The actual performances during the film range from excellent to somewhat amateurish, but this amateurism is easily absorbed by the sheer power of the imagery on display.

See it - if you dare.

An acid movie flashback a la Oliver Stone.

The film evokes how homicide became the ultimate orgasm for kids who had turned themselves into zombies of flesh.

Van Bebber is out to capture the mood of a generation-long bad trip and succeeds with unnerving accuracy by telling the story within the family circle.

Harrowing and imaginatively made.

There's no real journalism here, just the sort of appalling revisionism that can turn a bloodbath into a beach party.

This was not a nice film. It tells the tale of a serial killer and his 'family'. It's hard to follow due to the editing being completely non-linear but the story is very basic and does make sense due to its utter simplicity. The violence is repetitive but sometimes shocking and the nudity frequent and unemotional. To be honest it is not worth watching as it tells nothing new. On the plus side it held my attention and kinda told me something different about Manson but with minimal research on him and I would learn a lot more I am sure. Don't waste your time by watching this inconsistent wannabe shocker.
