Silo

Apple TV has never shied away from going big with its sci-fi shows, but this truly unforgettable third run proves Silo is in a league all of its own.

Silo proves once again why it’s not only Apple TV’s best shows, but also one of the best shows currently on television. Thoughtful, gripping, and beautifully made, it sets a new standard for what prestige sci-fi can be.

Season 3 feels like a critical culmination of the first two seasons in regards to what Juliette discovered in Silo 17 and what our other characters learned from the Season 2 rebellion. It's great, exciting storytelling.

Some plot twists are easy to foresee, but there are enough choices with surprising outcomes to keep Silo near the head of the Apple TV+ originals pack.

Ambitiously staged, with a central mystery that only grows more absorbing as it continues, Silo is another Apple-calyptic hit.

Shirley and Knox may take center stage, but they remain thin sketches of human beings, mainly useful as a means of advancing plot beats. For as much as the shift in focus to a collective movement diminishes such deficiencies, these shortcomings are in full force whenever we follow a character like Juliette, who fails to hold interest when she’s no longer a direct participant in the action.

Even as the characters clamber into its vaults, the sense of claustrophobia grows ever so stifling. By the end of the two launch episodes you may hanker to see the outside too.

This is the best series of the year. The acting, the story, the music, and all the secrets—it’s something truly special that many other shows are missing.

After a phenomenal first season, there’s been a significant drop in quality. Silo is still a good show, but it’s clear they’ve saved all the mystery and action for Season 3. Even Rebecca Ferguson’s presence has been reduced—what a step backward.

for english below Tolle Geschichte, guter Ton. Unfortunately, unfortunately, the image is so extremely dark that my LG OLED constantly darkens the image because he thinks it is a still image because he can not perceive any movement in the image. Even the highlights are still much too dark, too small and too rare ‍️

It's a great show up until the end of season 3 where they reveal the reason the silo's were built. I won't be watching Season 4.

(Mauro Lanari) Plato's stupid cave allegory 2,400 years later, the idea of nanotechnology as a distraction from the real planetary emergencies already underway, Howey's dystopian saga adapted about 15 years too late, dozens of episodes and subplots as filler, Ferguson increasingly acting with a clenched jaw. 3 ½
