Some may be frustrated that Kaufman leaves viewers to figure out his ultimately puzzling narrative, but this film’s entrancing strangeness begins to assert a hallucinogenic hold. Even if the roads are sometimes treacherous, they’re well worth exploring.

The self-awareness of the film could have been unbearable, except awareness (and our fragmentary experience of it) is so entirely the point of everything that the film is wrapped up within and that is wrapped up within it.

Another Charlie Kaufman masterpiece. Amazing performances, presentation, and interesting if a little confusing story.

i'm thinking that this movie is completely misunderstood by most audiences. Being by far Kaufman's least accessible film, i'm thinking of ending things still remains one of his best. An elaborate puzzle that gives you all the pieces you need, and asks you to put them together. This film makes perfect sense once all the pieces fit together and even manages to genuinely scare after figuring it out. Probably the most well thought out film ever made with tons of little details and subtleties that the average viewer would probably just shrug off because of the confusing nature of the film. While watching, I highly recommend you pay full attention to the dialogue and background. EVERY line of dialogue is written with a purpose.

A special film, and occasionally an exasperating one, but not, in the end, an inaccessible one. It’s a work of emotional impressionism with moments of rueful grace and startling images that evoke yearning.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things is a weird, infinite, messy cacophony of reflections, somehow expansive in its narrowness and confrontational in its honesty to a soul-baring degree.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things nearly sustains something beautiful and sad that blends consciousness and time.

Bleak, bewildering, and a bit bonkers. Kaufman’s uncompromising originality is always welcome — but you’ll need time to let this one percolate.

The movie asks us to wonder what’s real and what’s false, and what it all means. But it goes on for 134 minutes without ever giving viewers a reason to keep watching. Few Netflix customers will make it all the way to the end, and even fewer will be glad they did.

A few movies have the value to make you change your way to live and I'm Thinking Of Ending Things has the first place.

No idea what I've watched but I don't really care. All I felt after watching this movie was damn another -2 hours of my life time. Putting random things together trying to be artsy or deep doesn't make a movie good. After watching Eternal Sunshine and knowing it's by the same guy it makes more sense. A movie has to be understood and work in a vacuum without prior knowledge like that. Which this movie doesn't do at all. This is definitely Kaufmann trying to hit a higher level than Eternal Sunshine in every way but imo he missed the mark. Missed potential!

Kaufman se fumó uno bien grande para hacer esto, aún así, me gustó un montón.

There is no great mystery in what Kaufman is trying to convey here, in fact it's pretty obvious and not nearly as clever as he and some critics think. The real problem with this movie, and it's a big one, is that it's so damn boring. Maybe Kaufman should stick to screenplays and let someone else do the directing from now on.

This is like Woody Allen on mushrooms.
Typical talkie movie trying to emulate works like said Allen and some David Lynch. No sense..
Kaufman has a twisted mind..
