Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is a good action isometric perspective RPG that knows how to take what you need from games like Diablo III or Path of Exile. Its playability is fun and demanding, although it does not escape the sense of repetitiveness inherent in the works of its genre. It highlights the excellent work that has been carried out in the system of skills improvements and levels rise, but it is dazzled by a multiplayer section still pending some improvements in its servers, although it has been on track since its launch. With a new mode at the end of the main campaign, the options for those who wish to stay are endless. Undoubtedly, one of the surprises of this beginning of the year that, will have to do with time if it stays in a “take away” while Diablo IV arrives or manages to keep his community hooked with new content.

It is not the new Diablo, nor an action RPG with great new additions: it is instead a game that celebrates features brought to success by others, to which we add some personal ideas that work.

Beautiful and interesting ARPG following the steps of Diablo and Path of Exile, but severely lacking in general polish.

With a good campaign and a nice combat feeling, Wolcen shines in the Hack'n Slash genra, even if it has a lot of bugs and suffers from difficulty balancing issues.

There may never have been so promising a game so completely destroyed by launch bugs as Wolcen.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is frustrating to play for the majority of its campaign, leaving you with little motivation to dedicate more time to endgame events. There are many technical issues that can be fixed to alleviate some of this frustration, but it's the deeper ingrained problems with difficulty balance and character build viability that keep Wolcen from fulfilling its enticing promise of a free-form ARPG. It has all the elements in place to become another engrossing time sink, but it doesn't execute well enough on any of them to make it worthwhile.

i never played the game at launch looking at reviews it must have been a mess but this game is amazing now. after i killed my first mob i was hooked the sound and feel is so good. graphics are so good really sad how much hate this game has

Surprisingly good ARPG, finally with controller support. Seems to have had lots of bugs, but I didn't encounter any. Nice graphics, mechanics as expected, but fairly short.

Where do I begin with this buggy mess and unplayable campaign? This game had nice potential because it tried to be competitive with its own ideas but failed to make the game balanced. I have played this game on steam for over 330 hours and I have gotten rollbacks, random disconnects and even invisible walls that prevented me from moving my character around during the game. It was a huge mistake to give this game time to improve. I can say though that the visuals and sounds are amazing so I can't complain there.

A failed diablo clone. The game repeats itself too much and the main story is very bad. Some parts become extremely difficult, the difficulty level is very unbalanced. I played for long hours but I don't like it so far. I will try again in the future.
