I love Ms. Marvel, I really like her, she has cosmic powers. I recommend you watch the series, it's AMAZING!

One of Marvel Studios’ recent Disney+ projects, this series has good production quality and exciting visual graphics. Ms. Marvel follows a rising trend in film using on-screen motion graphics and illustrations. For example, text messages pop up on the screen. The style is fun, but very ‘middle-school’, doodle style, and therefore caters to that younger audience. Some of the more subtle motion graphics are actually well placed - the neon signs and lights in the window of Bruno’s shop move and reflect Kamala's inner thoughts as she walks in. These details bring the classic comic look to life. The youthful audience focus might have been a mistake. Marvel Studios has a marvelous track record of producing superhero films and series for the larger fan base as their audience, not just one particular age group. The motion graphic style is deterring to older fans and causes them to not take the character or the story seriously. On the other hand, it is a fantastic representation of Kamala’s character and a great way for us to step into the world through her eyes. Kamala’s character is lovable and entertaining, she has plenty of cute mannerisms as a 14-15-year-old and brings a lot of energy to the story. But the story itself isn’t very deep and her relational conflicts with the other characters are cliche. We care particularly about Bruno, but his character seems incomplete, and his living/family situation isn’t realistic. The rest of the characters seem a bit cliche or underdeveloped, especially the new characters introduced in Pakistan. The red daggers jump into the story without any context and so we care even less about them. There seems to be too much going on… but also, not enough? The 6-part miniseries could have been much more impactful as 3 or 4 parts, which then makes it basically an extra-long movie… so that’s a dilemma. Perhaps the entertainment industry should develop or embrace a medium between a feature-length film and a miniseries… Ms. Marvel suffers from what most of Marvel Studios' Multiverse Saga projects also suffer from - over-storytelling. Ms. Marvel establishes itself solidly in the MCU with lots of references to other Marvel characters. However, it also introduces too many new concepts and a whole new dimension of characters that is simply overwhelming. So while Ms. Marvel is part of the same world, the story feels too separated and distant from the rest of the overarching story. The storyline is quite fascinating. This is the first South Asian, Pakistani superhero - and perhaps even character in general - to see such a huge platform on screen. Kamala’s family history is interwoven with the history of India, Pakistan, and the Partition that occurred just after the British Empire withdrew from India. Rooting the story in solid history made the fictional story believable and original. Overall, Ms. Marvel is not a bad series, just very middle-ground. It could easily stand on its own without being part of the Marvel Universe. I had a hard time getting excited about it, but my commitment to Marvel and the MCU drove me to watch it.

I've had mixed feelings about a lot of the MCU Disney+ series, and unfortunately that just continues here. The most enjoyable thing about Ms. Marvel was seeing the new cultural representation and a young character who felt like she loved superheroes even more than I do. And that might have been a problem, because I love superheroes a lot, and it starts to get weird and obsessive after a certain point--especially when you hit a certain age. Aside from Kamala's borderline obsession with Captain Marvel, though, my biggest complaint about the show were the superhero moments. The story just wasn't compelling or exciting, and I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe it was the stakes, maybe it was the lower budget special FX, or maybe it was the direction itself, but regardless, when your superhero's interactions with her family and friends are more entertaining than the actual superhero moments, you've got a serious problem.

