With a story built around the need to bring everyone, all the oddballs and weirdos and lost friends and new friends together with peace, understanding, and a lack of judgement, maybe now is the time we really, truly need Bill & Ted.

Although the tale feels a bit slight – and yeah, I’m still aware we’re talking about a Bill & Ted movie – the affair is ultimately breezy, harmless fun.

I feel it is most appropriate to judge this film on what it is. it's a sequel to Bill and Ted. These films are meant to be fun and trashy and not much more than that. For what I came to expect from Bill and Ted, this movie is a perfect third movie. it delivered everything I expected and more. it made me laugh my socks off, and it wrapped up in a way that I never thought was actually possible. how could this movie present a song that unites the world? how would that even be possible. hey can't make music that good. and yet the movie delivers on that front to such a degree that I was dumbstruck. I have never cried so much from joy that the back of my neck hurt. This movie completes my childhood. On it's own.. it is of course a very trashy movie. if it wasn't, it would not be Bill and Ted. in this day and age whre every film follows a formula and has to be the best lighting, the best comedy, the best sound etc. films are stagnant and I really miss what films used to be. this film is unshackled by all of that and it benefits because of that. forget your billion dollar CGI. forget your perfect lighting. forget your epic score. what we have here is a celebration of good music, friendship, family and honest good fun. I love this film so much I have watched it twice in the cinema so far. I intend to watch it many more times. it is truly a gift.

Like its predecessors, Bill & Ted Face the Music is ultimately just friendly fluff, but Winter and Reeves are charming together, and the need for Bill and Ted to grow up a little helps give the film a backbone.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is a pleasant escape for the quarantine-stricken, a sweet and entertaining romp that defies expectations by largely recapturing what worked about the series so many years later.

This slapdash movie, with its big-hearted, puppyish positivity, might not save the world but it will surely lift the spirits.

Even I found the film’s 90-minute running time draining, its story needlessly, maddeningly convoluted. I also lamented missed opportunities for in-jokes, sly sub-references, even guerilla fourth-wall demolition hijinks.

This whole half-baked sequel is a forced exercise, willed into being by the so-called “Keanussance” — society’s renewed love affair with Reeves. He’s a nice guy and a decent actor, but he’s made a lame movie. It’ll let down even hardcore fans.

I just loved this. I had always held out hope they would make another, but I realized, I was most likely alone. However, it has been gratifying to see that so many others went out and watched it too! They did a great job with the movie going with the grain of the previous movies. If you enjoyed Bill and Ted at all, you must see it! In these dark times it was a ray of sunshine.

It's a very enjoyable movie but everything else about it isn't that great in my opinion.

Oh dear. I remember the original 2 films fondly, from when I was a kid/adolescent in the 90s. It was certainly amusing seeing the two original actors go back to their iconic roles, as if over/about 30 years hasn't passed since the last Bill and Ted film was out. I like the message behind the film but it is certainly very cheesy and quirky. The plot is a bit thin, though it had potential but I didn't find it memorable and I certainly wouldn't say its better than the first 2 films. I like the fact we meet the two main characters teenage kids. One female character I found a bit too weird (and another robotic type one I found off-putting) but its a short film and it is what it is. Not entirely unentertaining, in a silly way - nostalgia enducing, this is very much a film for fans of the first 2 films. It won't appeal to anyone else, I'd have thought. A bit of a cult film, this. Its ok-ish, I wouldn't recommend it.

The movies have been so-so for the most part so I didn't go into this with high expectations. Needless to say, It was worst than I thought it'd be. The acting is below average at best with some of it being downright cringe-worthy. The plot honestly makes no sense. They're told to write a song to save the world and try to go back (really forward) in time to steal it from themselves. Well, Clearly they never wrote it in the first place which is why they summoned Bill and Ted hundreds of years into the future to scold them for being unable to do so. So from the premise alone, I was out. By the final act, I wanted to just skip until the end and I did. There were flashes early on of something decent but wow, this movie went into the toilet real quick.
