This War of Mine

For the price it is… I wouldn’t even say wait for a sale, I’d just say buy this game… it will challenge you, it will pull at your heart strings… but I think, especially in this day and age, we need games like this to remind us to care for one another and to point out what is really important.

This War of Mine makes you realise the terrible nature of war better than a thousand ad-campaigns can. Trying to survive in this surreal world is hard, and asks sacrifices you are probably not willing to take. Very impressive.

Its style and gameplay might not be the most innovative one but that isn’t even necessary to leave a lasting impression on me. In This War of Mine, none of my actions were of no consequence. After about 8 hours, my journey was finally over but I couldn’t really feel happy about it. In my thoughts, I was still pondering about all the terrible things I had to do in the game. Therefore, I can attest that the game succeeds at the task to accurately represent all of its themes. This War of Mine isn’t “fun” to play but took me on an emotional journey, like only a select few games ever managed.

The slow pace can make it less tempting to try again right away with a different tactic, but perhaps that’s for the best.

Ruthless and emotionally destabilizing, This War of Mine is the merciless portrait of what evil man is capable of causing. The conflict saw through the eyes of civilians is terrible at least as that experienced by soldiers on the fields of war.

An ambitious game about an important subject. Sadly, it gets a bit repetitive after a while. Please make an expanded sequel with more stuff to do and more ways to interact with other survivors! [Jan 2015]

I love it. If you´re able to let loose and get drawn away by the emotions this game is transporting you will have a great experience. Of course not in a good way. It is an awful expereince which can drive you crazy. Of course you won´t feel the same way you would feel in a real war but that's okay. This game will show you a site of war which is not often enough discussed in other videogames and which is right now quite important to know about. The graphical style is also quite nice and underlines the games message. It´s grey, dark and bland. The Gameplay is not balanced but quite hard (as it should be). Of course it´s still possible to survive the war. The overall design choices are very thoughtful and I never encountered a single bug. Pure 10/10. I think it was the right decision to create a small 2D-Game with tiny levels so the developers where able to focus on the gameplay and message. I hope that six days in fallujah will do as good as TWOM.

Interesting game but the development team need to add more codes to make it a bit more realistic, for example, show body armor and helmet on the character when they are equipped and fix the bugs and glitches.

Oyun çok farklı bir hayatta kalma tecrübesi sunuyor. Oyundaki karakterlerinizi iyi yönetmeniz ve zamanı iyi idare etmeniz gerekiyor. Bence oyunun en zevkli tarafı geceleri başlıyor... Oyunda geceleri karakterlerinizden biri ile yağmaya çıkıyorsunuz. Yağmada başınıza türlü türlü olaylar gelebilir. Yağma bölümlerinde zaman zaman çok fazla heyecanlandığım şeyler yaşadım, onu da söylemeliyim. Bence oyunun optimizasyonu biraz sıkıntılı. Eğer hayatta kalma türü oyunları seviyorsanız bu oyuna bir göz atın derim. Oyunun ayrıyeten farklı farklı hikaye ek paketleri de var. Bu ek paketleri ben daha oynamadım ama oyunu severseniz ek paketleri o zaman almanızı öneriyorum.

Je n’ai pas réussi à accrocher. L’ensemble ne m’a pas convaincu malgré mes efforts.

Крайне проходной проект заманивающий игроков своим сеттингом. Игра буквально на пару раз, до тех пор пока не разберешся в механике и не поймешь что это полное уныние.
