Dragon's Dogma 210

I loved the game! It's a game about exploration. About running around, exploring every corner of the map, finding caves, treasures, and fighting monsters. You do a lot of walking/running around, but that's totally fine, and fun!
Fast travel is something that needs to be earned at first, but you later on can fast travel pretty much anywhere you like.
I thought all of the vocations are fun to play, every one is different and has its own advantages, etc. There's something for everyone. The graphics are stunning, the gameplay is just as fun as in the first game, and it's a game one can replay over and over, sort of like Monster Hunter World, because as long as you enjoy the combat in this game, it never really stops being fun!

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak9
Nov 19, 2022
I liked the base Rise on PC, but it felt too short and lacked any kind of end-game content. Sunbreak added a lot of stuff that you can put dozens of more hours into, including an investigation system, follower quests where you team up with NPCs, and a brand-new gear augmentation system that requires farming. There's also new monsters, and an all new rank - and the difficulty gets pretty close to perfect! Altogether, super enjoyable! If I game basic Rise a 7/10, then Sunbreak elevated it to a 9/10 just for coop fun! Story line, characters and such, i won't even include in the rating because I do not care.

God of War: Ragnarok6

I WISH I could love it. But the inconsistent quality in animation, quest design, and writing, are just making it impossible... I loved the start, then it got quite boring and the quests very much felt like optional side quests (where it's ok if they are lower quality), but they were main story quests! Characters don't get properly animated, just stand around awkwardly like they are rag dolls, and it kills immersion. I also hated that there were hidden loading times, despite playing on PS5 - all thanks to the game coming out on PS4 as well. What a waste! The ending of the game however really shocked me. It feels like it was completed in a rush, and so many questions are left unanswered! Feels like this is part 2 of 3, but they already said there will not be a part 3... I am so disappointed!

Elden Ring10

What an experience! I expected much, but got even more than I could ever hope for. The world of Elden Ring is simply beautiful - it's harsh and unforgiving, but exploring it is the most fun I've had in months. Is it perfect? No, but nothing really is. The things that I would improve are very minor things like some hiccups with coop disconnects (understandable now that everyone's playing it) that I can easily overlook in favor of how amazing the music is, the graphics, the combat gameplay, the boss design, the story.......I loved every second of it!

Final Fantasy VII Remake8

This game does mostly everything right! Of course the graphics are great, voice acting (Japanese) is perfect, the music is mostly good (everything that was orchestrated is fine, the additional versions of music in weird styles like techno and country I can do without) and the characters are exactly like I always knew them from the original. The story is good so far - close to the original, except the ending, which is a bid off and feels tacked on. But still, I really enjoyed this game so far and hope the future remake parts will do the original justice! I do NOT like the 'whispers' or the third-wall-breaking that happens with them sometimes, I think if they wanna make it clear to the player that there might be big changes in the future games, they could have done that better.

The Last of Us Part II10

Absolutely NOT a waste of money! If you are still undecided, don't listen to these kids who are either too dumb to understand the game, didn't understand/play the first one either, and/or are trans-phobic and hating the whole game because of a minor character who is trans, which is mentioned once for like 10 seconds and that is it. This game was simply amazing, and I am still in awe at how good the story was! The characters are perfect - there's some shocking moments that made me speechless, and everything's so well done! Graphics are the best I've seen, music and sound are mindbogglingly good. Seriously, I loved the first, now I love this part even more! This game clearly has a message: revenge is bad. It will consume you and ruin your life. Be the better, stronger person, and stop the cycle of revenge!

A great start into a new trilogy (I hope?)! I love the new setting, the BOY, and old Kratos, and am a big fan of how exactly they explained it all so it made sense with the first trilogy. Graphics are great, music is top notch, the gameplay is fun, story is intriguing... the only thing I think isn't quite there yet are the boss battles. There were only basically like 3 boss battles, only one against a big monster, and that felt very "tame" compared to what Kratos did in the past games. However, I do think that a slow start is better for the story here. It would not make sense for Kratos to go kill 37627 Gods right away when he clearly wants nothing to do with that anymore. Here's to hoping that the 2nd and 3rd installments will get much, much bigger in scale, closer to the originals.

Death Stranding10
Nov 24, 2019
Please ignore the 0 point troll reviews - none of those people played the game, I guarantee it. Kojima has a group of haters out there who made it their mission to complain about him and anything he makes, no matter what. They are unreasonable, petty little kids, so don't pay them any mind. I just finished Death Stranding after about 120 hours of playing, and it was an amazing experience. The story was absolutely mindblowing, told with superb acting and motion capture, in perfect looking cut scenes. The gameplay was absolutely immersive and fun, I loved just walking around and taking in the scenery, meeting NPCs along the way, listening to music, even the horror-like scenes when I came to close to BTs (truly scary). I find no flaws with this game, other than it's "hater-base".
