Dragon Age franchise has always been an ally to every community out there, this is absolutely the best Bioware game yet.Tight combat, 0 bugs, 0 crashing, excellent dialogues, one of the BEST companions ever created, and the charming narrative old Bioware was known for. It does take a while before the game opens up into a proper RPG, but once it does, it never let go.Mass Effect clearly influence the gameplay loop with recruiting your companions, make their faction stronger, make their bond stronger, all in the hope of your companions surviving the final suicide mission of the game.Primer and Detonator combat combo was also such a joy to play and absolutely inspired from the Mass Effect series as well. It allows you to rotate your party members to make sure you bring the right combination for your own class.Narrative wise, this is absolutely the strongest Dragon Age yet. The game leans heavily on your class and background factions as an RP aspect. That made you as the player gets really involved in the dialogues as the world evolved based on who you are and who you chose to be on character's creation. Additionally, the branching dialogues based on your different class and factions made the game has a very high replayable **** might now have the same level as the ultimate RPG that is Baldur's Gate 3, but as long as you're not a smooth-brained imbecile clown who called everything they don't like "woke, this Bioware's best game yet and deserves its place in RPG pantheon up there.

This game is absolutely not ready for 1.0 release as it's still littered with bugs and questionable design decisions. Missing assets, missing textures, random crashes when loading area, randomly losing your progress because your auto-save is not working, no sound effects on tools on consoles, your characters keep getting stuck and losing the entire day progress of it.There are also a lot of game design decisions that scratches your heads as it really seems amateurish and yet these people are arrogant enough to answer users feedback with "that's intentional".I was excited when they announce that the game is finally going live but compared to other Early Access games that goes live this year, this is probably the worst of them all. Made it seems like the live release was nothing more than a cash grab instead of a passion project they keep bragging.Garbage release. Wait till the game is completely patched and deep deep sale. These people made Electronic Arts looks like a saint.

The core game of relationship building and dating sim was absolutely tainted by the dungeon crawling mechanic. Frustrating section with 0 explanations, enemy trash that somehow always able to throw around your MC with a simple attack, and garbage puzzles that serves nothing but enhance your frustration.People want to play this game for the core promised feature (the dating sim and relationship building), and just blast through the dungeon. The developers clearly did not understand this and the lack of minimap in the dungeon is mind blowing. Has potential with a surprisingly questionable game design decisions.

All the 10 you see here are all from Bethesda drones which is the sole reason this studio can still release a sub-par game with a premium price in 2023. They'll keep kneeling with their mouth open for Todd Howard and Bethesda. Todd Howard is as always, a **** liar. Some of these drones excuse was a predictable "they haven't played the game" or "these must be Sony Fanboys" on valid criticism for the state of the game in 2023. Because tthat's the only way they can justify to keep kneeling down with their mouth open for whatever Todd Howard is giving them. Nothing made a game studio looks worst than it is than Bethesda's and XBOX's rabid fanbase that are so starved of exclusive game that they are willing to **** themselves for this trash. It's Bethesda's game, with all its jankiness, incomplete features, and design decision that made you scratch your head in a 2023 AAA game. No brightness and no FOV sliders in 2023? 30 FPS menu in 2023? Absolutely lazy game design with an outdated graphic engine. Not to mention unspired story, dead eyes NPCs, and random **** of bugs that it absolutely hilarious to see people still defend it. It's funny that Larian moved Baldur's Gate III release ahead of this fearing competition when Starfield still couldn't hold a candle to the epic masterpiece in term of concurent users, sheer review score, and amount of content. That was a passion project and it showed. Baldur's Gate III animals have a better personality, animations, and emotions than your main story companions in Starfield. If this is the best XBOX can muster for their exclusives, they deserve to be dead on the water for any future console wars. Pathetic garbage ****. Do I recommend it? not on a full price. Wait for a sale and wait till modders fix this game. As always.

