I think this movie is so unfairly rated, sure it's not the best thing I've ever seen but if it does something right, that is keeping the style and the soul of the original movie, sure it's not as good as the original one, but it's not terrible by any stretch of the imagination at all, that I can assure. The only problem this movie has, is including new scenes that adds absolutely nothing to the story, in fact it detracts from the story.

Este live action es uno de los live action más pulcros y decentes que hizo Disney en mucho tiempo

Un remake scadente che prende in giro lo spettatore non c'è nessun motivo per vederlo se non fare dell'auto lesionismo.

This trainwreck needs to be seen to be **** is the fish so sexy? Why is Tom Hanks singing? Why is there so much fecal play? Why didn't they hire real puppeteers for the puppeteer sequences? Why is even the horse in the background cg?Why did they insert new songs and why only **** ones? Why is the inanimate puppet able to move her eyes? Why is the pacing so bad?Why are the (root) beers cg, including the foam? Did they not have beer glasses on set?Did they run out of money?

questo film fallisce in tutto, fallisce nell'essere un buon remake, adattamento, film tutto, il peggio che disney ha fatto nel 2022 e una delle cose peggiori che lei abbia mai fatto

The balls of s*it that caught Pinocchio's curiosity have more soul and personality than this pile of crap of unwanted and unasked remake of a literal timeless masterpiece and one of the greatest films ever made, which is also the most important and symbolic film of the company, that will hold up even in the next MILLENIA. Watch the original animated Walt Disney's masterpiece instead, not the Bob Soyger's "Disney" Company's version.

Unfortunately, there's no redeeming qualities to save this remake. You'd be better off watching the original.

How did they manage to make the worst Pinocchio movie of 2022 with all the money they have

Pinocchio was satisfying. Enough for my taste. But it is not made for adults, obviously. From the kids' perspective, it is probably a good movie. For me, it was just Tom Hanks and others. I had fun, but I will probably forget next year.

I watched this when it came to Disney+ a While ago, actually forgot to do a rating for it, luckily I'm full steam with reviews now. Anyway compared to recent Disney content I am surprisingly less angry about this one, but that doesn't mean Disney is exempt from pushing out a chopped up and dumbed-down version of Pinocchio. Let's begin, this film is dumped down, stripped apart and a lesser version of the original. The CGI is uncanny, the scenes have been swapped mixed and altered into this unrecognizable story. The characters in this film were purposely swapped or taken out and do not match the time period in which they are in, there are scenes in this film that do not matter or push forward the plot. And as mentioned before the flow of the scenes has been stripped apart. eg. remember when Pinocchio is going to school, yeah he was never supposed to make it in the first place, he was meant to be constantly influenced about becoming famous and making his father proud, by Honest John and his companion. Here it's completely unfocused, he makes it but is kicked out because the plot demanded it so. But why am I rating it higher than usual, it's because it tried to do something different, that's not bad, besides the race swapping of course, but it tried. Overall it's still not a good satisfying watch, it's half as good as the original, so it's a 4/10. It's watchable, not enjoyable, not complete, not source accurate, just plain watchable.

When 3 Pinocchio movies come out in a 12 month span & yours is the worst, you know you've messed up. At least the one voiced by Poly Shore was entertainingly bad & unintentionally funny. Being bad is way better than being mediocre. Btw, they used a male seagull & gave it a female voice. I'm assuming they were going to make it a trans character, but nothing came of it. Could it be that they thought audiences were too stupid to know that female gulls are brown & white spotted?

This is the 3rd worst live Action Remake that disney has made and forgot what made 1940's pinocchio so appealing in the first place.

Unoriginal to the one and only Disney version of Pinocchio, this live action reboot lacks the same quality as that original animated film that taught us that “when you wish upon a star, dreams come true!”

A waste of time! Better go and watch Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio, it's way better, way superior.

Atrocious. There's no soul here and the movie genuinely feels unfinished. Zemeckis hasn't made a good movie since The Polar Express.

I think it's good that they made the CGI design of cartoon pinocchio because that way the original essence of the character is preserved.
But the problem is in the rest, they changed many things in the story and made it lose everything that made the original unique.

Every time I think the Disney Live Action remakes can’t get any worse, they pump out something even worse then their previous attempt setting the already INCREDIBLY low bar even lower. That’s what’s happened here with Pinocchio. I despise this movie with every fiber of my being because it feels unfinished and this time I don’t feel like I’m speaking in hyperboles. I genuinely think the movie just isn’t finished. The visual effects look like they were created not even 2 months ago and sometimes look like a parody of the Spy Kids movies minus the charm. Every scene feels like the first take and that they didn’t review the footage until they were in the editing room. I’m almost 100% positive that the script is a first draft as well in the sense that they tried to copy and paste some elements from the original film while also dragging the scene’s out with pointless dialogue and some incredibly unfunny jokes. All of the performances here are very underwhelming. Tom Hanks clearly only agreed to be in this because he’s friends with the Director and it shows in his performance. There’s no life in his performance and that’s the same for pretty much everyone else besides Joseph Gordon-Levitt who at least feels like he’s trying to do something. There isn’t anything in this film story wise that isn’t done better or more swiftly done than in the original. There’s an extra 20 minutes added to this film and I really struggle to understand why it was needed. Why was this film even made in the first place? Answer, I don’t know to be honest. I think originally it was money but they didn’t release it in theaters so. This is an absolute waste of time and I would highly recommend not watching this and staying as far away from this product as possible.

