The Golf Club 29
Mar 26, 2019
This just might be the best sports simulator I have played, any category. Endless replayability through user created content and options for your look, clothes and golf bag. A good though somewhat limited solo career mode as well as online societies are a blast. The game urges you to play different courses in different manners to earn more ingame money through various course challenges. Then to top it off there is another game in the game. A course creator that allows you to create your own golf course, with little or endless detail.

A fun little turn-based strategy game that kept me entertained for quite a few days.

Tennis World Tour7

Finally a tennis game for PS4. Does this feel like a complete game, no. Does it need a number of patches, yes. Are the ground strokes there, yes. I want more of everything, but there is a basis to build on. It is a solid first try and could be a great game given time and resources. Lots of them.

First day buy. Having a great time with my five year old. Excellent for two players with split screen. Humor great game play. Big Lego fans as you would expect.

Something of a letdown, but most of the criticism seems a bit harsh. The "solo career mode" in this game is the hunt for the platinum trophy. This is an online game and given the reviews and responses that online aspect may well soon dry up. What is then left? Might be worth getting on the cheap if they release some decent additional DLC soon.

This game will be and needs to be compared to Dirt Rally. Both are 90% rally driving with a little extra thrown in on the side. This game is far easier which will invite more gamers in but this means that the game's life will be shorter. If you have played Dirt Rally you might want to skip this game, if you have played neither, start here.

F1 20169
May 14, 2017
Relatively late to the game. Was brought back into F1 after the exciting end to last year and the competitive start to this year. The game is the best F1 game i have ever played. The various difficulty levels really lets you grow into the game and even the practice sessions are fun and meaningful. Halfway through the first career season and I see this aspect of the game perhaps being a bit ****, but I guess it should be.

It's not a big game. But it is an interesting game, something of an embryo. I believe the future of this type of hybrid between a movie and a game is the way of the future. It deserves a second look

This War of Mine8

Scratches and itch that no other game does. It is bleak and dreary. And it should be. It is a bit of a board-game in video-game format, in the most positive sense.

This is a little marvel. I absolutely love how cute this game is. Yet it is challenging. Feels very polished and does what it sets out do to. I'd love to see a follow-up.

Layers of Fear (2015)3

Took me ages before I bought this, and I got it cheap. The only reason why I don't give this an even lower grade. Huge disappointment. My lowest rated game so far. Full of horror cliches and seemingly little to do that affects the outcome of the game. Bizarre game-play.

One of my first PS4 games, and boy did I get hooked. Some great acting and memorable moments. I would like to see more games following this formula. I felt like most of the decision REALLY mattered to the outcome of the game. There is a great combination of thinking quick and thinking ahead.

I did like this game, but it was not enough ****. Felt like 1/3 ****. Interesting idea that could have been done better. Both the start and the end were satisfactory though, worth playing all the way through which is why I give it a 6.

I should have checked the Metascore on this one before I got it. A bitter disappointment, perhaps my biggest on the PS4. A not-so-good version of The Last of Us. Just didn't seem to be an interesting story there.

Having superpowers in a "normal" world has never been so much fun. But about halfway through the game my interest has waned slightly. The story is not inspired enough to make this an outstanding game.

Ever wanted to get a wife or a girlfriend into gaming. This might just be the way. Thoroughly engaging writing and a unique heroine that feels more human than anything I've seen in gaming.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End10

A very fitting finale to a great overall story arc. This is a top three game for me. One of those games that you have to play from start to end as soon as humanly possible. It is just that engaging.

DiRT Rally9

The best rally game I have played. It is very difficult but also very rewarding. Don't let this be your first foray into racing games. There are three different modes giving the game a lot of variety.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons7

Decent effort. Interesting unique take on controlling two characters at once. The story is good but the game-play, once the newness wears off is a bit too much going through the motions. It is also a relatively short game.

The Last of Us Remastered10

One of the best games I have played, the story is comparable to none. The only slight drawback is the linearity of the story, as I am a big fan of open world games. Still a must have for anyone and everyone.

Ratchet & Clank (PS4)7

A major step forwards from last year. More realistic than ever, yet it holds up a fine balance between realism and fun. Not a big fan of any of the "career" modes available. The trophies are as ridiculous as ever.

First Metacritic review. Five hours into the game. So far I am loving it, very intuitive. backstory is interesting enough to engage and make me curious for more. The introduction to the game nicely balanced between playing and watching and game play is good. The graphics are amazing. Interesting that there are three different choices of how to of communicate with others, don't know if this has a major effect on the game later. Solid, well worth the $.
