One of the best movies I've seen this year. This is a true rom com-It's charming, it's lighthearted, lovable, fresh, funny, beautiful, and heartwarming. Brought a big smile on my face throughout the whole movie. The performances are absolutely top notch in this and I got to say, this is the rom com of the year and people have got to see this on valentine's day!

My Best Friend's Wedding7
Dec 28, 2024
Some scenes may feel strained in the first half of the movie, but overall the sweetness of the movie wins us over. The leading actors & actresses give magnificent performances, and while Julia Roberts may have done cruel things in scenes, it takes time for her to think things through, and it avoids the regular formula found in normal rom-coms, and builds up to an ending that it may feel like we wanted.

Sonic the Hedgehog 310
Dec 22, 2024
This series had never been better. In the last movie, it's all about on the planet that's in trouble. Here, it's way much bigger than this. The charm was more charming, the character development was stronger, the stakes were bigger, and the more references were there. Overall it was an intense thrill ride from start to finish. When Sonic 4 was announced, I mean, after I got out of the theater I was like "How are they ever gonna top this? How could it be better than this? How are they gonna make themes so much stronger than the ones shown right here?" All I can say is, the filmmakers really learned and learned and grew and grew while making these movies, and I'm very proud of what they've able to make here. Because they've honestly learned how to take what they've done with the previous movies and make them better. And I'm very grateful to sit here, and feel absorbed, haunted by this jaw dropping chunk of entertainment they've delivered here during the holiday season.

Game Night9
Nov 25, 2024
One of the best comedies of the 2010s. The filmmakers take amazing advantage of the premise and expand it with twists, clever humor, and a solid cast. I like how it even gets twisted into an action comedy with amazing cinematography. This is dark but amazingly entertaining. Solidly recommend for those who enjoy game nights.

Red One8
Nov 25, 2024
A good, breezy, clever, and even cheerful holiday action movie. I got to say that some of the cynicism in the movie occasionally turned me off at some times, especially from of the Jack character, but there's at least a great amount of humor, action, to put a smile on my face. This isn't a great movie, nor a christmas classic compared to Elf, polar express, and Christmas Vacation, but it's still a passable, breezy diversion for the holiday season especially for Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans fans.

Wicked9
Nov 25, 2024
I have never seen the Wicked musical, and for a fact I've never seen any Oz related material in a really long time, since all I can remember is watching the old Wizard of Oz movie when I was like 5 years old or something. I am very happy to say, though, that this movie won me over. The costumes look very neat, the production design is very stylish, and the musical numbers are breathtaking. Evro and Grande really mastered their performances, and Jonathan Bailey is a true scene stealer, especially in his big musical number. This is one of the best movies of the year, and also proof that even female-oriented movies can even draw in males to a comfort-viewing watch, and I am very happy to be one of them.

Sep 29, 2024
One of the most brilliant action movies I've ever seen. John Travolta is amazing at playing Nic Cage and Nic Cage is awesome at playing John Travolta. It's one heck of a wild ride as well as the action sequences blowing your mind off as well. Strongly recommend it

Sep 11, 2024
This was a magnificent movie. Well acting and great nostalgia with an amazing soundtrack to fit in with the movie. I actually liked how smart it is and how it explores the characters and thats how it got me hooked. I would definitely watch this in the summer again but I will still watch this anytime if I could. Such a great gem

Despicable Me 47
Sep 11, 2024
Speaking as a longtime fan of the Despicable Me franchise, I would have to say this is my least favorite movie in the film series. I can't say that it's a bad movie, but it feels that it's more messy than the previous movies in the franchise, besides the Rise of Gru, and the humor seems to focus a lot on the characters making pratfalls and mistakes that occasionally got me bored. However, it still does seem to have a handful of laugh out loud moments that still made for a pleasant time at the movies. So if you're in for a good laugh, this movie will sure give you a ton of them. Just don't tell me your opinion if you think it's the best film in the franchise.

Little Miss Sunshine10

This movie is so well developed. This movie has large comic moments throughout yet it has individual genuine heartfelt truth ones, the actors really bring this up to their game and it really is truly enjoyable.

Punch-Drunk Love9
Aug 20, 2024
I never really found it funny, but it's still a big step up for Adam Sandler. This is one of those rare movies where Sandler gives out a simple, committed, acting performance which played to his strengths. I need to watch Uncut Gems next.

Love & Basketball10
Aug 11, 2024
One of the best basketball movies I've ever seen. It's so inventive, so insightful, so clever, so well-acted, and so very well written as well. I wouldn't say it is a "basketball movie". It's a movie about basketball, but also life. I would really recommend it.

