A Walk Among the Tombstones

A dynamite thriller.

Neeson used his newfound box-office clout to get A Walk Among the Tombstones made, and he's the best reason to see it.

Neeson’s latest effort, A Walk Among The Tombstones, is slightly more subdued than his average shoot-’em-up, but no less gruffly satisfying.

With the combo of Neeson’s natural solemnity and his action chops, “Tombstones” treads compellingly amongst lesser thrillers.

Every year, so many artless, gormless, generically slick thrillers make their way into theaters that any time a genre director displays basic filmmaking smarts, the result ends up seeming like a retro novelty. Such is the case with writer-director Scott Frank’s murky potboiler A Walk Among The Tombstones.

The film is not a total disaster, however. There is a captivating, unsettling climax and some impressive supporting performances.

All of Scott Frank's thematic concerns are little more than window dressing for a run-of-the-mill detective story in line with '90s thrillers like The Bone Collector.

A Walk Among The Tombstones is a taut, gritty and overall stylish thriller, that is a rare brilliance in book to film adaptations. Liam Neeson plays a detective who gets a case to find out the killers of the client's wife, but slowly gets tangled with much more than he expected. The film is very well directed and written, Director Scott Frank did an awesome job with this feature and I want to see it 20 times more. AWATT is a gritty, awesome and excellent thriller that deserves a watch, even if it's for Liam Neeson.

Slow motion action movie from 2014. The movie already has a similar theme. There are two serial killers. They kidnap women and demand ransom, and when they get the money, they kill the women. Liam Neeson is an off-the-record detective who has been fired from the police. It comes down to this. There's a lot of nonsense. There is no one who has not seen the men who abducted the women, plus the model of the van is known. So he's just like Clark Kent when he changes color? My brother Liam, of course, is cunning to capture the killers. Oh Liam brother oh. Where you were Rob Roy, the days when you were Jean Valjean. There are scenes of sexuality and nudity in the film.

A Walk Among Tombstone's story is a battle against total depravity… Which makes the motivation of Neeson’s character riveting and it’s story engaging... Most of the time.

"A Walk Among the Tombstones" wastes Liam Neeson's typically fine performance on a clichéd storytelling, monotonous pacing, and flat-out uninvolving characters.

why is this rated green I think this is the worst films hes made it was VERY BORING its a F ING inspector film with a crappy twist which you see from a mile away I mean come on he gets dissmissed for his bullet missing and hitting a child and later a child gets fingers cut off the people that made this film are sick this wasnt a good film would not buy would not watch again stick to taken or other types of shoot them up films this had less then 3 mins worth of shooting so yeah crap and boring
