Antonio Banderas chews scenery with varying results but Olivia Colman is pitch-perfect as the all-singing all-dancing Reverend Mother. Paddington's latest adventure may be the weakest of the films so far but it remains a total delight.

This is weaker than the first 2 Paddington movies but It's not bad at all! This is my 2nd favorite movie of 2025 and it's amazing! 10/10

Paddington in Peru is still incredibly touching in its story of acceptance from both found family and birth family. It’s still silly and amusing with a childlike innocence and purity of heart that appeals to both kids and adults. It still pays homage to film history in a way that will delight cinephiles. But having seen the heights of “Paddington 2,” this third installment could only pale in comparison.

While there are passages of uncertainty and twists that take their good sweet time to arrive, things come together beautifully, and a finale that combines a series of clever emotional call-backs and another heartening plea for human empathy that’s worthy of only the finest John Lewis ad.

Paddington in Peru lacks the anarchic humour and originality that made its predecessors outstanding, but it’s all terribly merry nonetheless.

While Paddington in Peru sadly lacks the absurdist wit and decidedly dark edge that elevated the first two Paddington movies, it’s serviceable enough given its limitations.

Complete with cliches and culturally cringe-inducing stereotypes — poor but happy villagers, sweaty villains — Peruvians will hardly use this film in their tourist advertising.

My god… I have not watched a movie this good in a loooooong while. I mean, I’m no movie critic, but I *really* can confidently say that this is a banger, for almost every age. I mean I’m 14, and still enjoyed this the max. The voice acting is spot on (at least in german). And all characters feel so fleshed out and alive. The animation is smooth as heck and some of the nature shots or whatever they’re called were exceptional. I still faintly remember the first 2 parts (also amazing btw), and I love that they’re being referenced, but not so much that you have to watch the first 2 movies. They also had some really good actors in there. (Antonio Banderas (as Mr. Hunter) for example). Some of the jokes are also pretty good. Just overall a crazy good movie.

Paddington in Peru is a sweet film that is not quite like the first two but is a good side quest on its own. Much of the plot is passable and much of the character development is quite fine. The movie really “Goldilocks” a lot of elements which doesn’t make this movie really special but it makes a really really great family, a family movie that they don’t tend to make anymore. In a world that each family film has to bring a something new and inventive, Paddington in Peru manages to tell a simple, sweet, and endearing story. The movie however does live up to the sentimental punch the first two had, which is great. Not all of the side plot works and some of the middle of the movie stretches to fill in the runtime but looking back, it’s a good time.

Paddington in Peru does sail as the weakest one but however it does embrace risks as it does come out with different idea's.

Not as good as the other movies. Antonia Banderas isn't nearly as fun to watch as Hugh Grant was in the previous films. Everything is a bit too nice and twee. The sugar is spread on thickly and there's never much in the way of conflict or danger.
