At the very least, Fantastic Fear of Everything has a fantastic central performance. And sometimes that's enough.

It's always trying to do something unusual. It has a great lead in Pegg. What it doesn't have is an ending or a clear reason what it wants to be.

Fantastic Fear leaps all over the place narratively and conceptually, servicing the comedy of every individual scene without considering or linking the others. Some of those individual scenes are marvelous, though.

There’s also little point and a garish quality that goes from pulp to junk fairly quickly, despite Pegg’s presence.

The dreary, loud, amateurish horror-comedy A Fantastic Fear of Everything...isn’t terribly interested in logic. Or continuity. Or filmmaking acumen. Or, most glaringly, laughs.

Crispian Mills's London-based horror-comedy is so spectacularly bungled that it leaves the viewer in a state of advanced petrification.

Undoubtedly one of the most unsuccessful work in Simon Pegg's career, the script is a disaster and really the film has no reason to hook you up, a complete disappointment.
Avoid it.

The Fantastic Fear Of Everything is weird enough to have a mind boggling story and a crazy Simon Pegg, isn't that enough to keep you from not watching this movie? It's a helload of crap being literally dropped at the Sundance Film Festival. It's weird as hell and Simon Pegg is being humiliated with the hilariously bad script and direction on screen. Avoid.