The ultimate Potterverse open-world RPG experience, this game just gets everything right. Great writing, extremely amazing combat, fun side activities, living breathing world and a lot of things to do to occupy your time. Not only that, the PC version was absolutely created with love. 0 issues, a full array of PC specific settings, and a fantastic integration of mouse and KB with keybindings. This game just checks all the right boxes and one if not THE best and smoothest PC launch I've had in years. Choices that don't matter, side missions from text from call, lifepath and gangs were a **** joke. No wonder they dropped the RPG and just stick to "Action-Adventure" at the 11th hours. Where are the meaningful choices? where are the story where you actually built connection to the rest of the world? how the **** are this world changes with your choices when they barely react at all. Where are the narrative flows that made Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine Game of the **** Year for multiple years?? Not even a "thank you" from the side mission NPC after you saved them?? Persona 5 will steal your heart, and it wasn't hard as you will be giving it willingly. This is the game that will redefine JRPG for years to come. I might be slightly biased on this game because I've been a Persona fan ever since it was just called Shin Megami Tensei and not widely known as Persona. But just when I thought they could not perfect the game anymore after P4 and P4 Golden, they came out swinging with P5. It's difficult to make turn based combat amazing, but P5 managed to make that a realization. One of the common complaints we had with P4 and P4G was the dungeon crawler parts could be a drag. That has been improved with P5 as well. The dungeons now are even more thematic and even more fun. The social links (they are called confidants now) are coming back in P5 and with a much bigger emphasize on it this time. Atlus has realized that the social activities and links are the major selling points for Persona games and it has been given the love and respect it deserves. An improvement from P4, your social links are actually bigger, have more impacts and you will have a bigger area of Tokyo to explore and do activities on. Old school Shin Megami Tensei fans will be happy to learn that Persona Chat feature is back in this game. If you remember, this feature has been missing since Persona 3 and I could not be happier that they're back. The entire UI and game interface felt like an experimental art by Atlus, but by god, they work wonderfully. Even the transition phase between screen has been done in such a masterful way that I can't help but smile watching them. One thing that I do have to mention that this game wears its Japanese culture proudly. They are still a very conservative country that still mocks homosexuality and other things that they feel outside of the norm. The best part? Persona doesn't feel like they need to change that just to suit the justice warriors of the west. So, if you are easily offended by things that actually wasn't real (a.k.a this game), skip it. Even the game disclaimer will mock you about it. This is a game that was not afraid to push the boundaries of what the soft western society will view as unacceptable. Trust me, this game will drag you through the depth of human's darkness and deepest desire while you're kicking and screaming. Again, if you're too sensitive for those things like most are these days, skip it. Persona will not change to suits your new western standard. Persona 5 will do to JRPG what The Witcher 3 did with open world RPG, redefines the genre and set a new gold standard on it. If you're an old Persona players, or even just started with P4 or P4G, this game is absolutely a must buy. Everything that we loved about P4 has been improved and everything that we hated has either been reworked or removed. If you're new to Persona or even a JRPG in general, there's no better game to get your hand on. Well done, Atlus.

Far from a flawless game, but definitely a strong contender in an open world RPG. It is especially even more impressive considering that this was Guerilla Games first attempt at an Open World RPG game. Beautiful graphic, captivating story, unique gameplay (I absolutely loved that they managed to combine both futuristic and ancient tribal theme without too much of a clash with each other), and the main protagonist that you will undoubtedly care about. The Witcher 3 influence is pretty apparent in this game as they also managed to make every single side-quest a self-containing story. You actually care about the side quest as much as you cared about the main story. The gameplay is amazing. I love the whole machine parts hunting and that you have different ways or methods to kill a machine. The game encourages you to be creative with your hunt by giving you a wide array of tools and abilities to hunt down a machine. Furthermore, your focus (HZD version of a WItcher's Sense) allows you to identify a machine weak point. Which can further be broken down based on what kind of elemental arrows/ammo you are using. It has depth without being too cumbersome, and it definitely works for the setting. Just wait till you get the feeling of taking down your first Thundermaw ever. Voice acting was excellent, music was great (the world felt alive because of it) with an excellent fade in and out between a calming music in town, and adrenaline pumping one during a boss fight. It does suffer from any other open world RPG though, in which the map can be littered with icons and activities that can feel overwhelming. However, if you're getting an open-world RPG game, you should know what you're into. And like The Witcher 3, HZD managed to make those side activities interesting enough that you actually want to do them. This is a definite buy. There is more than enough content in this game to last you for a while, and if you missed The Witcher 3 after completing that game, this is a strong replacement for the genre. Way better than that mass-effect wannabe game we shouldn't talk about. It's a no-contest.

