Sometimes dark, sometimes quite weird. Delves into some pretty bittersweet themes. Christopher Lee steals the show as King Haggard & Lady Amalthea is lovely.

Based on the novel/comic book of the same name, "The Last Unicorn" hosts some beautiful visuals and wise words, but with its stilted direction in both animation and acting, it's by no means a passion project. Nonetheless, it is a memorable experience and one that works as a solid and smart introduction to fantasy films for children.