And while the stakes might feel lower than your typical MCU fare, that’s part of the show’s charm. It’s not about saving the world (at least not yet); it’s about Kamala figuring out who she is, and that’s just as **** let’s talk about the representation because Ms. Marvel doesn’t shy away from celebrating Kamala’s Pakistani-American heritage. The show dives headfirst into her family’s culture, with references to everything from Zamzam soda to gossiping aunties, all while avoiding tired stereotypes. This isn’t just another superhero story—it’s a rich, layered exploration of identity, family, and heritage, and that’s what makes Ms. Marvel stand out in the crowded MCU **** of the things I loved most about this show is its heart. From Kamala’s complex relationship with her mother to the intergenerational ties that connect her to her past, Ms. Marvel is brimming with warmth and sincerity. And while there’s plenty of superhero action to be had, the show’s quieter moments—where Kamala just exists as a teenager navigating life—are some of the most compelling.Sure, some of the villains might have missed the mark (the Clandestines were a bit of a letdown, to be honest), but that doesn’t detract from the overall fun of the series. The high school drama might not be for everyone, but Ms. Marvel is a show with style, charm, and a fresh, youthful take on the MCU. It’s a joy to watch Kamala come into her own, and with the added tease of her mutant status, the future looks incredibly bright for this young hero.Bottom line? Ms. Marvel is a fresh, lighthearted series that’ll resonate with both hardcore Marvel fans and new viewers. It’s a cosmic coming-of-age story filled with family, culture, and one of the most likable leads we’ve seen in a long time.

This was truly awful. A betrayal of the source material and just not entertaining.

I really don't like wоke sjw's series. I think it is mandatory to rate such series and movies so that the creators have a better idea of the audience of superhero works.I hope Disney fails hugely with imposing their controversial values.

I loved it, it was fun, funny, family-friendly, and just unforgettable, i would highly recommend this to others!

Ms Marvel has many problems, yet thanks to the sincerity and screen power of Iman Vellani, I like the show. The show successfully promoted our new hero and her culture. Insufficient villains, not bad story, very likable new superhero.

Wasn't bad by any means and contrary to the popular opinion I didn't hate it. You are in for a fun show.

Just fantastic. Watched with teenage boy who was suspicious at first but charmed by the comicstrip effects, especially noticeable in the first few episodes. The ‘making of’ show was a real pleasure, highlighting all the joyful women of Asian heritage who’d worked to make this such a feel-good story, with superpowers descending on an ordinary girl from a Pakistani-American family.

When I found out the audience score for Metacritic I was like, WTF? Seriously. I think this series is lighthearted fun and I really like how representation was a center for this series and it's actually pretty genius. I enjoyed this series a lot.

Ms Marvel is a series that takes its place among favorable superhero series. With a teenage heroine who discovers and uses her powers. Iman Vellani plays the role of Ms Marvel to perfection. I liked the story of this series. It makes a good introduction to the Marvels, "Girls Powers", soon to be released in cinemas.

I actually liked this show. Ms marvel reminded me alot of me. I really don't understand why people hate Ms marvel so fun she's a very great addition to the mcu. The show is good. The culture war rats hate this show yet they never seen it

It was like a Disney kids Saturday morning show. That’s fine for 10 and under but you built the mcu on a little more adult friendly material. When she and captain marvel team up I don’t trust it’ll be any better. I have no problem with casting or anything like that but imo at this point in the MCU is trying to fix a bigger problem. This show **** for anyone over the age of 10. An then it somehow gets a good score on reviews? Stop. Checking boxes and make good movies/ shows.

Overall season 1 is enjoyable. The problem hear is that it feels like 2 seasons in 1 she goes on a globe trotting adventure in the the middle **** show but I like what they did with both the globe trotting and the grounded part of the show. The 6th episode is creative and fun and the 4th episode is good for different reasons. The show as a hole feels uneven and the 5th episode takes the show to places that it doesn't need to go.

To be fair I think the slow start harmed the show and I also think it could work well with improvements. I like the Khan family dynamic, actors and the show works better as sitcom. However as superhero show it is a bit boring or generic first, the story is weaker in the first half and there are some inconsistencies. Lets start at the beginning. I was surprised they chose Kamala Khan for a Marvel show. While I like her as character she has not the biggest fan base in comics but neither had the Guardians of the Galaxy so I gave the benefit of a doubt. Sadly the show did not convince most of the audience (or me completely). Like I said I would prefer it as family show aka sitcom. Here the show shines far more. The actors are excellent and I praise the whole cast. The Khan family and others are entertaining and relatable even from my different cultural background. Some issues seem to be universal. So I praise the whole cast for their performance. The story is a hit and miss. There are some things that feel a bit forced and inconsistency. It was still interesting enough to watch and it gets better in the later half. The action scenes are a bit weaker too. Especially the fight choreography is not top notch. While other say the special effects were awful I would mostly disagree. Overall this is a decent to good show I can see it being universally loved with some fixes. Beware the weaker beginning.

