I think it's a good film, as always Adam Sandler's performance is very good, and I would also like to praise the actor, the great Bo Cruz, because that's not what his work is, and he managed to deliver a pretty good performance. I think one of the coolest points of this film is seeing several stars and celebrities on screen participating in the film, that's really **** negative point is that I found the end of this film very quick, it could have been extended by a few minutes.

I usually like Adam Sandler movies. And I am all in for a feel good sport movie too. But this movie is none of that. And this movie dares to even call itself comedy? Where was the comedy? The story was too cliché to be interesting. The dialogue and script was too cringe. And just dropping cameo appearance from actual well known people from the NBA couldn't even save this movie. The movie tries to appear realistic and took itself too seriously but failed in delivering. What resulted was a high school movie for kids. Even kids knows better than to put up with this. The actors were stiff and predictable. It was not Adam Sandler best performance either. So this was an one hit miss forgettable movie, that the world is better off without it.

If you love predictable sports movies (particularly those about pro basketball), then you’ll absolutely love this by-the-book “Rocky”-esque underdog story with its formulaic rollercoaster narrative, monodimensional characters, ample highlight reel footage and predictable feel good vibes. If, however, you’re looking for something more substantial, search elsewhere, because you simply won’t get it out of this offering from director Jeremiah Zagar. While this is undoubtedly a capably made genre picture, it nevertheless doesn’t go beyond the time-tested, tried-and-true tropes of movies of this stripe, which can be fine if you don’t have high expectations but disappointing to those with more elevated aspirations. What stands out here most is the surprisingly tolerable lead performance by Adam Sandler, who has at last successfully learned how to rein himself in, an essential element for a film with more meat than his laundry list of deplorably silly comedies. It’s also a big improvement from his first stab at more serious fare, “Uncut Gems” (2019), but his selection as a Screen Actors Guild Award nominee for best actor for this performance is truly baffling considering the other more qualified candidates that he bested. Mind you, this is not awful or offensive fare; it’s just not especially memorable or moving. Save it for one of those times when there’s nothing else particularly great worth watching.

Wasn't moved by anything in particular. I did however appreciate the passion and effort of the performances, as generic and formulaic the screenplay may be...

Not a big fan of Adam Sandler but he really did knock it out of the park with this one. I hope he continues making films like this.

This is my first review of anything ever. I consider myself well versed in the film world. GOT best thing ever to hit the screen along with GF Part 1. I know this isn't a giant blockbuster or some crazy rare indie or independent film but I love this film and everything about it. I love Adam Sandler for making it, being a basketball fan, and an American. I love his loyalty to the NBA and his friends cause you see them in almost all of his films. I have been watching him since SNL and still enjoys alomst everything. But this film was wayyy different As for the film. I love basketball and our culture. I read the lower ratings people gave. They must not connect or like basketball. I mean top gun got better rating. I think that sums up how pointless Critics are. To all the critics - Noone cares about your opinions. you are like the weatherman, pointless with no insight and alot of fancy words. I dont think any critic knows the ins and out of the draft and player development, how hard it is to make it to the NBA and when you get your shot all the people that try to take you down. This film nailed it and if you cant see that start watching the High School, college, and NBA basketball and follow people on the draft journey that starts before highschool. I have watched sports movie since Hoosiers and this was one of the best along with He got Game and Friday Night Lights (the Movie) and invincible. If you feel that KFC ads and pizza hut are propaganda and can appreciate a good movie because you saw a Coke AD then or Mad that Netflix is a Monopoly, just know you **** The film was great from beginning to end and put my entire house in a good move for the entire evening. Well done Mr. Sandler, email me some time - ****

One of best movies this year and Sandler again delivers in dramatic role. If you like sports movies then this for sure is really good.

Classic, underdog sports movie. Hits all the right notes. Couple of random Sandler gags, but the basketball is pretty legit. Lots of NBA cameos throughout. Hernangomez does a great job in his first role. Anthony Edwards almost steals the show as the "villain." Could have used a little more Ben Foster, but overall a solid, feel-good movie.

