It is snappy, and funny enough when it needs to be.

Yes, they [Amanda Peet and David Walton] throw sparks, but it's more than that. The quick reparte and the presence of great secondary players is also a crucial part of the appeal.

to be honest, i think most of us are tired of the poorly written, poorly executed rom-coms. Bent, is thankfully a refreshing new twist to a used up concept. The show wastes little time on introduction, yet making you understand most of the main characters. David Walton pulls of a relaxed and slack contractor to Amanda Peet's single mother/lawyer. But by far the best part of the show is Jeffrey Tambor's best role since Arrested Development. not for everyone, but a it will surely give you a good chuckle.

Bent is the sort of funky offbeat comedy that grows on you, so watching more than one episode at a sitting turns out to be a good thing.

There's a lot going on in Bent. A lot of absurdity, a lot of characters, and that vital thing, a lot of talent.

Beneath all that witty repartee, the two main characters actually have some depth.

The show ambles along without getting viewers to particularly care about Alex or Pete. Without that requisite electricity, they're hollow, or just sad.

Bent feels like a one-night stand where, in the morning, no one minds if you don't stay for breakfast.

The show may have potential but seems to be just trashy jokes and concepts that pass as entertainment today. I watch out of boredom really, and to for long.

The cast is good , Amanda Peet is perfect for the role & David Walton was a bit better then i thought he would be but the writing is so bad !!! it was not funny at all & I don't think the show will go any farther !

I watched this last night and was impressed with the cast but the show stinks. Amanda Peet is not a comedienne and that's a real problem since she's the start of this attempt at comedy. The writing is awful and the plot makes no sense. Aside from the actual content, the show could be palatable.
