Unfrosted

The jokes spill forth so fast that there’s no time for the shtick to get soggy.

Unfrosted is a bonbon, a truffle, a trifle and a distraction from dispiriting news and disappointing drama upon which one can gorge as if it were a package of Fig Newtons. No, too healthy: Honey Smacks.

As a movie, Unfrosted is weak. As a delivery system for a barrage of funny, silly jokes, it's part of a nutritious breakfast.

The movie represents months and months of sustained labor from hundreds of people, including many of the most talented and recognizable names in their field, in the service of a story that possesses no satirical edge, nor any human connection. It takes whatever pleasure that can be derived from a Pop-Tart, and chokes on it.

Oh, well. Perhaps the best response to junk food is junk cinema.

Unfrosted is one of the worst films of the decade so far.

Great movie! Very funny, just a movie without a social agenda! All the comedians were perfect in their roles.

This is a silly comedy that doesn't take itself serious at all. It's the fictional retelling of how the Pop-Tart was invented. It has a star-studded cast, with whom each pull off their roles very nicely, and it was a fun time, but it is not a great movie by any stretch of the imagination. In the same vein of silliness of movies like Naked Gun or Airplane, this movie has a lot of spoofs and gags in it, most of which land. I told my wife that while I had a good time with it, it is not a movie I will probably ever watch again. Turn your brain off when you go into this one, and you will have some cheesy fun.

If you're intoxicated, or maybe if you enjoy the strange comedic mind of 21st-century Jerry Seinfeld, then Unfrosted might be fore you. What could've been a very interesting doc-drama about the corporate story of the Pop Tart, unfortunately, follies out to be a comedy that's not always funny, turned satirical, confusing mess.

Very very disappointing. It was like a stand up comedy movie with terrible jokes. I googled the real story and it was far more interesting.

Jerry Seinfeld does not want to become old before these new generations, but with this comedy he brings one of his worst projects that could not make new or old generations laugh