Just about decent. On all technical aspects the film is great - acting, directing, immersion in a real and detailed world. It was greatly lacking in any real tension or conflict, however. The story itself was not, but the way the plot was presented it just never felt like anything significant was at stake.

I think that 'Hustle' overstays its welcome just one step, it should have ended at the Conbine, but I enjoyed Hustle way more than I expected. I don't know anything about basketball, I don't care about basketball, but a good movie can make you care and Hustle did that for me. I love when Sandler takes more dramatic roles, he is passionate about the game and that shines through here.

Adam Sandler plays a scout for the Philadelphia 76ers, who finds one last phenom in Spain and sets about to get him into the NBA. Sandler turns in a commendable performance and even manages to deliver the occasional funny line without resorting to his typical man/boy delivery. As his discovery, Juancho Hernangomez brings warmth to the character and their relationship, while displaying some impressive moves (he's actually a pro). Speaking of, the movie is crammed with cameos from basketball stars and coaches. Even though I didn't recognize most of them, I was still able to enjoy the story (a few less minutes of ball footage would have been fine).

Another bs propaganda film. Add to the list of literally every single other film that's been released in the past few years.

It's sort of rare nowadays that you find a new actor who is actually great in a main role.

Extremely dull and predictable, as if a computer algorithm wrote the script with a hard code to avoid risks, and with casting big names and NBA cameos to keep the audience's interest. Short scenes featuring Anthony Edwards were the only highlights in this bore of a feel good sports film.

Forging a champion takes time, dedication and patience, or does it? This sports comedy is made according to the known recipe, with an Adam Sandler like never seen before in his nearly 30-year career. To see it on a weekend afternoon, and with popcorn.

It ain't awful at all, m sandler as a want tobe basketball coach in a feature(over-)length sportsmovie. Nice and humble humour, advanced and spectacular basketball hooping, not so well cut but over the overall well managed and acted movie on how to baden powell'ing for the abilities out there in the sport of giants and, of course, the small bouncing white crickets.

As the NBA season ends with another Warriors championship, it felt right to watch Hustle. Just as Adam Sandler is a huge basketball fan, so am I. Hustle, a movie which recently premiered on Netflix, follows Stanley Sugarman (Sandler), a long time 76ers scout who has coaching aspirations. Sugarman finally finds a worthy talent in Madrid, a Spanish amateur baller, Bo Cruz. Fired up by advice from his long-time mentor, Stanley makes it his mission to groom Bo for the NBA as he believes they both can make it to where they are meant to be. Basketball montages, posterizing dunks, and giggles ensue. In Hustle, the comedic moments work very well even though they are few and far between, especially for a movie pegged on being a comedy. We got some classic workout montages and some great basketball sequences but not as much comedy. The flick is filled with young NBA stars and cameos. I'm looking at you Professor, AO and Bone Collector! The best part of this movie is that it gives fans a look into the hard work that the young men put into making it in a league of 400. Fans take it for granted what it takes to give them 82 exciting games a year plus the playoffs. For every star we see in the making like the LeBron's, Karl Anthony Townes, and Paulo Bancheros, there is a little known guy that is working his butt off just for a chance to be seen. That determination is what the movie embodies - the spirit of the little guy giving it all he has for his family back home whether local or foreign. On top of that, the movie gives a look at the struggle of those people who are overlooked that make the games work: the scouts, trainers, assistant coaches, and the other cogs behind the scenes. It is typical to get a movie from the head coach's perspective but we don't usually get the same for scouts and prospective assistant coaches. Sandler and crew do a really good job portraying this struggle. Long story short, sports fans, particularly NBA fans, especially NBA2k-ers, will love this movie. It's bringing my player to real life. Plus, there's Adam Sandler playing a basketball role that we just know he loves. A compelling story meets fun-loving-sports Rudy-esque story will always give you a big box of popcorn. Ole Beech.

