Love, love love the positivity this show brings. Had me smiling and emotional in equal waves from start to end. The talented cast, production crew and the spirit of the original anime intact is exactly what this world needs!! Is it the perfect live action anime? No but that doesn't even matter because the entertainment just elevates above all that.

I went in with zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised. A decent anime-brought-to-live on the big screen. Well done.

horrible. the series has NOTHING like the anime, the history of how Usopp joined the straw hats crew is ALL DIFERENT. an literally MANY parts of anime are modified, what an absolut trash, hope they dont keep going with this trash series. and if they do, I hope they do it all again an be loyal to the anime. but how is it today, is a complete trash.

I had never watched the One Piece anime and honestly didn’t even know the story at all before this show. Still, I found the live action adaptation surprisingly entertaining, fun, and very well made. The production feels fresh and authentic, the cast brings a lot of energy to their roles, and the pacing makes it really easy to follow even for newcomers like me.What I liked the most is that it doesn’t feel cheap or forced like many anime adaptations often do. Instead, it captures a sense of adventure and humor that keeps you hooked episode after episode. Even without the nostalgia factor of being a longtime fan, I was completely engaged and enjoyed myself from start to **** course, hardcore fans of the manga or anime may have their own expectations, but speaking as someone who came in completely blind, this series works on its own as a highly entertaining show. It’s colorful, fast-paced, emotional in the right moments, and simply a great **** you’re like me and never got into One Piece before, don’t worry—you can still dive right into this adaptation and have a blast. It proves that live action versions can be done well when treated with care and respect.

As an one piece fan the 2023 Netflix live action.hands the best live acrion anime . Due to having the mangaka Oda involved with the production. Everyone looks and act like there character we love .is thereflaws with ? Well they CGI is somehow rought and some of character are more serious than how they portray in there anime and manga . But they still capture thr love of one peice

One Piece (2023) is great. The first 3 arcs are adapted amazingly into live-action format, the second half is less great but still super solid for a live-action adaptation of an anime

One Piece (2023) perfectly captures the essence of the manga without copy pasting the characters. An major element where most manga/anime adaptation fail. By making the characters still fun but more real, the adaptation capture there vibes without making them awkward. A brilliant adaption that succeeds in setting the tone for the rest of the series.

A great way to introduce a wider audience to the vast One Piece world. The designs and effects are goofy at times, but this works fairly well with the tone of the series. Some big moments come across as cheesy, but others hit home. Overall, the changes made from the manga to this adaptation work well for the medium.

Inevitably, this is not a perfect adaptation. There are times where the inherently rushed nature of cramming 100 chapters of story into eight hour long episodes feels overwhelmingly apparent, such as with Usopp’s diminished role in Syrup Village or Hachi’s heartbreaking absence. With that said, it really is remarkable how charming, lively, and fun the show is. The creativity on display is enough to convincingly capture the fantastical absurdity of Oda’s bustling settings and off beat character designs in a way that’s surprisingly natural. Mihawk in particular is so well realized that he may as well have leapt right out of the manga, but the casting across the board is stellar. I’ve heard some fans express distaste for the sections with Koby and Garp, but I found them both insightful for their characters and generally entertaining on their own merits. I could talk for hours about how effectively the characters are brought to life, how many Easter eggs hinting at the series’ greater lore can be found throughout, or how the new take on Buggy is somehow just as hilarious and awesome as the original, but the simple explanation for this show’s success is that the people behind it all truly cared about the source material and wanted to make the best adaptation they could. There is genuine heart behind every cast member, every writing decision, every real ship built for the show’s production. It is a remarkable success and an outlier among a sea of live action anime adaptations that failed miserably to remain afloat.

I don't like live action shows in general, it's next to impossible to replicate the feel of anime, but i stand corrected. This show is truly a remarkable achievment. While it's not perfect i think it was very well made, the plot was altered, but it was necessary due to diferent build of live action, still i think it was done in fairly well thought out manner that preserved majority of the story in a way that's coherent and makes sense. The actor performances are good too, i just hope netflix won't ruin this in season 2 like they've done with witcher for example.

No puedo subirle la nota pese a que me encanto la adaptación Live Action por el simple echo de que me pusieron a Nojiko negra y a Morgan moreno. Pido perdón pero soy ordenado.