Nonsensical garbage. An extremely poor attempt at appropriating muslims and paki-culture with little to no concrete references to the source of Kamala's heritage/background. Marvel back at it again to make a mockery of something that the west no nothing about.

Feels like a Disney channel special. Everything is sanitized and childish, but not like in a family friendly way but in a patronizing way. But the most unforgivable part is that it's just extremely boring. Things move really slow and then when things happen, it's not that exciting. The writers clearly focused on something other than plot. Gave it 2 instead of zero because there is excellent prop, costume and VFX that sadly is wasted on one of the worst written shows I've seen, and certainly the worst one marvel has ever put out.

I played the avengers game and really grew to love Kamala Khan as a character and hero. This series helps drive that enjoyment of a character directly into the ground. Not only do they not bother following the characters origin story as true to the comics (you know, the source material that made us enjoy these characters), they don’t even give us the same villains she has. Where was Terrigen? Where was AIM?

As with all of the other shows, it starts off promising before it fumbles at the end. This however has tons of fun characters though and a fun style for Episodes 1-3 and part of 6.

This one I strongly disagree with the reader reviews. Ms. Marvel is a tv show done right, with great characterizaton and introduction of abilities. The actress playing Kamala knocked it out of the park. Great world building and brilliant soundtrack. Yes the conflict was rather tame, but sets the stage for better stories.

This show was almost good. I am shock ms marvel wasn't a mary sue. I'm really shock there was little to no politics, that I remember at least. Like every other mcu disney plus show, this would've worked way better as a movie. A simple 2 hour film how hard is that, but you stupidly chose to stretch all theses terrible shows with nothing but boring bs that doesn't matter and is completely boring. You're really telling me you idiots couldn't cut out 1 hour of this boring crap. Wandavision is also crap but it still worked as a show and didn't have a simple movie plot that was streched out to oblivion. The only reason these shows exist is because you want people to stay subscribed to dplus for as long as possible and it's not even working so you might as well just stop. CG, not important to me. What makes a good show or movie in story and characters. Both of which are good in this show. There aren't any huge plot holes but I hate thqt they basically made kamla green lantern for no other reason than shes a woman and woman are best at everything and men ****. That is what your telling us, right? You did the same stupid thing with Captain Marvel basically making her Nova, whose literall name is human rocket.

Ms. Marvel is a show without stakes. The 'villians' aren't threatening at all and the plot is all over the place. To me the humour isn't very good but at least the main character is likeable. Don't confuse me with a hater. I don't have anything against breaking stereotypes of how Pakistani women are portrayed on the screen.

Despite some doubts to start with, I've been impressed by the consistently high quality of the MCU TV Series that have formed most of Phase 4. Ironically, Covid may have benefitted the MCU; with TV shows being more viable than the big movies of previous phases, the story telling was allowed to change pace, becoming deeper at what would have been a very difficult point for the franchise anyway; the transition from the Avengers and the universally well known frontline characters to much less well known characters who may have struggled to carry the franchise forward if introduced through movies. Instead these characters have been able to develop at a more relaxed pace thanks to the TV format. One of the other aspects of the TV shows is that none of them have really been alike; each has formed it's own unique part of phase 4, sometimes acting as a bridge, sometimes something completely new, but never the same. This is certainly true of Ms Marvel, a well made origin story, benefitting from the TV show format that allows it space to breath, rather than the rush that has been traditional through much of the MCU. It introduces very different cultural aspects as one would expect of the comic book character, and appears to do a good job of representing an otherwise under-represented community within the genre (or indeed, not represented at all), whilst bringing everyone else along for the ride. Of course there will be a minority who fail to understand Stan Lee's vision for Marvel, but that's their own loss and one can only note that they probably enjoy the X-men comics/movies without a hint of self-awareness. Acting is universally good, with the lead being absolutely outstanding; warm, funny, clever and believable, in fact very probably the most charismatic and well delivered new phase 4 character. Special effects are fine; not perhaps on the grand scale of other movies or shows in the series, but after the overload of effects experienced through the series it's a nice change to have something focussed more on character and plot. On the subject of plot, the series builds gradually and logically, and although there are a few echoes of other teen genre TV shows, it all works well and feels quite natural. At the end there are a couple of nice intriguing twists/Easter eggs propelling the titular character into the forthcoming Marvels movie in a very different way, while building enough of a universe and supporting characters of it's own in a very Buffy-esque way to comfortably support further TV series. Overall, a great pilot series of which I hope there's much more to come, not just the movie, which would really be a waste of the universe development so carefully laid out in the series.

