Dynasty is my favorite soap opera of all time, my 3rd favorite new show of 2017, and one of my favorite shows of all time. Elizabeth Gillies performance is exceptional, she plays this role perfectly with a sassy, fiery, charismatic, funny, and very entertaining but also an emotionally deep and complex performance. Other performances from Nicollette Sheridan, Nathalie Kelley, Brianna Brown, Wakeema Hollis, Grant Show, Rafael de La Fuente, Alan Dale, Sam Adegoke, and James Mackay were outstanding. The chemistry between the cast is terrific. I love the music especially the opening theme, the music is phenomenal. The costumes are spectacular especially on Elizabeth Gillies, Nicollette Sheridan, Nathalie Kelley, Wakeema Hollis, Rafael de La Fuente, Alan Dale, Grant Show, and Sam Adegoke. The makeup and hairstyling was stupendous especially on Elizabeth Gillies, Wakeema Hollis, Nathalie Kelley, Kelly Rutherford, Nicollette Sheridan, Adam Huber, and Brianna Brown. The writing is pretty darn great for a soap opera, probably the best I have every seen. This was an A+ first season.

Updated, sharply written, socially conscious, this new version wants to improve on the original and often does. But what’s missing is a compelling reason for a reboot in the first place.

The new “Dynasty” is well-written and features a competent cast, but it’s not engaging enough to compete in today’s world, where immersing viewers in the lives of a dysfunctional rich family is no longer an escape--it’s an unavoidable reality.

This Dynasty’s seriousness of intent is not balanced by enough wit and canny character development, nor is it offset by consistent injections of flair or fabulousness. The whole enterprise reeks of mere adequacy--and darling, the Carringtons deserve more.

For nostalgic fans of the original, this might seem like an unnecessary homage. For the CW’s target fan base, born largely after the original went off the air, it’s a retread of themes from more exciting soaps. For everyone, it’s so far forgettable.

hands down one of the best shows ever!! The actors are so good that I actually didn't feel like I was watching a series, it has a very strong story, and I love the fact that the story doesn't stick to one story, but a season has about 14 stories

2 premières saisons excellente, 3 saison décevante qui tourne BEAUCOUP trop en rond et qui devient lassant.
Changement d'actrice pour Crystal 2 comme ça...pourquoi ?? Alexis chiante et détestable. Fallon est attachante mais lourde.

the show is addictive but it lacks the depth and layers required. I hope the show will be more orgainised as well. Sad it doesn't renew for the 6th season. Maybe a remake will be done, ummmmm, in 20 years later?

I really tried because I liked the original series. This show was a hot mess from the ridiculous story lines to the below average acting. I wouldn't even recommend for light entertainment, sorry
