability potential due the accessories that you can purchase and that modifies the gameplay, like the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa and that are a must for higher difficulties. The performance on PS4 PRO is really solid and the HDR patch makes it hard to forget, btw not a single bug on a 70 hr platinum playthrough. The gameplay is good, it never gets boring and the map is full with markers to discover. On the negative side, Aya, Bayek's wife, is the most unlikeable, plain and dead inside character on the franchise. The last 2 missions are just disappointing and there are also some "Ubisoft agenda" moments that are just embarrassing. Nevertheless a great game.