Let me preface this by saying: In an era where we were graced by the quality level of GTA V and The Witcher 3, in what way is this level of quality release is acceptable? If you're an old-school Mass Effect fan (like I am), feel free to skip this one - or get it once it's heavily discounted with all DLCs included. There is nothing Mass Effect about this except in name and the "sci-fi" theme. You lost control over your squad, you lost squad customization, you lost paused strategy, and you lost having all your abilities instead of just 3 loadouts per combat. Furthermore, this is not a Mass Effect story you'd love and respect. Facial animation and all the other glitches are one thing, the simple fact that you simply couldn't care less to the two main protagonists (because they're as bland as a sack of potato) is another. Unlike Shephard, the game removes majority of you meaningful interaction and decision by removing the Paragon/Renegade option. All four options of your dialogue wheels pretty much saying the same thing with a different intonation or sentence structure. If the original Mass Effect trilogy is an epic full-length premium cinema, this is their direct-to-DVD spin off. If this is your first RPG however, and you never played Mass Effect before. Go for it. You have no greatness to base on, and the simplified RPG system of this game will serve you well as a training wheel of such genre going forward. Not to mention there will be more than enough flashy combats to keep your attention glued to the screen before you can repeatedly press skip on the next conversation. TL;DR, if you're a Mass Effect fan, let the taste of that great masterpiece fade with Shepard instead of being marred by this new release. If you're new to the genre, the franchise, or just looking for a mediocre cover-based shooter masqueraded as a Fischer-Price RPG. This is for you. In the era where we seen The Witcher 3, GTA V, and Horizon Zero Dawn, in what way this garbage release is deemed acceptable?

Remember when they said they wanted to make a game that rivals "The Witcher 3"? Kinda made you wonder if they were saying that ironically because at this point they are not even playing in the same league anymore. The best part about one of the high scoring reviews on this site was and I quote "Bioware was never known for their strong dialogue". HAH! Breathtakingly complex...this game can not be more perfect even if the gods themselves crafted it. I've been playing video games for around 18 years now and all this time has left me jaded towards the medium. I've found it increasingly harder to find games that can capture my enjoyment and provide me an awe inspiring experience that can take me away from the real world like when I was younger. Nier Automata is one of those rare gems in gaming that brings me back to why I fell in love with the medium in the first place. Nier is the only game since the Witcher 3 that had me blink and 10 hours had passed without my noticing. Yoko Taro and his team have created a masterpiece that nobody should miss. I will start by saying that I haven't played a Yoko Taro directed game before, but I have heard a lot of great things about his weird world that he has created that links between multiple games and franchises (Nier/Drakengard respectively) so I was really excited when I heard that Square decided to give him a good budget and a very well known studio for their character action games (Platinum) to make a sequel to the original Nier from the previous generation. So without any doubt and after hearing that it got a PC release I instantly purchased it, because I was fascinated by what Yoko Taro could do. And what a fantastic job he and his team at Platinum Games have done. A game that shouldn't be passed on by ANYONE, because it does something that I, personally, haven't encountered in a game before (which I won't spoil here, because you HAVE TO experience it yourself). Imagine a Platinum game that has exquisite combat, a director that is so masterful in how he presents the story giving small information and tidbits as you go along and a soundrack by a composer that is well known (Keiichi Okabe) that you take a few moments from playing the game just to listen to the ****'s THAT GOOD. I won't go much into the story of the game, because it's very easy to spoil, but the story and overarching plot is so well done and it makes you question a lot of things about humanity, emotions, life itself and many other things. This has been an eye opening experience that I will never forget. From the amazing soundtrack by Keiichi Okabe to the wonderful directing and story by Yoko Taro and the combat by Platinum games..they all mesh together to create one of the best Action RPG's that I have ever played. Yes, the fetch quests can be tedious and grinding can be a pain at times to achieve everything this game has to offer, but I did not waver and was fascinated by this world. I will now post a quote from Jim Sterling's review that resonated with me so much that I cannot state it better as an ending to this lenghty review: "Nier itself is important. It is, as far as I’m concerned, historically significant in terms of its design and the way in which it uses the framework of a videogame to tell an evolving story. If I had my way, every budding game developer would play this game to the point of acquiring endings A, B, C, D, and E before acquiescing to its final and alarmingly direct request. Few games are able to showcase the power of the medium like Nier: Automata. If history forgets this game, then **** history."

Yes! The closest you'll get to the monster hunter franchise within PS4 and PC realm. This is Toukiden 1 on steroid. Faster combats, new weapons set, and a new demon claw feature that is just absolutely a delight to play with. Definitely a stark improvement from the first one. Better yet, it's better animated and voice acted than Mass Effect Andromeda, this is a buy. Especially if you've been hungry for a Monster Hunter game on PC or PS4. Thanks Koei!