As someone who has watched the one piece anime, they did a great job adapting what i thought was impossible. The sets for these locations look amazing and the revamp on syrup Village was heavily needed. I would love to see a continuation of this going all the way up to egghead. It’s that good.

Amazing world building. Every few episodes is a new adventure worthy of its own TV show. So many different conflicts and history to learn about in each episode.

First I thought this will be a very awkward attempt to push this franchise. But indeed they made it pretty good. There are only a few cringe moments but many good ones. But I wonder how they wanna catch up the anime, the story is just too long.

One Piece (2023) serves as an exemplary model of a well-executed adaptation. The production impresses with its stunning visuals, maintaining fidelity to the original source material while being different. The narrative intricately weaves a compelling and inspiring tale centered around the pursuit of dreams. The meticulous world-building and character arc development is a captivating experience, delivering an engaging, enjoyable, and compelling viewing experience. This adaptation seamlessly captures the essence of the original series, offering a harmonious blend of entertainment and depth. The recommendation for this adaptation is as strong as it is for the original, as both stand as commendable achievements in storytelling. On the whole, my assessment would be a commendable 9/10.

There are definitely some deviations to the original source material, including Koby having a much larger role early on, Don Krieg being a throwaway character, and Garp being more prominent early on, but Netflix's live action adaptation hits all the right notes, and is a faithful recommendation to fans of the original, but a fine starting point for newcomers. The special effects look a bit weird at times, and so many plots are combined together or trimmed down, but the changes work out well for this first season.

One Piece (2023) is an adaptation of the eponymous manga that could have been in half-tone, but is successful. Despite some lengths and a disturbing scenario fans of the manga to the many turns after episode 4 in particular. The live-action remains above all effective.

I am usually against Japanese anime and race swapping and stuff BUT I've watched this show like most people with teh curiosity to understand the hype and heck it was real!!! The show is well done and loses a bit of that oriental vibe in favour of a more western touch. Each an every actor plays their charcters in an amazing way. 1 season is approved! Now let's wait and see season 2.

I don’t mind tv shows and movies deviating from the source material, and sometimes when done correctly you have something even better. However, one piece is the perfect example of an adaptation that stays close to the original, with on the nose casting, and producing something that’s not the groundbreaking or novel, but nonetheless entertaining and fun to watch. It doesnt take many risks, and the show is not a homerun, but byplaying it safe delivers a very solid show. Wish more creators understood that sometimes staying true to the source has its rewards. Heres is hoping there is a second season.

Let's Start, shall we? I have 0% knowledge of the One Piece Anime, I have watched this entire Season which is a good sign, but I can't help but feel that it is cringe. I don't know what it is. But it feels something Like NFS Most Wanted Cutscenes but Anime. I get it, it is adapted from an anime. Just understand when I say Cringe I mean in a good sense. I think the worst part of this series is in the middle when it starts to drag just a little bit, after that, it's back. Also when the scenes are focusing on a fight then they switch to show you something else. I think it just needs a bit of focus but I understand that all of the events are happening at the same time. If you are new to One Piece and people have been recommending it to you and saying that it's amazing. Just know it's not, it's just good and different what would I give this, I think a 7 is in order, but there are themes in here that I like, Ideas that get you attached to characters and invested in their personality. Monkey D. Luffy is the first and Usopp is the least but he grows on you near the end. I'll happily watch season 2 when it drops, I am interested. Oh right, the question. Should you watch this? If you're a fan, then probably yes. If you're new, try to stick with it as much as you can the finale is good and satisfying, don't just drop it when you feel that it's not going anywhere. Alright, that's it, oh I almost forgot to mention the music is nice, maybe used in some scenes but Nice, I like the main theme, and the CGI and Practical are well used here too. Sorry if I'm being very Secretive but I'm trying not to spoil anything that's in here. OK, that's all, 7/10, watch it, it's good but stick with it if you do so.

Not my usual genre, but it's still rather good. Some of the special effects are a bit too ridiculous and most of the acting is hammy (on purpose?), but I enjoyed the entire season.

Solid art direction fails to improve upon the childish characters, story and world building that is prevalent in all iterations of One Piece. I'm struggling to figure out why this senseless and inane franchise is so popular.

The way they changed the story to fit the live action was amazing and that i think is the key to a good live action adaptation The cast was mostly spot on except a few out of place characters.
