Replicas manages to be perversely entertaining for its fast-paced first half, if only because of the sheer absurdity of its storyline. But it eventually devolves into tedious thriller tropes.

St. John's script is the underlying bug in the code. Science fiction is at its best when it's a morality tale – especially when dealing with tech, such as brain mapping, that is seemingly within our grasp. Yet there's no moral or emotional weight to anything William does.

Not sure why this got bad reviews, I found it gripping from beginning to end. It doesnt have the great special effects maybe that's why And yes it had a very small minute or two that were a little bad acting and could've used more emotion from Keanu but pretty good.

I almost did not watch this movie after reading other reviews. I am glad that I did watch this though. The acting is pretty good, but not quite to the level of John Wick. As a Sci-Fi movie, it was well written and thought out. Some reviews said that the science was not well thought. Sci-Fi allows for a lot of poetic license, such as the movie Interstellar. The “science” does not need to be right. I will add this to one of my favourites.

At first so-bad-it's-good, then merely it’s-so-bad, Replicas’ source of interest is primarily forensic. How did director Jeffrey Nachmanoff and writer Chad St. John (London Has Fallen) think they could get away with it?

Frankensteined together from the stiff corpses of a dozen smarter movies, Replicas is a cloning thriller so carelessly stupid that it often feels like a mad science experiment gone wrong.

The climax’s bizarre left turns culminate in a final image so bewildering that were the film not so relentlessly dour it might have clarified Replicas as an absurdist comedy.

The chief distinction of Replicas is how detached it often is from the expected sense of words and images.

How late can a thriller spring a plot twist that at least partially compensates for all the cavernous plot holes, risible dialogue, and ludicrously illogical behavior that precede it? Probably not nearly as late as the makers of Replicas wait before introducing a third-act reveal that brazenly acknowledges just how silly things have been up to that point.

Don't understand the resentment of this movie. I enjoyed it from start to finish. There was no bad acting! I admit it was a bit unbelievable cloning three people in your basement, but let's give them a little poetic license. The tech stuff may have been wrong or inaccurate, but I'm too old to know if the tech was accurate or not. I just know I liked the movie. And, I almost didn't see it because of the bad ratings. I have enjoyed sci fi since I was a kid in the 1950s. I'm getting tired of the super hero **** that's bad acting, writing and dialogue! Don't see any of them anymore. Don't believe good ratings for **** possible!

Not a bad watch at all but not great either. I would give it a 6.5/10.. It was just missing something. I think more action scenes would of helped. Its worth a watch on Netflix

No, it's not an ultra-sophisticated sci-fi flick, but what it's got in spades is FUN! Keanu is in top form, and I love Alice Eve in it. It explores and plays out a variety of interesting cloning and brain mapping scenarios, and it's gripping in a way that so many of these big, dumb Marvel and DC flicks are not.

Something like 3.5 for me. While I did manage to watch it I did feel like it was so silly and unreallistic, so much of the plot wasn't thought through and was rushed. It wasn't completely boring, but not worth your time really

in a pounding driving rainstorm cops in regular uniforms, just shirts, no rain gear, no unbrella, come to his front door completely DRY. They are super cops. And nobody misses the kids for 17 days. The school doesn't call...yeah, right. I love Keanu but why would he sign on to something like this? He doesn't need the money. Maybe he donated his take. He does that.