I was skeptical due to my slightly less than favourable experience with the first one, but I had some leftover cash in my Steam wallet and decided to give it a shot. Hell, I was surprisingly enchanted by the game. In a myriad of game titles that was released as a garbage port in PC, Watch_Dogs 2 improvement was pretty apparent. PC only features, multiple graphical settings, and a constant 60+ FPS even on the highest setting. Ubisoft has clearly learned from their mistake on the first title and has given the treatment and care their PC crowd wanted. The game itself was alright. Marcus Holloway is a completely different opposite than Aiden Pierce in character, story, and the way they approach their problems. In a way, these fits nicely as WD2 was a cheerier version of WD. When Aiden was dealing with grief and loss, Marcus and his colorful crew was just trying to fight the big brothers. Cliche sure? doesn't make it any less interesting. Not to mention Ubisoft finally managed to gather together a crew you get attached with. I mean sure, all of them are to the extreme spectrum of comical, but you couldn't help to think if that was indeed how the younger generation in San Francisco reacts. In fact, they managed to make the dialogues interesting that I couldn't help and laugh with their interactions. One last thing to touch is the gameplay. There are improvements and there are a step backwards. For once, Marcus's hack power is less powerful and sophisticated than Aiden. Most of the time, you have to accomplish your mission via stealth as Marcus could not as much punishment as Aiden could. This fits the them as while Aiden was a highly trained Fixer, Marcus was simply a 22 years old kid with an above average athletic ability. Furthermore, while Aiden's hack power bend the Chicago CTOS to his will, Marcus' power lies more in his ability to create distraction and move between walls with his new NetHack power. They both have their own strength and weaknesses, but I do think Aiden is a better hacker in gameplay especially during car chase and escape. Speaking of car chase, I feel like driving is worst in the second one as I found it harder to escape from chase like I did with Aiden. Maybe that also due to the fact that Aiden was highly trained. I enjoyed the game, but you might wanna wait till a sale unless you really really loved the first Watch_Dogs. It's a great game. Was it a perfect game? far from it. Did I had fun with it? Absolutely. That'll do Ubisoft, that'll do.

This is the Final Fantasy game that was created to attract new fans to the series, not satisfied their old long-standing fans. Frankly, if you're an old-school fan who is still trying to stay loyal to the title after the fiasco that was FFXIII, this your other chance to walk away. Square clearly gives no **** to the title anymore and it shows on how poorly designed this new game is. This is a Final Fantasy in name only and that was it. I predicted another FFXIII flop with this title, and as much as it pained to admit, it is another FFXIII flop. I guess that's what happened when you only care about money. Short campaign, bland characters and story, lack customization, you name it. If you're a new fan who is easily amused by the shiny graphic, go for it. Otherwise, skip the title or wait for a sale. Better yet, get The Witcher 3 complete edition as it was on sale recently. That would have been a better use of your cash.

Let me preface this as a long time fan of the Star Ocean series and JRPG in general - which means I'm used to whatever spectacle any JRPG titles is going to throw my way, grinding, impossible boss fight, you name it). You know you messed up this series when you introduce space travel in the last 30% of your game, when the game itself was about space travel in the first place. 8 hours in, and the first thing I have to say is this: Activate the Japanese voice actors right away because whoever is doing the North American VA apparently has lost their souls. This does not help the fact that the first two heroes in the game (Miki and Fidel) are as bland as a sack of potato. Previous gen graphic, mediocre combat, soulless acting, average story, empty map and a lot of pointless travelling that falsely pushed this game for 20 hours+ of game play. This game feels like they had a lot of experimental ideas but felt rushed to completion without properly fulfilling those ideas. What a shame because it could have been great. As a fan of previous Star Ocean series, I had high hopes for this. But this is a swing and a miss, wait for a sale.

Blood and Wine is an amazing conclusion to the epic magnum opus that was The Witcher 3. As always, CDPR nailed every single features of the game with an almost supernatural perfection. Some studios cut of their core game and sells them as DLC. CDPR created a complete game with blood and wine and called it a DLC. It was a perfect swan song to Geralt of Rivia.

That's as high as this chart can go unfortunately. The Witcher 3 is a magnum opus. It was a monumental achievement of staggeringly aching beauty, the Witcher III stands proudly as the greatest video game of all time, regardless of genre. Geralt’s final, epic ride, is the high water-mark by which all future games will be judged and found lacking. Indeed, it’s only disadvantage is that it completely ruins every other title on the market right now by nailing every single aspect of game design with almost supernatural clarity and perfection. You do not play as a messiah, the chosen one, the hero, instead, you're living the world through the eye of Geralt of Rivia. A character who has been shaped by multiple stories and events. Playing as a character however, oddly made you pay attention more to your surroundings. I care deeply about the rich cast of supporting characters of the game that I can tell you in details on why Nilfgaard Empire advanced towards Temeria in the first place. I can show you exactly why Vernon Roche insisted on leading the guerrilla fighters and ended up turning against his own King Radovid to save Temeria. It's a complex entangled world that you can't help to be immersed and be a part of as you go through your journey in this title.