Shallow Hal9
Aug 10, 2024
One of the most clever rom coms I've ever seen in the past few months. And it's a great solid role for Jack Black in his early film career. I can clearly see what the filmmakers were trying to do with this topic; they're trying not to make us laugh at it, but provide a lot of heart to this subject that it also provides laughter at the confusion. I think a lot of people don't get this movie. They don't know the point. The point is the most important thing of all that matters is that you should fall in love & get to know the personality of the person, not of how they look. The movie has a very important message.

(500) Days of Summer10
Jul 27, 2024
After watching this movie, I realized this; it captured my perspective. I pursued a girl, tried to talk to her a few times, and after a while it was obvious she wasn't my true love. That's exactly what this movie is about. It captures an honest message. There may be ups and downs in life, including trying to see **** you like is "the one," but the truth is not everything is expected into coming into reality. There isn't really any movie like this. So the movie really moved my heart. It really did.

La La Land10
Jul 15, 2024
If I saw this in theaters it would've been so much different. This was a huge surprise for me especially in filmmaking. It isn't the payoff that we actually hoped, but it still satisfies you when you realize that it's reality. I'm not a fan of jazz, but it actually does a really fantastic job at presenting a throwback to old-fashioned 20th century musical films that still gets you absorbed due to the intriguing story behind it, as well as catchy musical numbers. In the end it really moved me so deeply that I am frustrated that it didn't get Best Picture at the Academy Awards. This is one of the best films I've ever seen, one that's beautifully crafted, well acted, and well absorbing as well.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days10
Jun 23, 2024
I've knew Matthew McConaughey before, but only heard him in the animated movies Sing and Sing 2. This is the first movie I've seen him in live-action, and he just shines in the film. Kate Hudson is also terrific in the movie too, and they both combine together to have great chemistry between the two. The movie also has sharp and witty dialogue that even got some laughs out of me, as long as a great musical score from David Newman that gives a little heartfelt side to it. Overall, it's a great watch, and one of the best rom-com's I've ever seen. If you have Paramount+, watch it on there.

The Edge of Seventeen10
Jun 10, 2024
Funny. Emotional. Sharply acted. The script was also top-notch and unique, elevating The Edge of Seventeen above the coming-of-edge dramaties of the 2010s, like Lady Bird and The Way Way Back. I hugely recommend this.
Jun 10, 2024
Ghost Town9
Jun 10, 2024
Ricky Gervais is new to me, but this is still a pleasure to watch. I liked the generally light tone of this movie and especially the full taken advantage of its premise, resulting in a sharply acted and charming comedy. There was also solid chemistry and it was clever at times. So this is a solid recommend for me.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die9
Jun 10, 2024
This was an unexpected delight, and especially for real cinema. There were tons of laughs in this especially from Martin Lawrence, and some actually thrilling action sequences that made my jaws drop. The direction was fantastic. So who needs an uninspired plot when you got these to enjoy at the movies?

IF7
May 29, 2024
A decent, clever return for family movies in theaters. It's pretty uneven at times, but at the end of the day the heartfelt tone wins us over and there are some cute characters in there as well. It's underwhelming if you compare it to a classic Disney movie, but on it's own right it's harmless and entertaining and tugs you at the heartstrings.

This is not just an underrated movie, but also a hugely inspiring and sympathetic one. When I watched this movie in my reading class it was an inspirational surprise for me how easy it was for me to fell in love with this movie. It would be great to see it on the very big screen because I just love this movie. I love it very much.

The Fall Guy9

Some solid satire built on thrilling action sequences and an intriguing love story. The premise is also intriguing as well, expanding it brilliantly throughout the movie I bet the stunt people did a great job in this movie as well.

17 Again9
Apr 29, 2024
I think most of everyone thought of this the wrong way in my opinion. This is a surprisingly fresh, funny, charming, well scripted and fast paced comedy with some great performances. It actually is pretty inspiring, including Mike trying to figure out his future will be, which made it very intriguing. Mike acting like a father while in his teen's father is actually hilarious in many different ways. If it weren't for some of the sexual humor included in this comedy I think it would be PG rated, but it's still a fun, pleasant good time.

Deadpool10
Apr 19, 2024
Deadpool is good, R-rated fun that was much more delightful than it needed to be. It had fun with fourth wall breaking scenes, and has a surprising amount of charm due to the fourth wall being broken and the perfectly cast Ryan Reynolds just going with it in the lead role. In conclusion, this is one of the best, funniest, unique Marvel superhero movies I've ever seen.

Someone Like You9
Apr 19, 2024
A true example **** romance movie; it may be in limited release, but it's truely my money's worth since it's filled with strong performances, sweet themes, and great energy and chemistry. I think it's truly an unforgettable movie and I'm glad I watched it.

Return to Never Land10
Apr 17, 2024
This is surprisingly well done. I watched this when I was a kid back when I was watching the 1953 Peter Pan movie multiple times with my family, and it entertained me just as much as the original entertained me. It's just fun entertainment for people who loved the first movie, I sure loved both of them.

