With its characters at once thin and broad; its L.A. backdrop; and its mix of existential philosophizing, social commentary and corny representations of hot-button issues, “S.W.A.T.” also recalls and has some of the appeal of Jack Webb’s classic "Dragnet," but with a more progressive outlook and a sprinkling of sex scenes.

It’s a pretty pedestrian procedural.

S.W.A.T. is an awesome show. The show keeps you on your toes. The actors are outstanding and you feel like you are there with them. I enjoy watching this show.

Ok so this show may not be high brow but when you just want simple entertainment then this is great , you can relax and just enjoy the ride , the cast have a fantastic rapport which makes this such an enjoyable watch , not everything you watch has to make you re- evaluate life sometimes you can just enjoy .

The new S.W.A.T. has become something other than a cops-versus-bad-guys drama. Now it’s an hour spent in awe of its star, Shemar Moore.

S.W.A.T. had a chance to do something different, maybe even provocative. So far, the same old-same old.

Give them credit for trying a different take on cop shows, but S.W.A.T. simply falls flat in every conceivable way.

Of course every character is a cardboard cutout of a human being. The job of the show is to solve difficult problems in an easily understood way for the masses who are otherwise cooking dinner or checking their email. Complexity and shades of gray just get in the way. It's hard for the fellas to take care of business if you muck up the lines between good and bad.

S.W.A.T, on the other hand, is nothing but action figures, and when the characters do speak, they sound so moronic you may as well watch the show with the sound off.

Just when the major networks are stepping up their game along comes S.W.A.T. Keystone cops on steroids. Great action scenes ruined by poor writing and a comical story line. Watching the team follow Shamar in unison around the hood, desperately trying to score a lead was painful. Hopefully future episodes are a little more intelligent and realistic.

I've never rated a show before but this show is so terrible I had to say, "Don't watch it!" I keep hoping that Shemar who was so sexy and good in CM would improve his performance but he hasn't. And the story lines are completely ridiculous.

S.W.A.T. is that typical series that only pursuits brainless action in order to get some changes and keep going. Just another day at the office of CBS.

I’m very disappointed in this show since I loved Shemar Moore in Criminal Minds. This is another agenda ridden cop show with mushy romance crap thrown in to ruin it even more. I especially hated the episode “Fences” shown on March 1, 2018. It showed one side being right and the other side being wrong. Make all conservatives look like idiots by showing some with guns walking up to the so called Dreamer, grabbing her and walking her to the border to throw her over. Yeah right. Whose stupid enough to do that? They keep showing stupid stuff like that? I’m done with this show
