Nobody Wants This

In every conceivable way, Season 2 put this series on track to be one of the best rom-coms in television history. It’s exactly what the world needs right now.

Despite the predictability, Nobody Wants This is a gem because it feels authentic. And that’s just one reason why we certainly want this.

And as much as the dil-do and dil-don’t jokes, text-message mishaps and overbearing parents keep the show ticking along freshly with fun, it’s the old-fashioned chemistry between Bell and Brody that will keep the audience coming back.

What follows is a well-paced, engaging season of television marred by a finale that feints toward originality but swerves. Still, there’s plenty to like.

Less memorable than its first outing, the second season of Nobody Wants This still delivers an emotionally intelligent exploration of the complexities of inter-cultural romance – and Kristen Bell and Adam Brody remain eminently charming together.

“Nobody Wants This” is a more refined version of itself in Season 2. The self in question is just fundamentally slight and not especially ambitious.

Nobody Wants This seems to think that it’s exploring the complex ins and outs of a modern relationship; really, it’s a lot of well-off people making wan jokes while gazing at their navels.

I haven't been so invested in a show like this one in a long time I have nothing bad to say about it I honestly loved and enjoyed it i would highly recommend the acting is phenomenal,story telling,plot exceptional and the cast is perfect they did an outstanding job with this show I'm on the edge of my seat for more

The series begin happily enough, but very soon gets stuck in a time warp - we're back in time when Jewish women were portrayed as princesses and Jewish men were hunting for non-Jewish partners because they were more manageable -- i.e., undemanding, rather bland in appearance and rarely intrusive. Kristin Bell is perky as the series' shiksa and adam brody is rather bland as the always-dependable Jew-boy she falls for. And had this not been the sole formulaic ingredient, okay. But add Tovah Feldshuh's aggravating Jewish mother, the assorted young Jewish women, and Timothy Simon's older brother, and the pattern is both predictable and old, old-hat. The us/them non-argument that is the core of the first season, fails to get past its own cliches and tired gags.

Wow, I live with someone who watches this and it's absolutely horrid and not funny. It's kinda sickening and thinks it's edgy...

Portrayal of Jewish women is so stereotypical and gross, especially knowing this is written by a non-Jewish, blonde girl. Ruins the otherwise solid acting and decent writing. But overall it's a somewhat generic rom-com with old school anti-semitic tropes and some egregious product placement...

Aptly named. I feel like everyone is on crazy pills. I've encountered people who watched this and then I watched it and its truly something that shouldn't have been made. Its not funny. Its not endearing. Its not interesting. There are also things I would consider as satanic undertones there as well.
