My stomach hurt from laughing whilst my eyes were red from endlessly crying. Another testament to this being amongst one of history's best the show is allowed to focus further more on the mental health of it's characters and the realistic implications it held . Amazing performances not only from the writers and animation team but the voice cast,this was Diane &mr.peanutbutter's seasons. Familial ties and trauma are honestly examined and it's intergenerational passage not excused as validation for the abuse of both parties.

After a rough start to its first season Bojack really upped its game and this fourth season is the best yet. There is still plenty of humour, both of the dark and absurd kind, mined from the shows characters and world but it also tackles heavy subjects like depression, dementia, miscarriages and alcoholism in a sensitive and unique way that few other shows, let alone animated ones in which the main character is an anthropomorphic horse, have managed and many episodes pack a real emotional punch. This really is a superb season of television.
