Pang Adventures

Pastagames has made a great job rejuvenating an old classic game. Pang Adventures looks good, plays well and will definitely appeal to arcade lovers, especially with its coop mode.

If you enjoy a challenge and some classic old-school arcade action, you can’t go wrong with Pang Adventures. Just watch out for the bouts of imminent Rage Quit.

It's certainly worth a look if you have an old-school itch that needs scratching, and fans of the original game will be pleased with just how faithful Pastagames has been to that decades-old formula.

Pang Adventures feels good at the beginning, but once the nostalgia is gone, the game falls short on content.

Similar to the classic arcade, but worse due the changes and modifications included, that doesn't hit the balloon correctly.

This game is fun, yes, for a while in single mode. It can be enjoyed for longer in co-op, but I still would not say it would have your attention for a long time. I feel like after maybe 10 times playing it with someone, it becomes forgettable and you would delete it to make space in your library. For a retro gamer, it is nice to put this game on and think back to playing it at the arcade, but otherwise, this game is essentially here for a good time, not a long time.

When played with a friend, some of its issues become easier to overlook, but the fact still remains that those hoping for a triumphant return will be left disappointed by this rather one-dimensional arcade rehash.

Honestly, didn't think it would be that much fun. I have bought this game because I am a retro-gaming enthusiast but to be honest I was a bit skeptical about it. Pang was a good game in arcade, but it had a lot of limitations, so I was afraid to just find the same old game only with new graphics. But in the end it is a brand new game in the series and it brings much needed game elements to the series! I won't make the list here of all the new features (bosses, flame thrower, ninja stars...) check on the internet guys. What I can say it is that the graphics are great , the music reminds me of Hotline Miami, and the challenge is real. I thought I would play this game for just 2 or 3 hours, but in the end I play with my girlfriend and my friends because it is immediately understandable and fun! Finally there is a global leader-board and I now I will spend a lot of time trying to put my name among the highscores. A nice surprise this game

The small French studio Pastagames did a good job bringing back Pang, it's still very funny to play, specially in couch potato coop. The new additions like lightning/lava/armoured balls and the new weapons are interesting. On the negative side the boss fights are either too many or too uninspired, except for the final boss and once the campaign is finished (and it's not very long) there is nothing much to do unless you are a hardcore arcade gamer and enjoy the insane challenge of the two extra modes.

Revival piuttosto anonimo e inutile. Ripropone meccaniche di gioco che 25 anni prima erano divertentissime, senza praticamente innovare. Anche come design non ci siamo: piuttosto anonimo.

I pre-ordered both the PS4 and Switch physical copies of Land Adventures, thinking it was such a simple concept, that they couldn't possibly mess it up... Boy, was I wrong!! I expected so much more than this extremely boring and lazily developed game of Pang. In comparison, the SNES/SFC game, Super Pang/Super Buster Brothers, is an amazing, and well designed port. Pang Adventures is as boring as it can be. The graphics are boring and like Flash 2000 fair. The difficulty goes from a 1 to a 10 within about seven stages. It's a shame that Capcom let this great series die like this!
