MBV 3D is full-on, old-school, Fangoria-approved, gorehound heaven – a supersaturated arterial goregasm with zero socially redeeming values for anyone other than first-year med students.

The 3-D effects come fast and furious, rendered with a technical skill and humor that gives this otherwise strictly formulaic slasher picture whatever entertainment value it possesses.

Very good movie. Love the death scenes. Just wish their was a lot more action and murder scenes.

La versión original me gustó bastante, pero hacía el final me empezó a aburrir, este remake en 3D resultó ser mejor de lo que esperaba centrándose de lleno en el gore y en ser entretenida, buenos efectos 3D para la época.

A strange synergy of old and new, My Bloody Valentine 3D blends cutting-edge technology and old-school prosthetics to produce something both familiar and alien: gore you can believe in.

What really leaps out at you about My Bloody Valentine 3-D is its lack of imagination.

Wooden performances by forgettable, generic actors -- again, just like in the original -- don't aid in making things any less leaden. Perhaps this is the best one can hope for from something like My Bloody Valentine 3-D, that it be just good enough to not be annoying. Or in this specific case, physically painful.

If a movie like My Bloody Valentine plays like a dime-store slasher picture, then adding 3D to the proceedings will only make it look like a 3D dime-store slasher picture.

There's no excitement or terror in watching the 3-D execution of 2-D actors giving 1-D performances, just the steadily diminishing returns of the same eye gouge delivered ad infinitum.

Despite being extremely corny this is still one entertaining Horror film. Take out the corny 3D effects, which did nothing for me as I was watching it in 2D, and you've got a great film that has a pretty good storyline to it with twists thrown at every corner! Our three leads play their roles well and are suited well for the film, in particular Ackles. The blood, gore and nudity are all on high but in a way that still works for the film. Overall it's pretty impressive stuff!

My Bloody Valentine 3D. Pretty typical teen horror movie. The only big plus of this movie is how the main villain uses his pickaxe. The rest is typical horror. We will fall many times out of the blue, go to a terrible place in the middle of the night, not call for help, but die one at a time, and so on.

Plot holes and red herrings aplenty. The remake to the 1981 Canadian horror flick boasts great 3D effects, a good cast but a pretty terrible script (so many characters investigating strange noises). Overall not a bad remake but nothing to write home about.

I never saw the original one but I caught this one on Netflix and its a pretty by the numbers slasher film with an ending you see coming a mile away.

Ok seriously, how is this loved so much?
These characters are extremely unlikable, besides Sarah. The CGI effects are horrendous and awful. The 3D effects are annoying. And this film looks so cheaply made.
The twist is obvious, so the filmmakers were like "let's make the other characters unlikable ****, just to add suspense." This is such a rushed cash grab with very little intelligence. But people like seeing crap being thrown at them in 3D, so this film is loved by the people who don't think. And the climax is very lame and underwhelming. It's just a short fight with a boring explosion.