A colourful reintroduction of the curious puppet! After Gepetto's puppet Pinocchio comes to life, he encounters many obstacles in his journey to become a real boy. Music is well-timed and played at appropriate times, including remade classics that originate from the original "Pinocchio" film. Sound effects are very well-made and used well throughout the movie. Visual effects are stunning and help make scenes more lively. Plot moves along well. Characters are well-developed, including side characters who are essential to the movie's plot. Overall, "Pinocchio" is a cheerful, heartwarming remake of the original "Pinocchio" film, and is worth watching.

It’s charmless, hollow, empty… wooden. It’s a wooden lifeless facsimile of the much better 1940s version. Shock of all shocks, a Disney remake of a beloved classic is not able to measure up to the original, truly a surprising development to absolutely no one.

When I first recognise about the Disney live action remakes there situation is abit like how the Disney DVD Sequels went where they maybe some decent ones but a lot are bad and lucky John Lasseter decided to stop making DVD Sequels and in the case of the Pinocchio remake is noticeable that the Disney Remakes are not going well and someone must come into the Disney company and stop making live action remakes and that’s probably the best way to describe this movie

It may seem much more eye-catching and advanced for the new audience that will be introduced to this story with this film, especially considering that Guillermo del Toro's version that will be released on Netflix this December may not be as accessible. Unfortunately for this release, it faces the same problem that all of Disney's live-action adaptations have faced, and that problem is going up against superior versions, because so far most of them have failed to capture the magic of the animated films, and Pinocchio fails miserably in that regard as well.
I even think Tom Hanks was a poor casting choice to play Geppetto. Admittedly, I'm putting unfair weight on this film, but there being a better version of the same project, I must say that, while the 1940 Disney film may seem dated to new viewers, it's far more effective than this weak remake. This movie means condoning creative laziness, and its release on Disney+ is proof enough of that. And it's also very sad to see how Robert Zemeckis is closing his career.

They have to ruin everything, this, little mermaid and snow white. What's wrong with you. Than you call fans racist, but hey i'm brown and I don't want to see "brown" (like me) people in every movie, I would watch bollywood if I want to see people of my skin color. Stop race changing for god sake, I wanna watch movie not your political belief.

(Mauro Lanari)
Tom Hanks wearing makeup like Manfredi and Battiston in the role of Mangiafuoco (oops: "Stromboli") are the only almost two concessions to the Comencini of '72. For the rest, it is difficult to recognize that it is Collodi's novel: a real reboot, blackwashed and set in Wakanda. It wouldn't be a problem if the conspicuous changes made added pathos instead of deleting it.

One thing that’s true about this? Tom Hanks is hilariously unhinged. I couldn’t imagine spending money to go see this fever dream, but that’s what Disney+ and the fast forward button are for. But who submits “reviews” and real scores indicative of a movie/show/cereal’s quality anymore? That’s not what people do! They come crawling to MetaCritic and social media to cry their triggered eyes out because a black woman came onto their screens for a few moments. There is nothing on this Earth more whiny and cringy than triggered white trash. I mean, holy crap, the amount of bawling and tantrums over a 90 second scene with a magical blue fairy, these cretins should be ashamed. But, alas, they have no souls. This movie ****, but this society and life on this planet in 2022 **** more.

This movie genuinely felt like a nightmare. Bizarre at times, frightening at others, and just boring the rest of the time. The CGI wasn't done in any kind of realistic way, so it just looks like live action characters pasted into an animated world. Pinocchio himself is just kind of there while the events happen to him, rather than actively partaking in it. It's just simply not a good movie.

People who put 0's on it must never have seen the original film. The film is very accurate to the cartoon. All the scenes are there. Obviously there are some changes but nothing serious. The world today doesn't know how to enjoy things without criticism.

Mejor ver la clásica, se pierde todo el sentido de redención y aprendizaje de pinocho ya que es bueno todo el tiempo. La bailarina innecesaria y su trama. No funciona

This is a quite charming live action remake of the classic Disney film. I loved Tom Hanks as Gepetto - he's the perfect person to play that role, I feel. There's some pretty decent CGI featured in this film and it was nice to see the songs I remember from when I saw the original (film) as a child. I'd forgotten some details of the story but I enjoyed watching it again and I hope it finds a new audience of young fans. I know some people criticise it but for what it is, I thought it was pretty decent and so I would recommend it, yes.

A visual delight, thank you, Disney! I haven't read the original story, but I can tell that the visual effects, cast, voices were an A+ and more than 100% accurate. Very well done! Finally a good reboot! You have my full support in making more like this one! The story wasn't above the curve as many would have been expected, but it's a fantasy and a family movie! It made me a tearjerker, I admit, because it sent me there, in that period of time, where Mr. Walt created these beauties and amazed us with the drawings and magic. I never knew the lyrics from the Disney movies intro song. Thank you for that. It really touched me! A strong candidate to the visual and song department to the Oscar's, original song too, not to mention animated movie! Good luck taking on Lightyear! Can't wait for the next projects like this! Peace and Love!

Disney??? Can you stop please??? Just make an original movie or series. The movie feels empty, lacks of soul. Stop ruining franchises, what happened to the fairy from our childhood??? The fairy from 1940, why would you race swap her, is not that racist??? Even Tom Hanks can not save this bad movie.

Emotional Soulful Movie. with original Pinnochio’s similar innocence. Interesting take on the scene of Pleasure Island. Lovely CGI. Similar to the Original which is Nice. Does not deserve anything extremely negative said about it. Would have been nice to have seen more of the real boy Pinnochio turned into at the end and more magic and more of The Blue fairy. Other than that enjoyed the film alot.