Spider-Man 210
Apr 17, 2024
This is exactly what a superhero movie should be. It well balances superhero action with a human story, and it really gets you teared up and never gets you bored. It's a well acted movie that I think it's the best out of the nine spider man movies.
Apr 14, 2024
Dazed and Confused10
Apr 14, 2024
The thing that stunned me the most about Dazed and Confused is not any inventive humor, but the realism it captures. This is a movie that's a worthy to behold because of its realistic portrayal of a day of high schoolers lives, a humorous touch to it that also looks so realistic, and the great cast that's assembled; I noticed two familiar actors that looked young in this movie: Ben Affleck and Matthew McConaughey. Richard Linklater really makes great realistic movies especially Boyhood, and it can really take you back to nostalgia just by letting yourself be absorbed into the movie and characters with them.

The Godfather10
Apr 4, 2024
One of the most intense films I've ever seen. I'm not a fan of crime novels, crime fiction, or crime films, but this totally put me bonkers. The violence was insane, the plot was very big but intriguing, the cast gave terrific performances, especially actors who looked a lot different than I usually see them as in the 2000s (Robert DuVall and James Caan). They say it's one of the greatest films of all time. No kidding. It was made in the early 70s, and might have been the earliest to show incredible violence to back up the plot, that I can understand very well. I don't watch a lot of dark dramas, but this is one that is very legendary that even if you're not a fan of these types of films you should still watch it.

Arthur the King10
Apr 4, 2024
It's a sports-related movie, but what do you expect? The inclusion of the dog in this movie, based on a true story, is also brilliant as well and proves that dogs can be just as smart as humans. As well as Mark Wahlburg, the cast did a great job as well. It didn't made me cry, but it touched my heart. Really worth watching.

Friends with Benefits10
Apr 4, 2024
This was an unexpected delight. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis in a rom-com about their own friendship and adding sex into it. The script is very hilarious and very briskly paced, which makes it a great standout as a rom-com. Justin Timberlake has a surprisingly charming screen presence even though I've only heard his acting voice in the Trolls Movies, but he is also charming in this movie too. I hope I watch more of his movies too.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire9
Apr 4, 2024
All i can say is that this is a worthy sequel to Afterlife. Although it does have flaws, it still retains the comedic charm and has some very fascinating special effects. The cast also did a wonderful job too, shoutout to them.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever9
Feb 23, 2024
This is the BEST diary of a wimpy kid animated movie. Why? Because it adapts a story from a book that has never really adapted into a movie so you can't really tell what they're gonna do to it. It also has heart and a solid story told well, as well as a few funny moments here and there. I think it's a good christmas movie for Disney+ and I would recommend.

The Way, Way Back10
Feb 20, 2024
It's been 10 years and I'll still say this: Fantastic movie. It's well made and put together, and very sweet yet charming all the way through. Sam Rockwell definitely stole every scene he's in and I still appreciate how charming he is in the movie. I just love how sympathetic the characters are that Duncan encounters and I think that elevated the movie. It's a really touching and funny movie that I think adolescent viewers will definitely relate to.

Bob Marley: One Love7
Feb 20, 2024
It felt kind of slow in spots but the acting was actually great, and even though I couldn't understand their Jamaican language at times I kind of get the point, and it's actually a decent tribute to a legendary singer that is known around the world.
Feb 19, 2024
Delivery Man9
Feb 19, 2024
I think the most reasons why this remake was made was to appeal to a different generation, or a different demographic, than Starbuck. I think if you didn't watch the original you might like the Vince Vaughn movie more, and I personally did. It's different than most movies that are led by Vince, his character has a big heart throughout the entire movie. There are laughs too, especially from Chris Pratt, who has a lot of witty dialogue in the movie. I think it had a good mix of comedy and drama, and if you're a big fan of Vince Vaughn, you might like this movie, as long as you are prepared to expect him to not act that selfish or narcissistic in this movie, as you might know him to be this way most of the time in his movies. I would definitely recommend this movie, as long as you haven't seen the original movie that was remade.

