A bad movie with mediocre action, ridiculously cliché aliens, bad to mediocre acting and an insultingly ham-fisted 'message'. 2 points for the acceptable camera work and color grading. Not worth a watch.

Australia gets invaded by the least strategic, most poorly coordinated alien race in the galaxy. This scifi rendition of Tomorrow, When the War Began is flooded with terrible acting and terrible writing. Temuera Morrison can't save this train wreck of a movie.

Occupation fills a pretty odd role in movies these days. The story is as basic as it comes, the characters grow very little and you can see the ending coming a mile away really. That being said, if you like action movies this thing is a throwback in the genre to when all that mattered was a body count and fireballs.

No reviews here telling you the movie was well made should be trusted. Its just terrible and I love sci-fi. Basically a "red-dawn" with aliens but so very much worse. Did they hire a director? How about a film editor? the dialog and switching to different scenes make no sense. Actors mostly did a good job, effects were ok, it just came together so badly. Had to stop watching.

The acting was bad. The story was dumb. The message was idiotic. The action was boring. The dialogue was some of the worst I've ever seen. Whoever made this film didn't care about making a movie at all. It's 100% garbage.

A thoroughly entertaining and well-crafted film with a positive message about tolerance and cooperation. An engaging story, likeable characters, atmospheric cinematography and good action pacing all add up to a very enjoyable film viewing experience, and an impressive achievement for such a low budget film.

This movie isn't even so bad its good, its just bad. They should have given up on a serious movie halfway through and gone with straight comedy. It gets a 1 for effort. Update: had to change to zero because of the fake review.
