At its core, it's a light-hearted spy romp that riffs on a lot of the soap-opera tropes that crossover into the realm of espionage. "Dumb fun" might get thrown around a lot with Vaughn's films, and it might be true, but Argylle does try to be smart in its execution.

When Argylle is fun, it is really fun. Watching Rockwell and Howard run around the world is entertaining, for a time, but not forever. “Because these things will change,” as Swift sings in “Change.”... Maybe she should have written the movie.

Argyle review I love this movie one of my favorites I don’t like Elle went blonde and them dancing kill but I like when she did spit to kill I like that but I love how funny action pack fight scenes were fun I love mystery very adventurous I love that 5 star 10 out 10 star 96 out 100 star

For english below... Kamera, Schnitt, Schauspieler, Story... ich war lange nicht mehr so gut unterhalten. Aussergewöhnliche Audio- und Videoqualität auf AppleTV plus. Ich freu mich sehr auf die 4k UHD um es nochmal zu sehen! Cinematography, editing, acting, story... I haven't been this entertained in a long time. Exceptional audio and video quality on AppleTV plus. Looking forward to the 4k UHD to see it again!

Clocking in at a bloated and self-indulgent 2 hours and 19 minutes, filled with VFX sequences so cheesy you wonder if they’re supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, and bogged down by a plot so convoluted you’ll be reaching for the aspirin, “Argylle” is a bright shining pile of mediocrity.

Argylle is not as dreadfully unwatchable as the Kingsman movies, but it is dolefully derivative, as if The Manchurian Candidate and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty had a baby, then abandoned it to be raised on The Planet of the Apes.

Brawls and epic shoot-outs break out, droll action heroes and venemous villains smirk and sneer, bodies fly about and the body count soars in a light thriller that begins with great promise and stumbles into ponderous “streaming” pacing before the struggle to rally at the finale arrives.

And the more each new twist is revealed and summarily falls flat, the faster the next one is slotted into place to get ahead of the story’s anticlimax, leading to a spiral in which the plot becomes even more meaningless.

Argylle is a cynical cash grab that has the audacity to use that “new” Beatles song, “Now and Then” (itself a cynical cash grab pieced together with far more skill than this movie) as the basis for its score and the “love theme” for Aidan and Elly.

So much fun... Intriguing and entertaining! I loved that it was clean and lighthearted. A fun ride! I wish there were more movies like these being made right now. Great job to all involved in the making of this movie!

Overall feels average. Story/plot could be better. Feels like the fun is missing somewhere. Lead actors did pretty good acting. You can skip this one.

This is a kids movie sold as an adult movie that’s not for kids. **** they took Superman and put him in this dumb movie but at least he got a paycheck.
