Wii Party U is a sizable and varied collection of minigames. It’s not much fun unless you have at least four people, but as it stands it’s a pretty good deal: a Wii remote and a big party game, for less than the price of a triple-A title.

It’s s good game. The side motes are really good! Gamepad Island is really bad. It took 1,5 hours to beat. The minigames are really good. Overall good game!

This is my favorite party game on Wii U alongside Nintendo Land. It's really impressive how many original ideas they had to create such out-of-the-box experiences with the Gamepad. That's something that makes ND Cube such a good development studio, and also sadly one that's so underrated, just like this game. Compared to the previous Wii Party game, I think this one has better minigames in quantity and quality. And as for the game modes, I feel that it is only slightly inferior to its predecessor, it is not bad at all in this aspect (I mean, its predecessor was phenomenal in this section), but many of the ideas in its modes that don't include the Gamepad feel almost like just another take on what was already in the first Wii Party. Besides that, this is truly a fantastic party game in my opinion.

This is probably one of the most underrated party games ever, and honestly I barely know why is so overlooked compared to the first Wii Party (which is also a great game), and most Mario Party games. I think Wii Party U has alot of great modes and ideas that have a decently enough amount of depht, and the minigames are pretty great and even better than the original Wii Party. The game still has alot of personality and charm for a Wii series game, just like its predecessor, and I think it's very different from Mario Party while being equally as fun to play with friends and familly. And it's definitely way better than the Mario Party games that were releasing at that time (9, 10, Super, and the 3DS ones)

Wii Party U is a surprisingly good party game that shows how quality and quantity can coexist in this genre.

We wanted a better implementation of the GamePad, but it still manages to be fun, and it’s definitely one of those games you will love when have some friends or family around.

With friends or family, Wii Party U can be a lot of fun. Not all of the minigames are great, some aren't necessarily worth a second look, but for a casual, laugh-filled gathering, Wii Party U has enough quality content and variety to provide an entertaining time.

Despite not being able to revamp itself, Wii Party U remains a decent party game for a great evenings among friends and relatives. Its aggressive pricing makes it even more attractive.

In a world in which everything has to be faster, more fluent and easier, Wii Party U seems to adhere to blueprints from a long lost past. Its decent appearance and care that’s been put in the mini games, aren’t enough to keep this dance going. Instead of that, it generates awkward silences in between decent moments of fun. That’s extra painful for it being a party game and all.

Meaningless microgames water down the package considerably. Instead of 80 plus games, many of which don't use the GamePad at all, Wii Party U would have been better served focused on what makes Nintendo's new home console unique. Of course, that kind of creative decision would have gone against what the real goal of Wii Party U is: to sell more Wii Remotes.

Good minigames and all, but i think the normal mode is overexaggerated and it just doesn't hold out as the OG Wii Party. With this said it still has peak extras like the ninja mode but the normal mode is SO long and boring.. idk why they overdid it

There are many games in this game that utilize the gamepad very much. It's good, could be better.

Okay. So I bought a Wii U and got this game! It was fun but it wore off after a while and I went back to Mario Party 2 with my friends. I did enjoy it at first though, and the features are very good, but I'm not exactly fond of it. If you want a party board game on the Wii U, get this game, but if you want a true party game, I suggest getting Mario Party 1/2 on the N64.

It could be better but it has awkward game controls and can be quite glitchy at times. The game graphics are weaker then the previous Wii Party game for the Nintendo Wii and the mini- games feel repetitive and used before from Wii party
