I'm pleased to report the new Land of the Lost movie keenly understands that what was once scary is now ridiculous.

The result is eight times as strange and exponentially more potty-mouthed than the original series.

Land of the Lost has stray amusing tidbits, but overall it leaves you feeling splattered.

Will Ferrell and Danny McBride can find the dumb fun in anything. Too bad that Land of the Lost is so much less than anything.

It's all so resolutely uninspired that even the kids in the audience may want to duck out.

Land of the Lost is one of those films so caught up in its concept it has forgotten its audience.

This dramatically, thematically and artistically bankrupt comic fantasy cost something in the neighborhood of $100 million to make and isn't worth the celluloid it's printed on.

Hey, I'm a Movie Lover so basically I love all movies, I'm not really a Will Ferell fan (The only movie I really liked of his was Stranger Than Fiction) But, this Land of the Lost, It wasn't awesome, and it wasn't bad either, it was cute, Like just something to watch when your bored or really high.........

I watched Land of the Lost, and it's kind of a mixed bag. Will Ferrell plays this scientist who ends up in a weird prehistoric place with dinosaurs and all sorts of strange stuff. He is pretty much the whole show, doing his loud, silly thing that he always does. Some of the jokes work, like the random visual bits that just pop up out of nowhere, but others drag on and feel off. The plot does not have a lot going for it, really. It jumps from one scene to another without much tying it together, which makes sense for a comedy, I guess. The creatures and the world look creative in spots, fun even, but then other parts seem cheap, like they ran out of time or something. It keeps moving fast though, so it does not get too dull. Supporting characters are there, but they do not stick with you much. I think the movie leans too hard on crude stuff, and while a couple moments had me laughing, most of it comes across as lazy. Overall, if you like low key silly movies, it might be okay for a quick watch. Not great, but not awful either. Earns maybe a 6 out of 10, I suppose, for the laughs that do hit.

Land of the Lost adventure comedy with Will Ferrell. Land of the Lost doesn't claim anything, it's a perfectly easy movie to watch for once. The journey itself in historical eras is mediocre, the visual series is not the strongest point of the film. Jokes are not particularly unique, and rather primitive. For the budget of such a film, special effects are made very mediocre, in some more budget films they look much better. Overall, The Lost World can be praised for its family-friendly viewing experience and "toilet" humour. Will Ferrell played great in the film, he is perfectly given such roles. And this is probably the most stupid film about tachyons and time travel.

Land of the Lost is truly that. The movie's concept is just a random unexplained adventure traveling threw multiple bizarre dimensions, and for that is to be absolutely hilarious. Land of the Lost has laughs few and far between going entire half hours without giggling. Will Ferrel displays his worst work to date with this terrible adventure "comedy".