Arthur Christmas10
Dec 31, 2023
This movie honestly deserves a whole lot more attention than it is right now. I was expecting it to be a Christmas film with some obvious messages or something like that, but I was actually surprised with how sweet, hilarious, heartwarming, and intelligent the movie really is. It actually avoids several cliches and a predictable narrative arc while still providing a hugely entertaining balance for kids and adults that can be a perfect movie viewing option for the holidays. It can really keep you amused the whole way through. This was made by the creators of Ron's Gone Wrong, no kidding! Hugely recommend this underrated animated Christmas movie.
Dec 24, 2023
The King of Staten Island9
Dec 24, 2023
Such a good movie. It's really a shame it didn't get played in theaters but at least it did a good job in video-on-demand sales on its debut weekend. Pete Davidson did a fantastic job on his acting performance in TKOSI because it was actually loosely based on his actual childhood, especially his town where he grew up at and his deceased father. The supporting cast did a well done job too such as Bill Burr and the actress who plays Scott's friend who wants to take their relationship further, I can't remember their name lol
But for Pete Davidson's first leading man role in a movie, he did a great job at it not only because of his comedic skills, but his own capabilities as an actor in fitting in to his character especially in the dramatic parts. Hopefully he has more roles like this--oh wait, there already has--Fast X and Dumb Money
Dec 24, 2023
Deck the Halls2
Dec 24, 2023
I truly can't believe the quality on this film. The movie is too mean throughout and it just focuses on Steve and Buddy fighting each other without some comedic inspiration or at least a worthy joke in there. Despite a worthy cast who really did some decent acting in the movie, they really aren't enough to overcome the lack of energy and mean spiritedness in this movie.
Dec 24, 2023
Wonka8
Dec 24, 2023
When it starts, I had a little trouble trying to find out where the story starts. However, when the movie continued on, I found lots of charm in the movie and the cast was just great in their roles. The songs were also very genial and helped uplift the movie at times. It's not the best Wonka film in my opinion, even though I haven't seen the Johnny Depp Wonka movie, but at least it isn't as scary as the 1971 which even though that was a good aspect of that film version of the character. I think Paul King really understood the classic character and I think really kept his own spirit he put in the Paddington movies. If you're a big musical fan, on screen, stage, or even both of them, you really might enjoy this. Especially around the holidays.

Just Friends8
Nov 19, 2023
This romantic comedy has a surprising amount of slapstick humor in it, which is unusual for this type of movie genre. It's also fast-paced and really energetic, with Ryan Reynolds bringing a lot of charm to the movie. It isn't a "sparkling" christmas comedy with some of the humor being mean-spirited, but it makes for a unique type of romantic/christmas comedy that would be easily be adored for fans of Ryan Reynolds, Christmas comedies, slapstick comedies all for the same.
Nov 18, 2023
Trolls Band Together10
Nov 18, 2023
It isn't the best Trolls film, but this movie has solid jokes, lots of charm, catchy songs, plenty of heart, and beautiful animation that makes it a delightful watch. It's another solid installment in the trolls franchise.

Kevin Hart was hilarious in this movie all the way. He helped me get into this movie. He had the best moments in this movie, delivering some great jokes along with it as well. Strongly recommend.

PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie10
Oct 1, 2023
A lot more ambitious and more thrilling animation than its predecessor, The Mighty Movie defies some but not all expectations for the movie and delivers it in an entertaining way for the kids. There are some elements in the movie that are just the same as the first film, but there are other elements that they took from the first and made them a lot bigger. It's more emotional and action packed, which didn't made it feel like a retread. A very solid sequel and I hope there will be a third one.
Aug 29, 2023
Tommy Boy10
Aug 29, 2023
Tommy Boy may be widely hated by critics, but it's very easy for me to say they're wrong because this was a true Chris Farley classic and it has a ton of funny moments. It also has a bit of a heart as well, and I'm glad it became a classic to a ton of other Farley fans. One of my favorite comedies and a must-see if you're a fan of Chris Farley.

You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah!10
Aug 29, 2023
In the beginning I thought this movie was going to drag, but as the movie went on, it turned out to be very appealing to me especially considering it was focused on young teens and had a soundtrack that would appeal to this generation. It features the same type of humor you would expect in a Happy Madison production, but it also has a clever script and an appealing cast, most considerably Sunny Sandler, a daughter of Adam Sandler. She was very charming as a leading actress in a movie and even with Adam Sandler as a supporting actor, it still works very well. I honestly think it's the best Happy Madison movie to date, even both Rotten Tomatoes' and Metacritic's critic scores are a lot higher than all of the previous happy madison films (joe dirt for example.)
Aug 27, 2023
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water10
Aug 27, 2023
This was an epic movie. Not a spongebob fan, which made it kind of hard to enjoy the traditionally animated scenes but the way it combines live action, traditional animation, and CGI for the story really made it enjoyable for me. Even though the CGI parts of the movie were almost the only parts of the movie I liked, the plot was enjoyable and so were the characters. The humor was also funny too.
Aug 27, 2023
Paw Patrol: The Movie9
Aug 27, 2023
I'm not a huge Paw Patrol fan but for real I loved this movie. I also liked how it's rated G unlike most animated films of this period so literally anyone can watch it without getting harmed. Some scenes felt a little long but there were some elements that worked perfectly for a feature-length film of Paw Patrol, such as a subplot about one of the pups, which made it mildly emotional but absolutely perfect for a kids movie. Now that I liked it, I can't wait for the sequel.