Tales of sporting redemption: how many cinematic sons did "Rocky" give birth? An "evil brood": not only "Creed" but now also in MMA ("Embattled", "Bruised", "Born a Champion") and in the NBA with a bastard sequel to "Uncut Gems". For the incurable lovers of the same old story.

HUSTLE does not reinvent the wheel, but it is really effective thanks to nice performances, a vertiginous
editing and a correct script. Basketball scenes are so entertaining to watch, fast-paced with megafast montages and flashy editing. Obviously Adam Sandler stands the most, although Juancho Hernangómez and Anthony Edwards also impressed me. As a HUGE NBA & european basketball fan it was so fun to watch so many cameos and familiar faces. Apart from
some minor plot issues and mediocre dialogues, HUSTLE definitively deserves a watch.

Great movie and great Sandler performance! Maybe I just haven’t watched a sports movie in a while, but even though I knew where the overall plot was going, there were still some small twists along the way that surprised me.

This algorithm generated moving picture is one of the most depressing thing to watch. It is easily the most predictable plot seen in years. It is designed, packaged, marketed as the easiest palatable product to the undiscerning consumer (not a viewer anymore). It also manages to reduce beloved former NBA stars into 3 seconds money-grabbing vignettes. Hopefully people will wake up soon and stop buying Netflix. PS: watched from pirated website

Loved Sandler's performance and the tone overall. Plenty of NBA cameos for followers of the game. Juancho and Ant-Man did a terrific job acting in this.

My man Adam Sandler just got his great acting skill proves again with Hustle, he never disappoint when he was serious, Hustle is truly a great movie, and what surprise me the most is that just in case you don't know but most of Adam Sandler poor received film from both audience and critics is the movie that Happy Madison got involved with it, and all the good Adam Sandler movie and what i mean good is not only in my opinion, it's both audience and critics, like Punch-Drunk Love or Uncut Gems, those are the movie that Happy Madison not got involved with it, and in the rare cases only one Happy Madison Adam Sandler movie that are received positively by both critics and audience which is Reign Over Me, well Hustle is become the second rare one, it is just superb, what can i say about Sandler's serious acting skill, he's great, the supporting cast was great, it's a good inspirational story, well directed, it have those little Uncut Gems style and it's great, i really enjoy this movie, in the serious way it is fantastic, i really want people to watch this movie, i really hoped people get this movie right, because Hustle is simply not only one of the best films of the year, it is my third favorite and best Adam Sandler movie, good job Sandler!, i'm looking forward for more of this from him, and comedy that are just entertaining enough for me, and of course not for everyone but i still enjoy his comedy, Hustle is amazing.

In short, Hustle does what it wants to do very well. Although it has a cliché scenario in general, it does its job well-formulated from start to finish. It is a movie that will delight basketball, NBA and therefore sports lovers, because there are plenty of familiar faces in basketball. Acting is quite natural, especially Adam Sandler. Although most of the players were actually basketball players, they performed well. If you want to see a story from within the sport; If you want to watch how a basketball player reaches the top in a fun way, this movie is for you.

Not much to complain about this movie. Overall pretty good. The last chapter is dragging a little bit top long and kind of kill the emotional peak it could have reached but no big deal.

Everything is ordinary and predictable, but machinery works properly when its component parts are of good quality and function adequately. It's hard to break out of the clichés in the sports genre, but Hustle comes through despite this for the simple reason that there's quality in what it does, and that's more than indispensable these days when you're not tackling something new, but as long as there's aptitude, I'm a firm believer that people will respond. With a different leading man this film would probably have gotten lost quicker, but at least Adam Sandler manages to give his character an edge, and also provides the film with personality, so even if audiences think of it as a comedy, they'll give it a chance.
As an actor he has much better dramatic roles, but boy is it good to see him outside of the cheap comedy. Good option right here.

Hustle shows that Sandler should have slightly more dramatic roles to do a solid job, the movie shines for that and for the interesting story it handles despite being a bit boring at times.