Ms. Marvel is a bad, preachy mess of a Saturday morning kids show. I applaud Marvel and Disney for promoting non-white, non-supermodel characters. When done well, it gives voice to those who have been underrepresented and expands the MCU in a great way. But unlike Black Panther and Spiderman Dimensions, Ms. Marvel feels sanitized and more than a bit phony. There is much talk of the partition of India and Pakistan, colonialism, and of course, ordinary slights of Muslims by white males and law enforcement. The problem is these are complex issues in need of nuance, especially since few have any understanding of the partition. Instead, we get corporate woke speak. She Hulk is much better though still dumbly woke. Note to Disney; characters are more interesting when they are not 100% good or bad. White males are portrayed as either incompetent bigots or woke allies. It implies a world view where there can be no legitimate disagreement on values; ironic given the central role Islam plays in Ms. Marvel. This is the anti-liberalism of the woke left.

Everything is good, except for the Antagonists, antagonists failed to make an impact, otherwise the show would have been great. I rate it 7

Love the show. I'm not a die hard comic fan, so it might be different from the comics, but its very engaging, likable characters, interesting cultural back story that is extremely rare nowadays.

I would say i dont get the hate for this series but sadly i do, it's because they dare to have an ethnic lead and an ethnic theme, the monsters! Ignoring the blatant downvoting for that reason alone, this is a fresh interesting take on a character and quite bingable mini series.

Celebrates awesome south Asian culture and tries to imply that it’s representative of Pakistani culture (the country that would not even let Disney film there). Hindu and Islamic culture is very different. Disney airbrush over that making one of their central aims of educating and breaking down barriers flop horribly. Anyway, I could abide that if the STORY were worth watching but WOW what a confused mess. You’ll likely enjoy the first episode but watch the next 5 and tell me you feel the same way. Directionless trash. The “expert” reviews clearly only watched the first episode and are falling over themselves to signal their virtue in just LOVING any show that whispers “diversity”. It’s pathetic and the more we do this the more trash we can expect. Thanks “experts”.

Completely milquetoast and devoid of soul; it's by no means terrible, it's just in no way good. A tepid waste of time, money, and (limited) talent.

Ms. Marvel is one of the most creative, unique properties that Marvel Studios has made to date. It fulfills all of its goals and gives great credence to its source material.

Remarkably mediocre. Acting isn't horrible, but not great. The pacing is way off. The teenage angst drama is incredibly hard to deal with as it comprises at least 40% of the show. The powers are poorly explained as is the origin of them. It's just a mess. It's like god spilled a script and hastily put back the words in whatever order he thought would make sense. By far one of the weaker additions to the MCU. Not 'Thor 2' bad, but pretty close. I'd avoid this one unless you really, really wanna see a pakistani superhero. I was excited at first because I absolutely ADORED Moon Knight. I am enjoying the superheros of other cultures being introduced but they need to balance cultural exploration with the story of what we came to see. The 2nd episode being 90% pakistani culture was a waste. It's interesting but I'm not watching an MCU movie to watch a wedding. One thing it did too positively though is illuminate the Partition. Was not aware that it was that bad. Definitely something I learned.
